| Welcome to Aurala Magic Academy. We hope you enjoy your visit. Aurala Magic Academy is one of the newer schools of witchcraft and wizardry, and thus have not collected a lot of renown or respect from the surrounding wizarding countries. Placed in the small country of Denmark in the centre of Scandinavia, many have not even heard of it, despite the wizards there usually being very talented. Aurala draws many similarities to Hogwarts, a wizarding school of the Great Britain, possibly inspired by the older school. Like Hogwarts, Aurala has four houses, each represented by an animal, anmed Kruckow(Stag), Koldings(Fox), Spliid(Swan) and Palles(Squirrel). These houses compete for the prestigious House Cup at the end of the year, as well as the school's Quidditch cup. The academy was founded by several witches and wizards during the late middle ages, to support the growing number of wizards and witches existing within Denmark. The school itself is a giant underground “castle”, with several known entrances across the country. The only part of the academy that is above ground is the school's Quidditch stadium, and a few old buildings for classes that cannot be taken properly underground, and the Kruckow House. These parts are surrounded by large forests filled with magic to keep muggles out. A little about the school:

Username: Kawiie Points: 0/0 Kasper Sørensen "Hugs are like boomerangs, you get them back right away!" General Information Age: Sixteen Birthday: 2nd of April Gender: Male Height: 5'11” (180cm) Weight: 144lb (65kg) Hair: Black in colour, medium length, with long bangs that usually covers his eye. Eyes: Brown Physical Features: Kapser can be described with one word: Lanky. However, if you have to get a more descriptive version, Kasper is relatively tall and thin, though he is not dangerously underweight. Clothing/Accessories: Kasper prefers dark, plain clothes, and is usually seen wearing black. When he, in the rare case, do wear colour, it is usually red, his favourite. His most common outfit is a black button-up shirt, with matching jeans and a pair of black and white sneakers. Kasper does not care for accessories, as he feels they are “of no use”. Personality: Kasper is a complex character, at one moment a carefree jester, the other a moody emotional wreck. When delved into the "good" side of his personality, Kasper comes off as a patient young man, with cunning and curiosity, as is common for the students of the Koldings house, though the Sorting hat did consider putting him on Palles, due to his playful nature and tendencies to be a bit of an oddball. Very protective of his friends, he has a habit of putting others before him, which sometimes lead to him entering the darker side of his personality, when the stress of carrying another's feelings overwhelm him. Ambitious, while not showing it, the boy has dreams of becoming a powerful wizard, both as a duelling master and Quidditch player, while at the same time working on becoming a novelist, a year long dream from before he entered the wizarding world. Possesions Magical Knowledge Charms Transfigurations Jinxes Hexes Curses Healing Spells Potions History Born to Peter Sørensen and Ghita Holmstrøm one spring morning, Kasper was the youngest of five; a sister, two half-sisters, and a half-brother. He lived a life of constant strife, as he found himself not fitting in with the other children, feeling alienated and “different”. At the dawn of one summer morning, during his fourteenth year of living, he received a letter from an unknown sender. Upon opening it, he found that he was a wizard, though he quickly dismissed it as a bad joke. However, soon, a man dressed in odd robes turned up at his doorstep. He was a representative of the “academy” of Aurala, the sender of the letter he had received earlier. At first, the boy felt annoyed for this joke to have gotten this far, and demanded that the man explained himself, though instead of explaining a joke, the man brought out a wand and conjured a flock of magical birds. Stunned, the boy looked at the birds, and the man was eventually welcomed into the house to explain the situation. Everyone listened in close as the man explained that Kasper was a wizard, a rare form of human, who was able to perform feats called “magic. Turning to Kasper, he asked a few questions about how it was to be him, and if he had ever had “strange things” happen around him, that he could not explain. Eventually, the family came to except the truth; that Kasper was a wizard. Handing his parents the exact same type of letter he had received days before, they read it, and agreed that it would be the right thing to send Kasper to a magic school. Kasper did not have any friends, in fact, the only thing he seemed to have in his muggle school was enemies, so maybe getting to a place with others like him, he would find friends. Also, it was best that the boy learned to control his powers, rather than let them run wild. Kasper and his parents were then led to the wizarding city of Fergal, the only true wizarding sanctuary in Denmark, apart from Aurala. Here, they bought the schoolbooks he would need for his first year at Aurala, as well as other things, for example his wand. His wand in particular was hard to find. The wandmaker they had visited tried many different wands, but it was not until the boy took hold of an Ebony wand that he found his match. From that day on, the boy looked forward to a new life, even though he was nervous about starting at a boarding school, as he was, for good reason, not used to living outside of his home. When it was time to start at the school, the representative came once more to help him enter the school. Once there, he was surprised of how different this world was. Wands, robes, cauldrons. It was all so strange and foreign, yet he felt more at home here than he had been any other place. While he did not gain very many close friends, he did not find anyone truly hostile either, and the boy was satisfied with how things were, as he was used to being alone. However, on his second year, he met Carin Schmidt, a first year at the time, who he grew close to quickly, despite their differences. |
