Here's a simple question. Do you believe in aliens or extraterrestrial life forms? Aliens have always been popular life forms in science fantasies, but many believe that they do exist. I personally believe that there must be some form of life out there in the universe. Earth can't be the only planet to sustain life and there's so much out there in the universe that we don't know about. Could there be alternate realities in a different universe? I personally believe aliens do exist as a result. We can also discuss aliens/extraterrestrial life and their potential existence here too! Edited by Captain Toad, Jun 1 2013, 07:23 AM.

Pretty much what EM said. Given how many stars and planets there are in the universe, I think that from a purely statistical point of view, it would be extraordinary if we were the only ones out there. The discoveries of the last few years only seem to further support the idea that we are not alone. However, I have no idea what form these extra-terrestrial lifeforms would take - and I don't believe that any of them have ever visited us .

It would be cool if there was a discovery related to true aliens in our lifetime. Would be cool indeed. XD |

Yes, it would. It'd be cool if there's life under the oceans of Titan. |

That would be very interesting. We humans are definitely uncovering quite a lot of secrets within space though the idea of aliens is still a big mystery. Would be great to discover some just to prove the existence of aliens. I wonder how they would look. Would their biological anatomy and build look much different from the structures of the creatures on Earth if a similar planet that is capable of sustaining life was to be discovered? Who knows. The depictions of aliens have always varied from cute to horrifying, so it's a big mystery for sure.

I'm going to guess, because of convergent evolution, that they will either be similar to fish or jellyfish. |

Aliens would definitely look fascinating in that type of appearance. Certainly would be strange if we were to come face to face with one of fish/jellyfish like creatures as well. What a surprise! ![]() There's also the possibility if they turn out to look much different than we had ever imagined. Who knows how far into development and evolution such extraterrestrial creatures may have went through? :0 Edited by Captain Toad, Jun 25 2013, 12:39 AM.

Wouldn't rule out that possibility. Aliens can take on the form of just about anything as long as they come from outer space. That's what makes it so intriguing too! A giant worm? Sounds scary and fascinating at the same time. Perhaps they'll look completely unique too. |

Would they even be carbon-based? I keep hearing about silicon-based, or even nitrogen-based, lifeforms. |

Silicon-based would be definitely interesting lifeforms. Highly probable. |
