Stats General Str = Attack power. How much damage you do for attacks. In combat, you do half your Str in damage. (eg. 60 Str hits for 30 dmg. IF you have an odd number, round DOWN) Once HP drops below 0, player characters become incapacitated, and creatures die. Players have a small window where someone may heal them if they are incapacitated. If an encounter ends and you are incapacitated, then the player dies. Everything can die except OOC characters. MP could be anything ability related, either to execute a combo slash or cast a spell. MP can be restored after a full 'day' of rest. PM me or Heion if you wish to add a skill/ability to your character. Ability creations deduct XP and use up MP as determined by a mod. Dex is used for dodging and skill related abilities, such as Climb, Jump, Pick Lock etc. If you feel something deserves a Dex check, just wait there in your post for a mod to come let you know what Dex you need to succeed. (Based on difficulty) If a players Dex level exceeds the level required for the skill execution (for instance, difficulty of lock, length of jump, how hard a climb is) then they succeed. If lower, then they fail. For Dodging, sorta same thing, if the players Dex exceeds the attackers Str, then the damage taken is reduced by 1/2. No dice rolls, yet, may come in future. Cont score = HP amount. Stat Startout- For OOC-only: 700 points that never change. 4 free abilities, 2 free weapons. Deduct 50 xp for each additional ability and weapon. For Cannon: Start with 300 points, PM me or Heion for up to 5 free abilites, 50 XP deduction for each additional ability. For Original: Start with 300 points, subtract 40 for each ability. 50 for each weapon. 2 free abilities and one free weapon at start. Abilities You can come up with your own abilities/spells. For example, you can create a Power Slash that does +5 dmg or a Fire spell that does +10 dmg + Str mod with 50% to set enemies aflame. Be imaginative, just PM the ability with stats to me or Heion for approval. (until Death gets back up) Character Sheet After each post in New Challengers, OOC members, and Cannons, mods will make a skill sheet displaying that characters stats, weapons, and abilities. PM Bortch with how you want your stats distributed, what abilities, and what weapons. He will make it for you. Try not to post after your approval on your character sheet for easy reference. RP Combat Whenever you enter combat (any combat post), display your HP and MP at the start of each psot so we can keep track of it and make it easier for readers. You can heal HP with one FULL days rest and MP the same way. Getting Started For those who have completed topics already, get your starting stats done first, then we will add the awarded XP and move from there. Weapons strike for your dmg score, unless buffed by a spell. When you earn XP, ask Bortch to add your new stats to the appointed areas/abilities.You can store XP and save up, just tell the mod you are PMing the details to save 'X' amount of XP. Damage refers to how much HP is deducted, so a str + dmg ability means take half your str score, add the damage boost, and thats how much HP is deducted. (Not taking in the Dex deductions) ~someguy 2.0 |
