NPCs Thumos Status: Deceased Spartan God of Rage, took the form of a blood drenched warrior. Birthed when the Spartans feared the Kai's retribution against them in the Peloponnesian Unification War. Was killed when the people of Sparta lost faith when they saw Feklu's reapers descend on the city, they assumed it meant that Sparta was to fall. After the sacking of Sparta by the Kai's forces the remaining followers of Thumos mysteriously killed themselves and butchered their God causing the first widening of the Breach Zone. Thumos was a short lived but very wrathful God, he was nothing more than a spirit birthed out of pure malice and hatred. It is likely that if the Spartans had won the war then Thumos would have consumed himself since he had no other purpose than revenge. Kuriosolinus (AKA Lysso) Status: Active Whereabouts: Unknown Rumoured to have existed under a different name way back to when mankind had not even acquired fire. They say something happened to him which caused his fall from grace. He is the God of Madness and Chaos, he takes many forms but his favourite is of a smirking human with green eyes. He is nearly always accompanied by white rabbits. He has no specific goals and no discernible cults nor religions. Nobody has worked out how he gains his worship. The only thing can be said is that he delights in causing madness and chaos. He caused the destruction of Thekasios' original afterlife and the horrific mutilation of the souls within, he possessed the mayor of Phokea and attempted to drag the war between The Five and Orubashi out for as long as possible, he held sway over The God-King Darius and possibly caused his downfall. It begs the question... is he actually that mad? The God-King Darius I Status- Deceased Born a human he ascended to Godhood through the consumption of human souls. His son, Xerxes, was so horrified by this realisation that he overthrew his father and exiled him to the province of Anatolia. Darius grew a new and powerful Persian enclave in Anatolia and initially held peaceful relations with both his son and his up and coming neighbour Orubashi. This state of affairs was not to last however as war broke out between Darius and Orubashi, during this time unrest built up in Darius' kingdom as more and more souls were being devoured by him coupled with his capital at Ankara being heavily besieged by Orubashi lead to him being killed in his throne room. In a fit of madness at the end he devoured his favourite wife and murdered his other children... they say a white rabbit could be seen giggling in the corner. Before the war with the Daemon of the East, Darius was a fairly benevolent ruler who despite his penchant for human souls treated his people with respect and was open to diplomacy and trade. It was only after he began to shut himself in did things descend into anarchy. It is sad to see such a competent ruler fall so far. Nyarlanthotep Status- Unknown Whereabouts- Unknown A being of ancient and immense power, called a thousand different names by a thousand different nations. In the Mediterranean region it was known as The Black Pharaoh or Batod. It left Earth after being freed from its prison by The Five. The mere mention of its name can cause it to appear. Primordials save us if it returns... Set Status- Deceased The Aegyptian God of the Desert and Chaos. Was not as evil as his brothers and sisters made him out to be. Set knew that his role was to ensure balance in the world and took his duty seriously. This duty was fully unveiled when he discovered the possibility of The Black Pharoah's escape from its prison under the desert. Set took radical measures to ensure that the being stayed submerged thus he slew Osiris and chopped him into three pieces to act as a temporary anchor to the prison doors, this would give him time to wipe out all sapient life along the North African coast. This was in case the Pharoah emerged, once it realised it had nothing to feed on it would return to its slumber thus allowing the prison to be rebuilt and to entomb it for another 10,000 years.Set in doing this act knew he would be ending his own life but he felt it was for the good of the world. Due to the slaying of Osiris however the other Aegyptian Gods led by Isis fought fiercely against Set and his minions. Some Gods were deceived by Isis while others believed that perhaps Nyarlanthotep could be stopped by their combined stregnth. This resulted in the The Five intervening in the war and turning the tide against Set. In an attempt to explain himself Set tried to force The Five's hand in turning back, however once a prophecy which was unveiled was spoken to Set he believed that fate had destined him to fail so he ask that Yam-Apep would kill him so that at least he would die nobly in the line of duty. Thus Set met his end at the hands of Yam-Apep, Osiris was brought back to life and The Black Pharaoh escaped. Isis Status- Active Whereabouts- East Africa (from scant information) Aegyptian Goddess of fertility, married to Osiris and was Queen of the Aegyptian Pantheon. Originally well beloved by all along the Nile and at one point had minor cults in Italia, Crete and the Peloponnese although these were extinct by the time of the new Gods arrival. At the slaying of her husband she was so blindly in love with him that she could not stand to live in a world without him. Thus she justified the end of the world was right if she could spend her last moments with Osiris. She tricked and manipulated the Five along with many other members of the Aegyptian Pantheon into releasing The Black Pharoah and resurrecting her husband. After this occured she fled the scene with Osiris in tow and the two have been in hiding ever since, rumour has it they have been rebuilding in East Africa... Thoth Status- Active Whereabouts- Great Library of Aegypt The God of Knowledge and Wisdom, Thoth was unmatched in the Aegpytian pantheon for his intellect and belevolence. A patron of human advancement Thoth sometimes stood against his brothers and sisters, Thoth often to escape their ire travelled the known world in attempts to gain as much knowledge as possible. This meant that he came into contact with many of the older Gods. His most recent clash was when he proposed that slave labour be replaced by some sort of steam powered engine, this was shot down by the other Gods however for unclear reasons. Thoth was the first Set consulted in on the matter of The Black Pharoah, records indicate that Thoth visited being in an attempt to understand it. Nobody knows what down there but Thoth returned with his memory wiped in an attempt to preserve himself so that he could continue to fight the war. Thoth left clues to the truth of Nyarlanthotep but being Thoth the clues were so lofty and obscure that nobody else could ever seek to decipher them. When The Five entered the war against Set, Thoth seeing that Kypselia had similar views and ideals to him transferred his Godhood over to him thus allowing him to study in peace in the libraries of the world. Sobek Status- Active Whereabouts- River Nile Sobek was known as the temperamental God of the Nile, taking the form of a vast bejewelled crocodile he would bring both bountiful harvest and fierce floods. Despite his savage appearance and destructive effects the God was loved and respected as the life giver of their mighty civilization. Sobek was among one of the many to have been tricked by Isis, upon Set's defeat Sobek allied with The Five and has been working with Thoumm to rebuild the shattered lands of Aegypt.
