Hi Frankie

Tanx for the advise...Using a900 with Sigma 70-200 f2.8. Sent the lens for calibrating. Do I still have to send Camera n Lens to SSC?
As u can see the background blur is TERRIBLE...hehehe, does the distance between Subject n Camera play a part too???

The background blur is the lens bokeh characteristic, nothing much you can do about that. For focusing issue, the A900 has micro-focus alignment that you can use to compensate.

SSC may not entertain you if you want them to recalibrate the camera for the sigma lens. Generally, camera body recalibration is only needed if all/majority of the lens you are using are off focus.

Hi tankm

Tanx for the tip...yes did try to make the bokeh a little bit presentable but unable to. As for SSC, guess there's no point bringing it there. The micro-focus alignment (AF Priority set at DMF) was put to use whenever i can/have to. But will take sometime of getting used to the features the Camera has. Actually the Sigma works well with the a900. Just need more PRACTICE for sharper images hehehehehe

Hi Les

Gosh did u see the ring with a telephoto lens or u just have SHARP EYES !!!! I did not even notice it was there.....hehehehehe
BTW Guys, would it be good to have TC on the Sigma with the Sony? What would you guys recommend TC 1.4x or TC 2.0x ???

For the Sigma you can either use the Sigma or 3rd part TC, not Minolta or Sony TC.

Generally 1.4x TC still gives good quality compare to 2x TC.
