Anyone love these little guys? I definitely loved the choice of these starters!

My personal favourite has always been Mudkip! So adorable, and Swampert is such a beast! Treecko is my next favourite and I admit that its evolutions are really cool!

Torchic is neat, but I prefer the other two. Torchic sure seems to get a whole lot more love though compared to the other two. Hope Swampert and Sceptile get Mega Evolutions someday soon!

Torchic is good because it becomes a strong Fighting type. Mudkip is good because it becomes an Earth Type, making it inmune to electric attacks and also guarantees the third badge. And Treecko, well I have heard a lot of people saying it sucks. I have tried it a few times, but I usually stop training it and get other Grass type pkmns.

Treecko's not that bad. In fact, I was using one in my recent Emerald playthrough. xD

It's just that Swampert and Blaziken have much better offensive capabilities. Poor Treecko doesn't really get much good moves aside from Leaf Blade and Giga Drain (both of which come late in the game).

Though Grass starters are generally the harder ones to use. They rely on their bulkiness. Treecko was unique in that it was super fast too. I'm quite fond of the gecko Pokemon myself.
