Alt Name: Trevor Siegler Character Name: Trevor Alan Siegler Alias: Mindtwist Allignment: Neutral Gender: Male Age: 12 Apparent Age: About 12 Height: 4'9" Weight: 100 Ethnicity: He's White/American. Orientation: Bisexual Spoken Language: English Appearance: Long brown curls descended down the light forehead of the small, mousy boy. A twister of blue, green, and grey colored his eyes, which almost never quite made contact with anybody elses', and a light smattering of freckles dotted his small nose. He dressed in normal clothes, but these were often hidden under a too-big, black hoodie. Weapon(s): He doesn't carry any weapons, though he probably should. Powers: Energy manipulation, pretty much another form of telekenesis. He can throw or pick up things without touching them, he can lift himself off of the ground and move around in something resembling flight, and create forcefields. Although he can do all of these things, for now, his ability to control them is sort of competent, at best. Power Origin: Very unwillingly. See below. History: Trevor was born to Sarah Livingstone and Nicolas Siegler in Emberhill, Colorado, a town noted for it's creepy atmosphere and overall strange happenings. Nicolas worked in the Southern Colorado Labs for the Advancement of Alternative Science, which got funding from unknown sources to further areas of science which got very, very little support from the scientific community, and as a result, often conducted experiments with its only mindset being "For science," and took very little care of it's subjects where people were involved. Nicolas worked as a physicist in the Kinetic Energy department, where he became increasingly enthralled with the notion of someone being able to control energy, and one day, he pointed this out to his wife, eventually admitting that he'd like his three year old boy to have these powers. As she stared at him confused, he asked if he could possibly bring Trevor into the labs where they could, safely of course, attempt to implement that ability using a device they had been working on for the purpose. Sarah adamantly refused, as Nicolas had expected, and immediately backed down with profuse apologies. Sarah accepted his apologies, but something didn't feel right to her, so she proceeded to bed as usual that night, but kept only her eyes closed, listening carefully to see if Nicolas would get up. Sure enough, she heard him climb out of bed an hour later, slip into the clothes thrown by his side of the bed, and leave the room. She lay frozen, until she heard the jingling of keys a few minutes later and the living room door close. She promptly slid out of bed and ran to Trevor's room down the hall. Sure enough, he was out of bed, and, still in her pajamas, ran to the front door, kicked her shoes on, and grabbed her car keys. As he was halfway down the street, she ran out of the house, jumped into her car, and took the shortest way she knew to his building so she could stop him before he got there. Sure enough, just as she got out of the car in front, Nicolas pulled into the staff parking lot around the back. She stormed over to him, angry as hell, as he carried her son in his arms. He looked surprised to see her, and took a step back. "Get your hands off of him! I told you, NO!" she snarled. "You don't understand, you never have! Its for science, and its my passion!" Nicolas said, and holding on dearly to his boy, elbowed her out of the way and ran towards the building. Just before she reached the door, Nicolas fumbled with the card around the lanyard on his neck, and swiped it. The door chimed and slid open, and he bolted in.... Long story short, she was able to keep up with him the entire way down the hall and through many doors. However, when he got to the testing room, he was able to lock her out. Hardly believing that this was going to happen, he strapped Trevor down onto a restraining board and set up the device, a large mechanical, adjustable thing with a hollow pole jutting out. He trained the pole down at his son and turned it on. A thin beam of light purple light emitted from the hole and began shining up and down on Trevor, who began crying. Sarah continued pounding at the door in anguish, but Nicolas paid her no attention. Behind him, the machine stopped, and Nicolas thought it must be done. He didn't notice the smoke coming from the back, and he approached Trevor, who began whimpering, scared of his father. Nicolas reached out a hand and found he could not make contact with his son, there seemed to be an invisible shield about ten inches in the way. The machine began smoking more, and then the world was rent apart by an explosion. The machine, too unstable, blew up, killing Nicolas first and Sarah second, as a large chunk of metal ripped through the door and slammed into her. Trevor, however, was protected by the success of the device. But all he was right then was scared, and he cried himself to sleep. The next morning, the scientists found him there. Afterwards, he was brought up by foster parents who were nice enough. But his shyness made the kids in the playground shun him or make fun of him, and he never really had friends. All he did was become more aware of his powers, and practice them sometimes, ALWAYS in secret. However, one morning he woke up, bewildered as hell, for he realized that he was in an unfamiliar room, and, by all looks of it, an unfamiliar town. Extra Notes: Well, his self esteem is minimal, which may have an impact on his powers. Sample Post: Trevor Siegler sat behind the small hill bordering the playground perimeter, lined with trees, hiding from the other kids as usual. They never paid attention to him at the best of times, and he was hoping that held true today as he concealed himself further. He turned his attention to a green ball that he'd snuck out of the ball rack near the doors. Setting it securely on his crossed lap, he held his hands around the side of it, quite far from the surface of the ball. He closed his eyes, and concentrated on making the ball lift and spin. After a few minutes, it did! Trevor was a little taken aback, because he had never tried two things at once, but it was working! Perhaps, if he practiced this enough, he would be able to chuck balls at the other kids, the ones that made him feel unwanted and... not there. He couldn't think of any other words to describe it, but -- Brrriiiiinnggggg The end of recess bell rang and startled him. The ball dropped onto his lap and rolled away. A little irate, but satisfied, Trevor rose from his spot, and ran to the school building to resume class. |
