See my sig for the music that makes me happy at the mo (don't bother with the videos, they're nowt).

The debut Filthy Dukes album, Nonsense in the Dark, is ok but I expected much more. They remain truly awesome DJs; I must get my arse down the Queen of Hoxton to see what it's like.

Sorry, I'll quit the Londoncentricism now.

genius!

also genius!

Haven't seen any live music in ages, but am listening to three new albums a lot: Regina Spektor, Wilco, Dinosaur Jr.: all excellent.

Really like Madison Violet after hearing them on the Bob Harris, and am going through an unexpected foray into Lucinda Williams's back catalogue.

Charter Nation
On a big The New Pornographers kick, with smatterings of David Bowie and some traditional Chinese pipa music. Favorite TNP album so far: Mass Romantic.

Yeah, Tim Minchin is awesome. He's playing, I think next weekend, in Islington, and we were thinking of going to see him again. His Edinburgh show was fantastic.

Current listening:

Norah Jones's sounds good so far.

Stornoway are quite catchy, though I can tell by looking at them they represent all that is wrong with Western society.

Got a Best of Wolfstone at the folk fair for £2; it has an excellent live version of "Tinnie Run", among other gems.

Tim Minchin's playing Islington? That's my home! Fuck, I paid a shedload (don't drink and buy online...) to see him in Hammersmith. Where in Islington?

Hrrm, can't remember now; I'll email my friend and find out. (It is entirely possible I'm speaking complete bollocks, of course.)
