Hi Kevin,

glad to see you post. Perhaps you would like to host your photos in a hosting site (e.g. photobucket or flickr) and link the pictures here directly.

May I know what settings did you use for this picture? It looks a bit noisy? Did you use a tripod?

Hi bro, i remember i used the Auto settings in the helix bridge shoot so maybe that's the source of the noise...it was after that shoot then i read somewhere in a magazine abt ISO vs noise, aperture settings, etc. maybe should have switched to landscape mode or P instead and tweaked the settings.. do let me know how to improve though..i'd appreciate that a lot cos i'm going to australia for holiday soon and i would want to take good pics

hi there...

do play around with the aperture setting of the camera. the bigger the F number the more things u can include without having it oof...
As for iso: depending the light conditions around you, u may want to increase it if the environment is low lighting...
have not played with the other settings though... you may want to explore around the camera and find which works best for u...
have a safe and fun time at Australia...

u may wanna check out Ming's link pages too: http://s11.zetaboards.com/Alphamount_Singapore/single/?p=8005449&t=7012124

cheers

hi greybear,

yeah i read about the F thing.. took me a while to understand but i read it afterwords..

basically i think for landscape where everything is supposed to be in focus i would need a bigger F and probably a tripod to prevent the shakes blurring the pictures..

for the shot like the fountain to capture water i could have switched to my 50mm f1.8 to blur out the people behind and get just the water in focus..

for moving shots usually the F is 2.8 and the result would be subject in focus background blur..

on the bridge shoot i did bring a tripod but i was too lazy to set it up :P i was still dazed as it was 7 in the morning..and also because i thought i would need a tripod more for the night shoots..

the barrage shoot i left the tripod in the car and used the railings as support as far as possible...too bad abt the dust though...can't rem when i removed my lens..

anyway thanks to all for your comments so far...keep them coming..
