Good capture, Frankie. very sharp. What lens were you using. I was trying to capture BIF along Jurong Lake near to MRT track with my Minolta 500 Reflex. Got some shots but kanghu not there as result blur although bird centred in frame. Should have change to my SAL75-300mm but no time. Any brother with tips on this............?? Actually my bird flipped the fish in order to swallow head first in one gulp without even washing or bashing it. Your bird got gourmet taste washing his catch.

Hi Brother, I am now using the Minolta 300mmf4 for my birding. Whatever bird photos that I can capture with this lens I will just do it. If the bird is high up and very far away I will just give it a miss. Always look forward for another day. As Brother Leslie say Minolta 500 Reflex without tripod support it is very tough for birding and need lots of skill to use it handheld. As long as there is sufficient lighting most birds photo should turn out ok. Last time my BIF no eye to see. After many field trips and learning curve from our Alpha birders I then managed to get the formula right. Keep trying and know your camera and lens best settings will helps. |
