Of the HHG? Yes, I think it's the only tv series that they've made for it, outside of the radio series which used virtually the same cast. It was pretty faithfully done since Douglas Adams was the one working on the series.

Speaking of which, has anyone read the "new" HHG book "And Another Thing."? I haven't but I've heard it's just terrible.

I wish that had made more with that. I loved the theme music for it. The movie they made a few years in my opinion wasn't totally horrible. I haven't read the new HHG book, honesty I stopped really enjoying them after Life, the Universe, and Everything. Things just got too confusing.

I may be in the minority here, but I preferred A Bug's Life to Cars.

Probably because Cars was essentially a duplicate of Doc Hollywood - just with cars instead of people.  And while Cars is fun, I preferred the Michael J Fox version myself.

You know I hadn't realized that...I think the reason I liked Cars more than A Bugs Life was Mater. Though I'm not a huge fan of Larry the Cable Guy.

I agree, the movie was bad. There were parts I enjoyed, but the biggest problem was that Douglas Adams died before it was finished. If they didn't try to take so much from all the books and just focus on one, it might have faired better.

As far as the books, I've read them all several times, and I know what you're talking about. So Long and Thanks For All the Fish was really mixed up, and Mostly Harmless was sort of a downer, but Adams said he was having bad times when he wrote them and that he wanted to go back and write another to tie up loose ends with MH. I refuse to read the new one because I don't want it to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I have read of short excerpt of it, and I really didn't like it.

I think once I get around to it I'll at least try to read it.

Man, Winter's Bone is good. It really makes me want to move to Missouri/Arkansas, learn to play the banjo, and smoke meth. Seriously, Jennifer Lawrence is sensational in it.

Going to see Tron: Legacy tomorrow, if it is disappointed except dark rumblings.

I have only recently discovered Yentl, and I'm not sure if I agree with the hype or not. On the one hand, beautiful music and fun story. On the other hand, it's a Streisand ego trip... I don't approve of ego trips.

Beats the hell out of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, though.

I've had a couple of people tell me the same thing, two of which I know to be die hard John Wayne fans.

The Killer diected by John Woo. This movie is why Hong Kong actions films beat anything Hollywood puts out. Action, comedy, drama and romantic elements all in one movie. Add it the over the top action sequences, cinematography, and the excellent acting by the two leads Chow Yun Fat, and Danny Lee. Quite possible the best investment I made since buying Appleseed Ex Machina, and Lady Snowblood.

I saw The Muppets with my sister on Wednesday, before Thanksgiving. I loved that movie, so SO much - and not just because of all the fun cameos sprinkled throughout the film. For me, it was just great to have another Muppet movie again. :D

Limitless is simply awesome.

If that's the movie I think it is (a guy who discovers a tablet that expands his mental capacity, etc.), I'll second that. I saw it a few months ago, and I really enjoyed it.

Never really got the appeal of Bradley Cooper. He always looked like such a goofball on Alias, and it doesn't appear that's changed much.
