Well our skating trip had some bumps. It was super crowded for one. A hockey player showing off shoved into pj (youth pastor) causing him to fall and slice his head. Me and Kenny and my sister had to take him to the hospital. He has a mild concusion, 3 stitches, and a sprained wrist that may be broken... the dr wanted a second opinion from the radiologist. We are thinking of renting out the rink for us and a few other church youth groups and hoping for a better time. It's too hard learning how to skate with all the pushing and shoving. Also I have weak ankles so I got tired really easily. Otherwise it was a good time to enjoy being out. I don't get out much so I always enjoy when I do. Sunday is the children's play that I've been helping with. Then the evening is the youth group Christmas party. After Christmas we are going to go see Christmas lights somewhere. https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/v/l/t1.0-9/12376472_682569519789_4150879285648891499_n.jpg?oh=8269ab0b25a54b909a80eeb0ecf62042&oe=570A5510 (picture of pj's eye) So pj came over the other week and brought pizza and wings. I ate a slice of pizza, 6 wings, a bowl of ice cream was still midly hungry but it was wonderful. https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xlt1/v/t1.0-9/12341238_10153288924278519_4402401764571519787_n.jpg?oh=020512358077cda3ca0e0dda207b21bb&oe=571B9EB3 (food coma) Also I got some great news. Cole's eye are the best ever. He got some new glasses and says he can see the best he has in his whole entire life. He cried about everything. Also Cole has a gf ( he's on gf number like 10 I think) and I'm not quite sure how I feel about him growing up. Oh! I almost forgot congrats Suzuchan. I didn't realize the wedding was so soon. Thanks Luke <3 Today was Ryan's birthday, we made him a cupcake-cake (cupcakes arranged and frosted to look like a snowman). I helped bake the cupcakes. My wedding dress came today, it's a bit too long so my mom is fixing it but it won't take long. My fiance's suit was ready too and he looks really good in it. We have a justice of the peace, all relevant parties know the date and time and we have reservations at a restaurant, so all systems are go. Almost midnight here so in about ten minutes, that leaves just one more day to wait. I'm so excited. Dylly, I'm working on a reply to your PM but things are hectic. There's several things I wanna do in the lounge too but I don't wanna get halfway through fixing things and then have to go do something and leave them half-done. We're expecting visitors for Christmas too. I might have to hide in a closet to get some peace. Oh well, the holidays should be interesting. |

One of the problems with being so tired is it makes my lack of memory worse than usual, causing me to do things like lose something the instant I set it down and forgetting to click post for the reply I wrote to Luke. That's why showing off on ice isn't a good idea. Church skating parties are not necessarily safer though. I went to one with a near fundamentalist church I was attending (not as a member) and when a few of us stopped to talk, a dear friend came over to join us but misjudged a little and skated into my skate taking my feet from under me. You know how sound carries in an arena, and echoes and reverberates and goes on forever? Well I went straight down on my tailbone and bellowed S H I T ! ! ! I could have said worse and am glad I didn't but I don't think anyone there knew there are worse words you can say. The whole arena stopped for a moment. I hope pj's wrist isn't broken. That is good news about Cole. I've sometimes had to keep prescriptions far too long and had similar experiences so I know what it is like to suddenly see much better but it must be truly amazing in his situation. That is cutting it a little close on the wedding dress, isn't it? Happy birthday to Ryan. It is good to hear that things seem to be falling into place. Excited is fine, just don't get pregnant! Lounge News This may not be the best timing but you know how none of you knew there was a virtual version of the B.L. in Second Life? We got news the first of this month that the mall where it is located has been sold and we have to be gone at the end of the month. Just when I was planning to announce it here and have it open officially. We have a kids version of the B.L. we can use for now and I have been looking for new land. I will start a topic for this to bring members up to date and see if there is any discussion or interest. I can't help it, I have to share this and not because I don't believe in lying to kids about Santa Clause. I will tell kids about St. Nicholas, but not Santa Clause. I would rather tell them about Krampus. Regardless, here we go: http://www.scarymommy.com/lies-parents-tell-other-than-santa/?utm_content=buffer17be9&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer Edited by Geezer, Dec 23 2015, 01:51 AM.

Sounds very Christmassy Jordan. Congratulations Alora, may you and your husband be as happy as you both plan to be. Marriage is not easy but as long as you both are committed to your marriage and your happiness it is much more possible than the statistics would have you believe. |

Congratulations Suzu and your husband, I hope you'll both be best of friends forever. Marriage is not easy. Think of love as unconditional. Avoid phrases, such as, "If you love me, you will ..." Never say hurtful words, because they can't be taken back. Jordan, It's warm here too - 70 degrees for Christmas a record. Unbelievable. Zonkers and Geezer, I hope you have a nice get together for Christmas. I wish you both the very best. Merry Christmas to all!

I hope you enjoyed a good first day of married life Alora. I promise to be at my social best tomorrow Dale. You really have to tell us these things so we can worry about you Jordan. We should hit 100,000 page views for the lounge Christmas Day. Only 126 page views to go as of this writing. |

Happy Birthday Jordan. I had a nice quiet Christmas. I am now battling another sinus infection. Stupid immune system. I've been watching a lot of movies lately. They seem to be easier then books at this precise moment. I'm still building up my concentration and such. So everyone should give me movie suggestions. |

Happy Birthday Jordan As a rule I prefer books to movies but movies are good and sometimes they are just fun. Sometimes when I'm very tired I just want television; something I can watch without having to think much. Two impossible to find are "Jack of Diamonds" and a movie I could never find the name of about an erotic artist named Blue. An almost impossible to find movie, from Italy I believe, is "Il Poste" All are from the mid-eighties except there can be some confusion with Il Poste. It seems I watched Il Poste in the eighties but have seen it since under another name. According to Wikipedia, a remake called "Il Postino" was made in 1994, I enjoyed both versions but would love to see the original again to better compare them. The animated series "Redwall" is excellent if you can find it in a collection. You may enjoy "The Secret Policeman's Other Ball," I think it was the second movie I found the better. The classics: "Dark Crystal", "Labyrinth" and "The Neverending Story." If you want to try something completely different (I am guessing) try to find "Le Mans." This movie was different even for it's genre. A second choice with a more conventional storyline would be "Grand Prix" (1966). Speaking of James Garner, if you want to laugh, I strongly recommend "Victor Victoria." By the way, has anyone noticed that the B. L. Lounge now has had over 100,000 page views? |
