I thought that it would be a good idea to have a thread where people can show their deities to new players and old players alike. Here, players are encouraged to give information about their deities. Don't worry- anything you don't want people to know about (such as secret moves) doesn't have to be included. These profiles would be updated after every update by Dial, so that they are kept up-to-date and don't make you god out to be any better/worse than they already are. Below I have made a rough template for how profiles could be structured. I shall probably upload a profile of my deity today if I have the time. [big][big]Deity Name[/big][/big] [big]Deity's titles- only ones used in game, please.[/big] Picture if you have one Description: This is for your deity's chosen physical forms, forms in dreams/illusions, and any other forms it has appeared in in the past. It would be useful to include gender here if it applies. Personality: What can we expect your deity to act like? Breach Zone: Where did your deity first appear? Domain: What domains does your deity have an influence over? You can go into detail here if there are specifics. Prophet: Who is/was your prophet? How did they hear of you? Where are they now? Followers: How many followers do you have? Who does your deity gain worship from? How do they worship you? Influence: Where does your deity get worshiped? How much land do you control? Do you have temples or cathedrals or statues in your honour? Miracles: Here is where things get longer. What can your deity do that makes them a deity? What minions obey them? What weapons are at their disposal? Allies: Are you in a pantheon or allegiance? Is your deity friends with anyone/anything? Why/why not? Enemies: Do you have enemies? Why are they your opponents? Have you defeated any opponents in the past? Key events: What events have shaped your deity's history? e.g. wars, alliances, mistakes, pacts, military decisions, changes in worship, miracles etc. EDIT: Edited to nocode to enable copy-paste - Holben Edited by Jabberwocky, Jun 30 2014, 08:42 AM.

Titles have replaced the use of domain under your deity's name. Please only use titles that have been used in game. |

Ollphéist![]() (Image by Flisch) Description: As of yet, Ollphéist has no true form. When appearing in visions, it has appeared as a being of shadows, which “shifted in form but remained as one being, shifting from boar to badger to crow to oak tree to owl to man to something in between them all.” In its current state, Ollphéist appears to followers in a vessel known as the boar oak; a giant oak tree, with a pig’s head at head height sticking out and facing north. The tree houses different life in the form of parasitic plants and fungi. It also grows magic fruit, which appear in the form of silver apples. Personality: As of yet, Ollphéist has shown no strong personality traits. It has shown hints of a manipulative nature, and also the desire to work with humans to benefit itself. Ollphéist has also shown to try and not cause fights and death when possible; this stems from its desire to keep the balance of life in check. Those that oppose him after he has offered mercy to them are considered enemies and hunted down. Ollphéist is very adamant when it comes to deals and promises; it will hold its side of the deal, and if the other party doesn't, they will know of Ollphéist's anger. The deity never raises its voice, and keeps a neutral tone when talking. Breach Zone: Ollphéist first appeared in Dinas Emrys, which is located in Cymru (Wales). Domain: Life. Prophet: Ollphéist’s prophet is Diarmuid Ó Hifearnáin, who is an unemployed farmer’s son. Diarmuid was contacted by Ollphéist, and ordered to plant a tree for it, in return for knowledge and a purpose in life. When the tree grew, Diarmuid was branded a witch and cut into pieces. Diarmuid was then recreated by Ollphéist, and turned into the Iron Druid, host of Ollphéist. Diarmuid is characterised by his boar shaped helmet and lichen-like clothing. Followers: Ollphéist currently has 10,000 followers, who all come from villages near Dinas Emrys. Influence: Ollphéist has asked to be worshiped by talking to the boar oak, eating his fruit and sacrificing livestock to it. Ollphéist controls little land, consisting of the village its tree is in, a few other villages, and the surrounding forests. However, its control of these forests isn’t certain. Ollphéist doesn’t use buildings of worship, as worship is mainly done outside where its followers can see nature. Miracles: Ollphéist can control trees, making them come alive and serve it. It could also raise Diarmuid from the dead, but he was raised with wood for skin and a mental connection to Ollphéist. Ollphéist has the loyalty of forest animals, but they will leave it if it puts them in a death-inducing situation. It has recently gained the power to create life.... of a sort. Allies: Ollphéist is allied with the Barrow Kings, and is on good terms with the giants and the Ritual. Enemies: Ollphéist has no direct enemies. Key events: Creation: Ollphéist came to Diarmuid and had the boar oak planted. Raising the Barrow Kings Edited by Jabberwocky, Aug 22 2014, 08:06 PM.

All of my titles are based off of things that have happened in game, or things that I do, but I don't think anyone has used them in game. |

Hmm...in that case, I think they should be ok. I just don't want players choosing titles based on things that they are planning to do, and not things that they have let them earn their titles. |

Thoumm The Lucky, Brother of the Five, Shepherd of the Clouds, Bringer of Rain, First spoken against Tiamat, Tamer of the desert, God of the People Description: Thoumm normally appears as a tall young man clad in a white tunic with multicolored butterfly wings sprouting out of his back. He’s commonly seen carrying a sling, ram’s knucklebones, and a shepherds crook. Personality: Most of the time, Thoumm is kind, humorous, and easy going. He enjoys the simple things in life, such as good food, stories, and games. However, if you kill his followers, his anger will turn into a raging thunderstorm, and he will do everything in his power to destroy you. Breach Zone: Thoumm first appeared to a small farm house in the countryside around Phokea. Domain: Thoumm’s main domain is luck and the weather. He can send a gentle rain cloud or a thunderstorm your way. He’s also a fertility god, and crops flourish when he passes by. Prophet: Thoumm’s first prophet was a farmer in the countryside around Phokea. After spreading his worship around in the nearby areas, he passed the title onto a 16 year old boy who took up the name Theophilos and has been his prophet ever since. Theophilos has several powers of his own. Like his god, the land blooms at his feet, and he is one of the worlds best (mortal) players of the lyre. One day in the desert, Dakephithia tried to have him assassinated, but he survived. Because he was so loved, Dakephithia's followers turned on her and deprived her of worship, killing her. Although he was blinded, that’s just left him even closer the the Noumenal. Followers: As of Turn RECENT, Thoumm shares 1,950,000 followers with his three brothers. Worship of Thoumm is simple, usually being a quick prayer, and some burnt food at meal times. Influence: Although Thoumm is worshiped in all the lands of the Five, his main worshipers are in Egypt. Thoumm does have some temples in Crete and the larger cities, but in the countryside and such, most people just dedicate the hearth of their home to Thoumm. Miracles: Thoumm’s miracles include weather control, magic rains, prophecies, plant growth, magic butterflies, and apparently heal fatal wounds with shear luck. Aside from the normal human populace, the former horde of Set now follows me. Allies: Thoumm is one of the brothers of the Kidemonon Athanatoi. The Kidemonon Athanatoi are allies with the non-treacherous Egyptian gods, Thoth and Sobek, and Hades, Vulcan, Mercury and Ceres. Enemies: The Prota, Jupiter, Neptune, Mars, Venus, Juno, the black god Czernoborg, and horrible scary eldritch black pharaoh things. The Kidemonon Athanatoi (and allies) have defeated Set, Tiamat, accidentally killed Dekephithia. Key events: Battle and loss of Phokea, war against Set, assassination attempt on Theophilos, Tiamat’s attack on Crete. |
