So what's your view of blood - the basic fluid substance within all animals? We are comprised of a lot of blood and despite it being within us, we don't usually have to see it unless we get an injury, cut, or operation. Some people feel queasy around blood as it frightens them while others are fascinated by it and the components within it. As for me, I'm personally neutral with blood. It certainly interests and honestly observing my own blood is not something I find scary. It's cool to know how it comes from our bodies and the functions it performs such as transferring oxygen and nutrients throughout our body. Seeing a lot of it at one place can be intimidating, but other than that, I think blood is generally interesting. Your thoughts? Edited by Captain Toad, May 24 2013, 04:52 AM.

I think blood is very interesting. I like it, it doesn't make me squeamish, but large amounts do. Probably because of movies.

So true. Movies really seem to use a ton of blood for the horror aspect. Kinda ruins the mood too. No wonder so many people feel afraid of blood. So overemphasized as something horrific thanks to movies. |

Yeah... It's in us. Don't get why people are scared of something that's inside of them. ![]() Though, when I cut my finger with scissors, scary amount of blood... x.x |

Dang, must have been a tough situation to face that time. DX Though true about your other point. We are basically bags of blood on our own. XD They play such an important function, and if it weren't for them we wouldn't be able to survive or even exist for that matter. |

I bet. I don't like seeing large amounts of it at the same time.Blood can taste odd at times though. Sucking on injuries does help at times with the healing properties of saliva, but at most times - blood drops taste rather bittery or salty. XD |

Mine is weird. It tastes like normal blood usually, but lately it's taste quite bitter. A lot of people are squeamish about menstrual blood, but I'm certainly not so. It's just blood, really. |

Blood is blood indeed. You're right. Many people in general just make a big fuss over blood. Though, there are those dried blood art. Those sound kinda interesting. |

Dried blood art looks interesting. Not sure if I'd want to do that myself, but it'd be cool to watch someone else. |

I wouldn't want to do it either, but sounds to cool to just observe art made from it. Original paint indeed from our own bodies. |

Dang, Castiglia really made some neat art with his own blood though at a price too. Must be very difficult to use one's own blood. He certainly has a strong dedication to his art!

Same here, I doubt I could pull it off either! Definitely takes bravery to do such a thing - it's even risky too. :0 Surprising talent for certain artists though. Amazing to see the ways blood can be used. |

Paper cuts are an instance that can get real annoying with blood. Oh yeah, and shaving too. o.o Cutting over a pimple can hurt quite a bit! Aftershave does come in handy (though stings for sure).. |
