Thanks:) I was keep shooting the bird and that scene came unexpected when I organized these photo.
All photo taken with Sony A850 and Minolta Beercan 70-210mm.
I noticed that this combination has the tendency to underexpose in many scene (in Aperture mode) and sometimes I have
to manually set both the aperture and shutter speed if getting too dark. Does anyone know about this?

When the scene has extreme brightly lit and dark areas.. the metering can be fooled.

In such case, matrix metering may give this result when using A or S priority mode.

When you have main subject, which is small and fill only a tiny portion of your framing, as in birding, use spot or centre weighted.

If it still doesnt help, shoot with 1/3 or 2/3 stop under-expose. Safe bet is to use manual.

Thanks guru for the tips!! :Thanks:
I'm using the spot metering, guess have to stick to manual mode. But the only issue is it sometime
will overexpose whenever the sky cleared. Sometime too enclosed I didn't realized the whether changed. :mymistake:
