Yūfukuna Hitomi was a former member of Kiri no Shinobigatana Shichinin Shū (Seven Swordsmen of the Mist) and for many years ushered in a younger generation into Kirigakure one of the Commanding Jounin. With permission and acceptance by the Mizukage at the time, Yūfukuna left the village, taking with him the Hiramekarei as a means of expressing his devotion to the village. Although never usually carrying it with him, Yūfukuna is known more throughout the Shinobi world as a businessman who devotes his time to supplying all the villages with weapons, coining the infamous phrase "War Makes money." Yūfukuna believes that war should be ongoing, and ever lasting, only with it could he turn a profit. Yūfukuna spends his time travelling through villages, and bartering prices for his supply of weaponry and supplies to the Shinobi world. Throughout five major lands, The Hitomi name is known for it's quality and price, and demand has never been higher.
Born to the Hitomi Family, known for it's lineage in arts and crafts, Yūfukuna was born within the borders of Mizu No Kuni and by his parents wish was sent to Kirigakure No Sato in order to become a Shinobi. Whilst studying under the watchful eye of the Kirigakure shinobi, Yūfukuna continued to craft his own weapons and smith his own armour each piece signifying a specific event or person. Having never formally graduated the academy, Yūfukuna got through life by selling his weapons and wares on the street protected by Shinobi due to the wonderful smithing of said weapons. In conjunction with his uncanny ability to sell his weapons and armour, Yūfukuna usually performed various demonstrations, usually in the force of dancing, of his weapons expressing the quality of the weapon or the lightweight nature of the armour. He was nicknamed the Smith of the Mist, as his name began to reach to the outer extremities of Mizu No Kuni. Villagers and Shinobi alike would flock to him bargaining for his wares, with little success. Yūfukuna was strict with his price, never budging which inevitably led to his encounter with the most recognised shinobi within Kirigakure No sato, the Mizukage. The very presence of the Mizukage within Yūfukuna's stall was enough to advertise his name throughout Mizu No Kuni, recognised as the greatest blacksmith in the region. The Mizukage asked Yūfukuna for a specific discount, or he would claim the weapon as his own. Much to the shock of the Mizukage, Yūfukuna raised the price double to which it normally was saying, "I don't make exceptions, especially for those with a necessity to use such a weapon."
Amidst the shock, the Mizukage applauded Yūfukuna for his courage, paying the spoken price whilst leaving the weapon there, much to the Mizukage's plan. Yūfukuna took it upon himself to deliver the weapon to him directly, entering the office, with the blade on back. Immediately noticing the increase in the amount of guards around the office, Yūfukuna questioned the Mizukage as to the occasion, little did he know all of this was in spite of the elevated price. The Mizukage ordered the Jounin in the room to slaughter Yūfukuna, only to be surprised by his exceptional use of the crafted blade, using the Mizukage's weapon to butcher those the Mizukage sent at him. With the office painted in blood, and garnished in the bodies of dead Shinobi, The Mizukage couldn't help but applaud the ruthlessness and great swordsmanship that Yūfukuna possessed. Keeping this in mind, the Mizukage labeled him as Yūfukuna Hitomi, Kiri no butchā (The Butcher of the Mist). With his new label garnishing an even greater reputation, Yūfukuna brought greater numbers of customers into his stall, before moving it to the upper class area of Kirigakure No sato.
Using his newly founded relationship with the Mizukage to his advantage, Yūfukuna was brought along to many assassination missions becoming even more adept at Kenjutsu (Way of the sword). Able to hone in on the chakra he had in order to manipulate the nature of the blade. Having a larger chakra pool then the ordinary Shinobi, Yūfukuna called upon his affiliation with both the Water and Wind elements in order to establish a greater connection to his swordsmanship. Years passed, and Yūfukuna was established as one of the members of Kiri no Shinobigatana Shichinin Shū. He chose the Hiramekarei to be his weapon, explaining to the Mizukage that "every other blade is poorly crafted," which appeared offensive to the Mizukage's pride he had over his Seven swordsman.
Yūfukuna continued his work as one of the seven swordsmen, and continued to usher in a greater generation into Kirigakure No Sato. At the age of forty Yūfukuna found himself at a crossroads. To choose the Shinobi Life and continue with what he thought as "senseless killing," or to stray and to once again become recognised for his craftsmanship. After pondering the decision with the Mizukage, and with his consent, Yūfukuna left Kirigakure No Jutsu and his Shinobi slate wiped clean, never existing within the records of Kirigakure no Sato. As a show of good faith, the Mizukage awarded him the Hiramekarei for his grand efforts and as a means of expressing his affiliation to the Mist.
Yūfukuna set off through the lands bearing the Hiramekarei in an effort to establish a business. It was not until he entered the only Dock in Hi No Kuni was he filled with excitement, a rush he has never felt since the first time his vendor days back when he was young. Establishing roots Just outside the docking yard of Hi No Kuni, Yūfukuna began work as a blacksmith, working for one of the few vendors which were open near the border. The vendor was known as "Leaf Fine goods to me!" much to the disgust of Yūfukuna due to the use of bad puns. Here, he worked for one year until recognised by a wealthy businessman who had only just travelled from Mizu No Kuni. The wealthy businessman, Known as Kyukidan, offered Yūfukuna some money in exchange for quality goods, with an initial payment which would allow him to open his own shop. Without hesitation, he accepted and left the vendor he had worked in, only to open another across the road. Yūfukuna ran his shop known as "Hitomi Buki to shōkōhin" (Hitomi Weapon and Supplies), which began to pick up a bit of revenue once Konohagakure had firmly established it's roots. Kyukidan, much to Yūfukuna's displeasure, constantly extorted him claiming it to be the right thing to do, threatening Yūfukuna with actions of vandalism and if it continued, death.
Yūfukuna, not wanting to make much of a fuss, payed Kyukidan the weekly sum which ended up to be most of his wage. Fed up with the nonsense imposed upon him, Yūfukuna arranged a meeting on Kyukidan's vessel, bringing with him the Hiramekarei, which had had not held in such a long time. Yūfukuna boarded the trade vessel in silence, before massacring the crew leaving Kyukidan alone. A cut was inflicted onto Kyukidan's body for every ryo he took from him. For two days they were out at sea, Yūfukuna inflicting small cuts onto Kyukidan's body until he eventually gave out, his blood painted across the ship.
Having the store to himself, Yūfukuna expanded his territory and continued buying property closer and closer to Konohagakure No Sato, explaining to investors that The Hitomi Weapon and supplies Business has yet to blossom into the great business he expects it too. Many years passed and Yūfukuna has an entire enterprise of weaponry production and supplies, his franchise known throguhout Hi no Kuni as well as the other villages. Using his reputation as one of the fairest and greatest blacksmiths in the known world, Yūfukuna wishes to expand his customer list, offering bulk deals to Konohagakure and other villages simply coining the phrase, "Where there is war, Money."
His dream is to soon conquer the weaponry trade, 'eliminating' the competition of blacksmiths all over the known shinobi world. In spite of his somewhat placid nature Yūfukuna encourages war and fighting, known that this will only increase revenue. He spends most of his time now travelling through villages, his most recent venture causing him to reside in Konoha on a business trip. Many do not know of his Shinobi Heritage, keeping his Hiramekarei at his home locked away in a safe containing forty-seven padlocks, six cylinder locks, two deadlocks, an electronic lock and a "beware of the dog" sign posted in front of it.
Wherever he resides, he vows that he will protect that specific place, claiming it to be in the "name of business."
Jae, I think Frankie has earned an A-Rank character, plus he's going to be the main antagonist, he shouldn't really start on a D-Ranked character. That's why he's accepted.
