I thought that it would be a good idea to have a thread where people can show their deities to new players and old players alike. Here, players are encouraged to give information about their deities. Don't worry- anything you don't want people to know about (such as secret moves) doesn't have to be included. These profiles would be updated after every update by Dial, so that they are kept up-to-date and don't make you god out to be any better/worse than they already are. Below I have made a rough template for how profiles could be structured. I shall probably upload a profile of my deity today if I have the time. [big][big]Deity Name[/big][/big] [big]Deity's titles- only ones used in game, please.[/big] Picture if you have one Description: This is for your deity's chosen physical forms, forms in dreams/illusions, and any other forms it has appeared in in the past. It would be useful to include gender here if it applies. Personality: What can we expect your deity to act like? Breach Zone: Where did your deity first appear? Domain: What domains does your deity have an influence over? You can go into detail here if there are specifics. Prophet: Who is/was your prophet? How did they hear of you? Where are they now? Followers: How many followers do you have? Who does your deity gain worship from? How do they worship you? Influence: Where does your deity get worshiped? How much land do you control? Do you have temples or cathedrals or statues in your honour? Miracles: Here is where things get longer. What can your deity do that makes them a deity? What minions obey them? What weapons are at their disposal? Allies: Are you in a pantheon or allegiance? Is your deity friends with anyone/anything? Why/why not? Enemies: Do you have enemies? Why are they your opponents? Have you defeated any opponents in the past? Key events: What events have shaped your deity's history? e.g. wars, alliances, mistakes, pacts, military decisions, changes in worship, miracles etc. EDIT: Edited to nocode to enable copy-paste - Holben Edited by Jabberwocky, Jun 30 2014, 08:42 AM.

Femercine Description: Femercine consistently takes the form of a beautiful woman in dreams, visions, and in illusions of appearance (she does not have a physical form). Her skin is tanned, she has long red hair and red lips. Personality: Femercine acts fairly flirtatiously and has a simple principle, be kind and accept her gifts and you will be blessed. If her gifts are denied or if cruelty is shown to her followers she becomes enraged and will punish the guilty in a harsh manner. She has a strange bias for humans and tries to treat them humanely (unless she is truly angry) while she doesn't give a damn about treating gods, spirits or other non-humans with care. She doesn't really care about being bowed at or given other signs of respect since she expects it to be shown from listening to her ideals. Breach Zone:Femercine first appeared in Rhodes, a small island south west of the Greek peninsula. Domain: Pleasure, not just in satisfying lust but in satisfying hunger and other longings. Prophet: Narkissa, a prostitute in Rhodes who was saved from death by the first sacrifice to Femercine. Miracles: Femercine has the ability to make women very beautiful. She can seduce almost any mortal man and some gods. During the first miracle Femercine performed the blood of a violent client of Narkissa was used to heal and bring beauty to Narkissa. She can create blood wolves using a ritual that involves her own blood, a blood wolves are Near in power to most demigods. She has on a few occasions performed rites with her own blood in order to create things. Allies: Femercine is a member of the Prota pantheon and is therefore allied with it's members and all who kneel to it. Enemies: All Roman gods and people. Has a special hatred for Cicero. Orubashi The Daemon of the East, the Blue Lord Spoiler: click to toggle Description: Orubashi does not have a mortal body, for various reasons, though he does have a chosen and solid identity in the Noumenal, which he has wrought out of the suffering and passion of his followers. He uses this form to communicate with other gods in the Noumenal and with mortals through dreams and visions. His body takes the form of a naked, skinny but wiry and strong man, of indeterminate age, with deep dark blue skin. Across his skin points of lights, like stars and embers, chase themselves over his body. Six arms emerge from his torso. Two of them carry the tools of judgement: the scythe and the war hammer; prosperity and violence. Two others extend in signs of peace and meditation, while the last two are folded across his chest in both a stance of defiance and unity against the threats of the Prota. But his most characteristic feature is his head. Not human, but of an owl, specifically a barn owl. Red eyes glower out from his feathered face, filled with a passionate violence but also with love, fatherhood and ambition. He bears a black halo with three orbs representing the Prota Gennethei Rising up from his back are two phantasmal wings that glow above his body, spreading wide. They represent his divinity and his right over the skies. But he did not always look like this. At his birth he was simply a fiery cloud of ash and smoke, which over time took more and more human form, drawing in the darkness around him, until eventually Orubashi as he is strode forth from his embryonic cloud of beginning. Personality: Born from the chaos and fury of the warrior, Orubashi is, and will remain, a creature of violence. He has a deep distrust for other authorities and denies respect to those he deems "spirits", though rare alliances can occur, and can be vengeful and determined. Although highly violent he generally encompasses all extreme emotions, and thus is also very loyal to his Brothers the Kai and Thekasios, and also to his allies, and rewarding to those who please him. It is in these extremes his true identity lies, the extremes, and so it also connects with his belonging in the skies. He has a love of owls and birds in general. Breach Zone: In the Phrygia highlands, where today his most fanatic of followers still remain. Domain: The traditional role of Orubashi among the Prota Gennethei is that of inheritor of the skies, but his true nature leads us into the depths of the night, lighted by the inferno. Fire, the light of Mankind, the force of destruction and all consuming flames of fury churn the ever turning engines of human souls of the Family. The Night, endless, into which mortals and gods alike are drowned in its inky blackness, but where there is still the infinitely complex and beautiful networking of stars and planets and comets. The burning fuel of humanity and the cosmic infinite of divinity. Owls, being so at home both in the night and in the sky, are the chosen animal of this god, though other birds are now joining sides with the entity. Also, the place being the birthplace of the god, Orubashi has chosen the people of Anatolia to spread his Word, and the people of the Heartlands shall always be the favoured ones. Prophet: Damjan was a lowly, even cowardly, Phrygian soldier, conscripted to fight against Greek invaders. An arrow grazed him and he used this as an excuse to miss the battle. But in his rest, Orubashi approached him and told him to rise, as victory would be ensured, in return for his free will. The very essence of Orubashi penetrated Damjan's spirit, granting him incredible powers of the body. He led a band of followers, an group of 30 soldiers who would later become the Originals, until they amassed a group of desperate Phrygian followers. After a series of events he found himself in control of Troy, which became his new home. Though now aged he is still stronger than any man, and can split marble blocks in two, and deal unimaginable violence upon his foes. If needed his voice can carry on the wind like an orchestra of trumpets. His wife is the Prophet of Kai. From the holy union two children were born. One went east with him, while the other stayed in Greece. Followers: The total number of followers of the Prota Gennethei is around four million and a half souls. Influence: As the followers of the Prota intermingle, Orubashi's worship spreads from Rome to Thebes to Persia. But the land that Orubashi directly controls is considerable smaller, and is called the Heartland. It consists of Anatolia, the coasts of the Straits, Georgia (which is populated by settlements of Thracian refugees, little contact has been made with the natives) and Cyprus. Most of worship power goes to Troy, as that is the resting place of the Monolith. There a complex temple complex spans over the area, as well as several monuments. On Cyprus a great Fortress-Palace exists, which is dedicated to Orubashi. Apart from that there is no common temple or houses of worship. Prayer is the main force of worship in the Heartlands, be it personal or en masse. Prayer beads and charms of all kinds exist too. In backwater areas shrines are popular. Human sacrifice used to be very common during the period in which Orubashi still strived to unite Anatolia, though now is reserved for important ceremonies and events. Miracles: Ill fill this in later Servants: -The Servant -Bronze Men -The Originals -Moon Owls -___ Hawk -____ Crow Allies: Orubashi is one of the Prota Gennethei, the other two being the Kai and Thekasios. Gods who are generally friendly or somewhat allied with these are Kalichara, Nabirye and to an extant Fermacine. Enemies: The Prota Gennethei's main rivals are the Five. Orubashi came to arms against them once when the Five still had control of Phokea. Orubashi in the True War (his unification of Anatolia) declared war against the Five after a series of short, intense and ultimately failed agreements. The Five backed down and retreated from Phokea after a magic based siege, and the Hand stormed in through a secret tunnel, demanding immediate surrender from the authorities, which was granted. Shortly after war broke out between Eirene and Orubashi. While the Hand was traveling through Thrace, Monster Passover occurred and most of the frontal contingent were slaughtered. This assault was used as an excuse to completely occupy Thrace. But despite most of the populace turning out to be eager converts, this land was held on for only a short time. Despite the preparations made, Eirene's disciplined and better armed army started slowly pushing the Hand back. After two disasters occurring almost simultaneously: the failure of a huge counter attack and the treachery of Darius, Orubashi secretly made peace with Eirene and handed over nearly all of Thrace, including former possessions, leaving only the coasts of the Marmara. A propaganda cover up though made the defeat seem like a victory, and the distraction of the looming Persian empire kept the public quiet. The main phase of the True War thus begins against Darius, which lasts several years. The Hand though is both numerically superior and more organized. Along with the help of supernatural elements, Darius is finally captured in Ankara and killed, thus forming the Heartlands. But war is never over for Orubashi, and soon after, Vulcan declares war upon the Heartlands. Orubashi has dug in and awaits for whatever could come over the horizon. Key events: -The Revelation to Damjan -The Valley of the Shadow of Death -The Reincarnation of the Lover, Judge of the Dead. -The Grand Unveiling and the Monolith falling to Earth. -Conversion of Troy. -Birth of the Servant. -Taking of Phokea. -Creation of the Prota Gennethei -Thracian War. -True War. -Aegean Deity Crisis. -Death of Epithus, Destruction of Pylos -Capture of Ankara. -Destruction of Skyforge, War with Vulcan. -Forging of the Heartlands. the Grinding Description: Little is currently known about this deity. It does however seem to correlate with a large amorphous mass of metallic gears and cogs, the make of which is indiscernible but ornate, interwoven with flesh and sinew, which grows when given sacrifices. Personality: The Grinding cannot speak by itself, but it can communicate its will through visions, it's creations, and by forcing pain onto its followers. It currently seems focused on attaining sacrifices, ranging from child play things to humans, as a means of growing in size physically. From its visions, and the messages from the First Singer, we can interpret that it seems bent on uniting the world under ambiguously defined perfection. The being certainly seems terrifying, but we can only speculate what its true intentions are. However, it has recently been determined that the Grinding considers children the closest that humans can come to being perfect. From this it might be discernable that the Grinding considers Perfection the absence of perceived fault, both in mentality and in physical state. Breach Zone: An unspecified village deep within the Alps. Domain: The Grinding's domains have been unspecified as of yet. It does however seem to have an affinity towards anything clockwork, manipulative music, control, and unification. Prophet: The Grinding originally made itself known to an individual known only as the Victim of Flesh. However, shortly after the Grinding became known to the village, it killed the Victim by forcing them to walk into the Grinding's mass, to make an example of what would happen to those who did not do its will. Shortly after it created the First Singer, which it used to convey some of its teachings. The Grinding has also used Brennus, who was once the chief of his tribe, as a means to spread its influence. Followers: The Grinding currently has four-thousand followers. Its method of worship has so far consisted of enacting constant fear in its followers, and also forcing a sacrifice from them twice a day. Influence: Currently the Grinding controls several villages in the Alps, some of which house the grind-masses where its followers feed it sacrifices. Miracles: Currently the Grinding has the ability to reshape human and animal sacrifices to suit its needs, such as to make the singers. The singers are directly under the Grinding's control, and can produce a song to manipulate the minds of humans. The Grinding has als created several tools, such as many toothed axes that cut through trees and tools that automatically dig wells, to do its will. Allies: The Grinding has not yet encountered other deities. Enemies: The Grinding has not yet encountered other deities Key events: Revelation to the Victim of Flesh - The Grinding appeared in this world. Birth of the Grind-Mother - Showed that to deny a gift from the Grinding was an insult to it. Death of the Once-Defiant - Showed how the Grinding expected its influence to spread if resistance was put up. Edited by Oyster Man, Aug 3 2014, 04:57 PM.

I've noticed that Baal is like the evil Counterpart of Terron. Both are gods of luxury and riches who hole themselves up within a heavily fortified area, and both seem to use clouds in some way. |
