Alt Name: Viggo Hinrikson Character Name: Viggo Hinrikson Alias: Anode Allignment: Evil Gender: Male Age: 25 Apparent Age: 26 Height: 5'11'' Weight: 178 lbs Ethnicity: Icelander Orientation: Straight Spoken Language: English, Icelandic (Not Fluent) Appearance: Long, platinum blonde hair doesn't quite hide gaunt features. Eyes appear to be somewhat sunken, possibly due to malnutrition as a result of an impoverished lifestyle, and the mouth below is thin and unsmiling. Cheeks are both slightly pockmarked, and a small wedge is missing from his right ear. Though dressed in the standard outfit for prisoners at Eastland Penetentiary as a result of his imprisonment, preferred outfit is a simple combination of a black tanktop and jeans. Weapon(s): None Powers: Electrokinesis - The ability to generate and manipulate electric fields Power Origin: After suffering a serious heart attack at the relatively young age of 23, Viggo had a pacemaker installed to safeguard against further injury to his heart. A year later, while working with a low-pay work crew on a damaged transformer, the pole that Viggo had climbed was struck by lightning. Somehow, this supercharged his pacemaker and fused the device to his cardiac tissue, essentially turning his heart into a biological dynamo. With each beat, his heart generates an enormous amount of electrical energy to be stored inside his body, now a living battery. The faster the heart beats, the greater the charge that builds and the more often the energy will need to be discharged. History: Born to a poor, third-generation American family, Viggo's parents encouraged his interest in circuitry, which they hoped would lead to a successful career and the money to lift the family out of poverty. Viggo struggled in school, however, finding it difficult to pay attention and learn without achieving any tangible results. Eventually, Viggo found himself working as a rather lowly electrician, barely making the money to support himself, let alone his aging mother and father. To make matters worse, what may have been the most promising - though not the most glorious - level of job security Viggo had ever known was ripped away by a sudden and serious heart attack when he was only 23. After having a pacemaker installed and spending several weeks recovering from the incident, Viggo returned to work, but not two weeks later, the transformer he was working on was struck by lightning, throwing him from the pole he had climbed and once again putting him in the hospital for several weeks. When next Viggo was released and able to return to work, he found that he had been replaced by his employers. With little money and a growing sense of guilt over his failure to help support his family, he soon turned to a life of crime. Though not as lucrative as expected, Viggo's time as a small-time criminal eventually led to bigger and more daring heists, until finally, he slipped up. During one particular bank robbery, Viggo, accompanied by four other men, was holding a teller at gunpoint when suddenly, the entire building seemed to surge with electricity, and when the lights shattered overhead, Viggo mistakenly pulled the trigger, instantly killing the woman. Fearing the punishment for murder as opposed to armed robbery, Viggo's accomplices fled the scene, leaving him with no viable way to escape the police when they arrived. For his crimes, Viggo was given a life sentence at Eastland Penetentiary. Extra Notes: Viggo's heart has been transformed into a biological dynamo, and with each beat, a charge is generated and stored within his body, which acts as a living battery. The faster the heart beats, the greater the charge that it generates, requiring more frequent measures to discharge the growing levels of electricity. Viggo's control over the electrical energy generated by his body not only allows him to discharge it in single, powerful bolts and wider arrays, but also grants him the ability to hover in the air at a wide range of heights for extended periods of time via electrostatic levitation. Less beneficial is the effect that constant exposure to high levels of electricity has had on Viggo's neurons, effectively forcing him into mild insanity; he will frequently act irrationally and lash out for seemingly no reason.
