Theres a difference? The lame duck Congeressman from WV, Alan Mollihan was all three in one.:P Here in my district in WV we voted the bastard out, now we have a choice between a "supposedly" moderate Democrat from around Morgantown, or a Republican from Wheeling. I'll probally vote for the local fellow(for me anyway). Besides after the stimulus bill, and Obamacare, I really don't trust any Democrat who claims to be moderate. for some reason as soon as pressure is put on them by the Dragon Lady, they fold. Now we have the "Sheets Watch" here in the State. Will the old boy make it to 2012? And if he doesn't, will our Governor name himself for the seat? In PA, Spector was beat like a rented mule(as Mike Lange would say), so I'm hoping Toomey will win. |

Hmm, maybe the W.H. should have offered Sestak a pay-raise along with that job offer? Then he would have left poor Arlen alone! (Isn't it pathetic, though? Specter leaves the GOP because he can't win their primary, and the W.H. still has to engage in (alleged) dirty dealings to try to clear the Democratic field for him?) |

Darn it. I was going to leave the GOP and register as an independent, but now that California has approved the so-called "open primary," and the state GOP suggesting closed caucuses as a way to counter it, I may not be able to. |

Am I the only one who thinks this Alvin Greene saga is like manna from heaven? Political intrigue, conspiracy theories, a bumbling, clueless hero, sex scandals - this story's got it all! |

There's got to be something up with that- either that, or even really, really underestimated the anti-incumbency vibe in the country. I mean, I knew people were angry, but not so angry as to vote for someone who they didn't even know anything about. It's like when the Natural Law Party shows up on the ballots- no one knows who the hell they are. |

For a while it looked like things wouldn't change in NC, but given Bob Ethridge's latest incident the whole outlook has changed. I'll be glad to get the Dems out of office here, they have run this state into the ground. |

Heh, you should check out my neighboring state of PA. Fast Eddie Rendell has taken a budget surplus and rainy day fund and turned it into huge deficits. He even tried to tax the PA Turnpike, or sell it off to the highest bidder to get additional revenue. Pittsburgh is still in receivership, and once council member had the audacity to praise one of the former mayors who helped bankrupt the city. |

Well, the crook beat the liar in my Congressional district primary, so now the election in November is going to be a rematch--the same two guys ran against each other in 2008. Should be interesting. :seesaw: |

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/08/25/b...a_n_693810.html He's 33, the same age as me, and his resume is just as thin (and his Internet posts just as raunchy). If only my dad were Vice President of the United States; I could be headed to Congress right now! |

Very interesting video. I try not to get mixed up in political ads because they can be misleading, but my mind is made up for 2012 come what may in the next two years. I'm interested to see what the aftermath of November is really going to be like. I'm nearly certain I know how it will fair for Democrats, but I wonder how much better the Republicans can really do. The die has been cast and without some MAJOR overhauls and cuts we're not going to be any closer to a stabilized economy. Forget about recovery, things are never going to get back to the way they were before the down turn. |
