think a good price at my opinion at such a condition would be around $2k.. then again, that is my opinion la... I believe we would recommend the cz 24-70 lens if budget and weight isn't a constraint. Cheers! |

Greybear, as for weight, i got no constraint but for $$, it matters alot, especially to my wife!!! So its a 2-tier constraint. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation, but 24-70cz is way beyond my budget, as for now. I think utimately, i targeting 1 reasonable priced and good walkabout lens (KM 28-135 or Sony 16-105 or Sony 18-250) and 1 wide angle for landscape. Is KM 28-135mm good? Seen -ve and +ve remarks about it. Does sony's 16-105 and 18-250 get cropped on A850? I felt the impact of the crop using (A200) kitlens DT 18-70mm. |

16-105 and 18-250 like DT 18-70mm are DT lenses meant for crop bodies like A200. If put on A850, it will be switching back to crop sensor again. A850 being FF and 24 MegaPixel, to make full use of the sendor and resolution best is to use CZ24-70. If not, get any fixed or pime lenses like KM 50mm 1.7, Sony 50mm f/1.4 and so on. KM 28-135mm, Tamron 24-135, Sony 24-105, 28-75 are some cheaper options. But you will not realise its power. Good lenses is very important now for FF camera. |

Erm, the a850/a900 can use any lenses but it will auto crop for Sony/Minolta DT lenses. And you won't want to use the 18-70 with your A850. Its like having Bugatti Veyron stuck at gear 1! |

My student back from HK. They cannot find any shop selling A850. All out of stock for a long time even Sony Style.
