Also Kate Nash.

Ugh. I feel violated.

I've been revisiting a lot of Beastie Boys stuff recently, plus I've finally discovered the joy of Hot Chip (And I was a boy from school is wondrous). Also, for anyone familiar with the obscurest depths of the Camden Town acoustic balladeer playing to crowds of seven scene (ahem): James Marples.

I'm just off to see Teenage Fanclub play, so have been "pre-gaming" with Bandwagonesque and Songs from Northern Britain.

And You Can't Hurry Love by The Supremes.

How so? I've only heard the songs from her Foundations EP, and thus far "Foundations" is the only one I really like.

I don't think anything else she does is very good. She's on par with Jamie Oliver- who seems to be the next american foodie character, which I can't understand because I dislike him immensely.

Yeah, at least Gordon Ramsay can curse moderately well. :dixie:

My newest catch sound-wise: Relativity's eponymous EP. Disbanded (and partially dead) Celtic bands ftw.

Oh and Smurfs, thanks for the head"phones" recommendations--ended up getting both types. Veddy nice to not be crushing pinnas and canals.

I've been listening to a lot more Rachmaninoff lately. Primarily op 3 no. 2 and op 23 no. 5.

Oooh. My absolute favorite is his Prelude in C sharp minor. Tried to learn it, failed.

Rachmaninoff is awesome. My favorite by him is either Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini or Piano Concerto No. 2

Graagh. Unfortunately, this post was only the second most stupid thing I did last night...

Boxer by The National and Under The Blacklight by Rilo Kiley, if only to prove I have *some* new music in my collection. And am just about to go buy some stuff by The New Pornographers.

Op. 3 No. 2 is c-sharp. I love it. From what I read it is probably one of the hardest pieces to recite. I can play some of the chords, but that's about it.
