Hi Guys the firmware 1.04 is finally here Go to this link from Sony Asia Pacific to do the update http://www.sony-asia.com/support/download/478891/product/slt-a77v For the A65 is it out too No time to try out just upgraded the firmware playing at home the higher ISO noise handling seems to have improved but got to wait till free to try out more Cheers Paul |

Initially I've posted from the pther forum that there's no changes guess it was my sitttings that's causing the noise level to match with FW1.03 and 1.04. When i sa the DPReview discussion and follow the settings looks like jpegs OOC has improved greatly I have not process my RAw files to JPEG see if there's more improvements. Here's my sample pix taken by FW1.04. I've already deleted those my FW1.03 tests after my initial test. Now these photos are only for us to see how A77 FW1.04 now handles noise =) I onlt have the folder link as pix are all in original size so you could view them 100% and see for your self. To my eyes looks like I could use the photos upto ISO6400 =) last time max I could comfy go was 1600 more than that i hate the noise and washed out image. http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j320/albertri/A77_FW1_04/ so what do you think guys hoepfully they could came out with few more FW update to make A77 IQ and noise control be like NEX 5n =) |
