Love the red-bellied woodpecker against the white background. :thumbsup1: :thumbsup1:

Can you perhaps at later stage share with us how the camera responded to the cold temperature..........??
Does shutters freeze up & how you keep it a body temperature?

thanks bro :)

i did checked the manual before bringing the cam out. it states the operating temp for alphas is between 0 to 40 degreeC. giving some safety factor, i think it can still operate at -10 degreeC (try at your own risk though  )

the environment i was shooting in was between -5 to 5 degreeC. no issue whatsoever with the camera & the lenses. the parts that were "jamming" were my fingers!

only challenge that i had was with the viewfinder. sometimes, it gets a little fogged up due to my breathing and the eye lashes can also "blur" the viewfinder a bit because of moisture.
other than that, no issue with shutter freezing on my a550 while shooting multi-frames (3-5 frames no prob).

i was slinging my cam on my shoulder... never thought about keeping it warm
