Marine iguanas sure are neat reptiles. Exclusive to the Galápagos Islands, they are known as marine reptiles as they are capable of both living and adapting to both land and the sea.

Interesting creatures. Feel free to discuss them here!

They are very neat and unusual too. XD Definitely very unique additions to the reptile family as a whole.

Apparently, some marine iguanas can dive up to 30 m or 98 ft. :0 Apparently, they also sneeze because they swallow saltwater from the waters they hunt in.

Guess this is why it's proper manners to blow your nose after sneezing. :P

I guess it is. XD

Marine iguanas sure are mysterious. Can be quite beautiful in the breeding seasons as well with their colourful scales.

These are neat animals. They sometimes hybridize with the Land iguana.

That's interesting to know. Must be quite a hybrid whenever that happens.

I used to have a book about them though I haven't seen it in years. :-/

Oh yeah, it's really strange. It has characteristics of both species. It doesn't go in the water, but it does feed on cacti.

That's sucks. :/

That's an interesting breakdown of traits it received. Unfortunate it loses its love for the water though. Quite a distinguishing feature of the Marine Iguana.

Yeah, I'll definitely get new animal books. Would help a lot. XD

Marine Iguanas also "sneeze" to get rid of saltwater.

Sounds like a handy sneeze. To have saltwater within the nose just sounds awful, though such a big sneeze is quite amusing to watch from the Marine Iguanas. XD

It's funny to watch them do that. XD Though, wish I could see a live one! That'd be so cool.
