Maybe we better wait until next season, then.  Is this an annual thing?

This season starts on Aug 14 and will end Sept 28. Then the next season will start in early-mid Oct.

Congratulations to Goatforce Gruenberg, champions of season 13! This is Goatforce's 4th championship and they finished the season undefeated.

We're now down to 6 teams with the demise of Jokelahoma and VL Arch Vektorz. We can play a season with only 6 but it's more fun if there are more teams. As always, all of you are invited to join the league. Here's the link: http://www.xperteleven.com/?lid=140663

Would any of you object if I shared this on Facebook, invite some people from outside the region?

Not at all - I was thinking of inviting some of the people from my fantasy (association) football league to join.

As the original founder of the league, I have no objections.

I just approved your application. Welcome!

I'm going to try to get at least one more team before starting the next season. That would give us eight.

Just out of curiosity, what do I have to do with my new team? I've never done web forum sports things before.

First thing to do is set your lineup. Make sure your best players are starters. Then set your tactics for the first match.

I've challenged your team to a friendly match, by the way. It would be a good idea to play a couple of "friendlies" before the season starts (except you probably only have time for one now). Also, if you haven't logged in to your team since creating it you've probably got some money waiting for you. Your sponsor gives you 1,000,000 per week to spend on new players and assorted other stuff.

Post a long, tedious, boring post with every player's history to three generations as well as some really bad Paint files of your "kit".

Oh, wait. That's NS sports.

I saw your email but couldn't click the "agree" button for some reason. Was there a deadline that I missed?

Looked over my lineup, made a few fixes, and we should be ready to meet Goatforce Gruenberg today.

Yeah I think there's a cutoff for friendlies right before the season starts. And don't be discouraged by a loss to Gruenberg. It's your first match and they are the defending champions after all.

5-0 loss, ugh. Rough start. I guess all new franchises have to work to prove themselves.

Even those who've been around get stomped TEK.....of course if I'd remember to log in before matches and set tactics and lineups I might do better. :(
