Mayfly adults are short-lived insects, some living a few hours and some a few days. Their order name even means "short-lived, winged". The nymphs (larvae) are aquatic. Mayflies are closely related to odonates.

Doesn't sound like they have the most thrilling lives, but it's neat to know of their relation to odonates. They do have a resemblance of sorts.
