1. We encourage a professional tone be maintained on the forums at all times (aside from OOC and Off Topic forums). This means that you will address others with a sense of propriety, a lack of pettiness or insult, and an understanding that no one is off limits to critique. 2. Staff decisions are unilateral and maintained. Yes, you can challenge a staff decision. We do, however, require that all challenges to staff decisions and site policy are placed in the proper subforum, through the proper channels. Approaches to staff members outside of proper channels will be redirected, and continued attempts will be reprimanded. 3. Do not misappropriate any sort of creative property, be it an image, a passage of writing, or an idea, without proper permission and credit given. Exceptions are given if the original author is very difficult to reach. 4. Advertisements to other roleplays are only acceptable within their own forum, and within the signatures of users. 5. Do not link to or post any material that would violate Zetaboards Terms of Service. 6. Report violations of the rules. If you wish to remain anonymous, do so by a PM to the administration. This includes violations of the rules by bots, often visible by strange links to advertised products. If you suspect a topic is made by a bot, Staff will examine it when prompted. All reports must be PMs, reporting in a thread or in the shoutbox will merit reprimand. 7. Spamming is not permissible, aside from set sections in the OOC forum. (This can be edited later to say exactly where.) 8. Harassment of any kind, whether in PM, the shoutbox, or otherwise, will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with someone harassing you or with someone else, there are proper channels waiting to be used. Off-site harassment must be dealt with by the affected party, it is not our duty to manage things outside our jurisdiction. 9. All OOC accounts will be required to create a character on the website within two months of registration. Failure to do so makes an account liable to be terminated. If, on the other hand, one primarily writes lore pieces, that will be taken into account. In general, however, we wish some contribution from our members, be it in roleplay or lore-work/critique. |
