Blame iCal for spilling it prematurely. Because of Lisa and now Siri (sp?) I always assumed Apple OS were female but now I'm suspecting the new OS is male. ((it's amazing what you learn if you talk with women and actually listen to them)) I just noticed the correct date 20 minutes ago. I fear I've gone grey again. ![]() A bit of background here, every year the 24 Hours of LeMans starts, no longer with the traditional "LeMans start" but with a fly past by the Armee de l'air Française. This year the air force pilots and LeMans prototype pilots took each other for an excursion in their machines. Love this tweet by LeMans and F1 star Alex Wurz:

Speaking of which, my older brother now has Cortana- that is, he can talk to his laptop. He's very pleased. I apologize for the shirt responses, touch screens are the devil. I will be working on PMs when I get a chance to sit down with my laptop. If anyone is interested, I snapped some shots of our big fluffy dogs and some of our surrounding land, it was a very nice day today. |

Does his laptop have anything intelligent to say? I have heard that about touch screens, I suspect I would not have the patience for them and would probably do much damage to them. Big fluffy dogs? Better than small yappy dogs. |

Only if he asks the right questions. It's true, I have never been one to express my anger at technology in a physical way, I was raised to respect electronics, however the number of times I have been tempted to hit this thing is easily in the thousands by now. LOL speaking of that, I just opened Twitter and saw the funniest thing. Twitter has been spamming me the last two days with crap I don' t want, promoted tweets. The first thing I saw was: T h i n k with Google It has always been my experience that people use Google so they can avoid thinking. I grew up in a time when you got technology to work by hitting it. Why else do you think the hammer was the first tool we invented as well as the first popular rapper. It kind of freaked my friends out when they saw me installing window panes with a hammer though. They did not want to go back into the windows and I wanted them back in the windows. Hammers are excellent convincers. I don't want a touch screen, I just want them to give me a 'Fluff' Off button. You know, for when my computer persists in asking me the same question repeatedly or wants information I don't think should be entrusted to computers or the internet. For a year now, every time I have to log into ebay or yahoo they ask me for my phone number. After a year they haven't got the hint. They offer, update your web security by entrusting your phone number to us or, maybe later. I'm way past wanting a No, NEVER! button, I want that 'Fluff' Off! button. A big, big, angry red one that glows ominously day or night. From our ![]() I give you THIS. Edited by Geezer, Mar 4 2016, 11:38 PM.

This is just further proof that computers are becoming self aware. If we rely on them to think... I once had a TV that could be fixed in such a fashion but technology these days is so delicate. I too have this problem, even if I wanted to give them my phone number just so they'd leave me alone, I do not have a mobile phone. I think the button should be programmed so that it occasionally growls ominously. I bleached my hair tonight in preparation to dye it, it is pink and blonde at the moment. |

Interestingly William Johnston wrote a novel based upon that idea in 1965. A very interesting and entertaining novel, I wish it was still in my collection but at least it is still housed in my memory. That was the best method of getting older model CRT tv's properly tuned on a station. Growling is good too. (You will want to add that to your file of 'Usefull tips from Geezer for using 1960's technology' next to the section on hand crank operated telephones.) Was the pink intentional? From: US ELECTION 2016 Ben Carson ends campaign, tells Republicans how to vote One-time frontrunner bows out of presidential race and outlines five-point guide on how to pick Republican candidates. 05 Mar 2016 06:39 GMT | US Election 2016, Politics, US & Canada, US http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/03/ben-carson-ends-campaign-tells-republicans-vote-160305042622264.html The remaining Republican candidates - Trump, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and John Kasich - are locked in a brutal slugfest for the nomination, as shown during Wednesday's debate in Michigan, which descended into name-calling and descriptions of the size of candidates' genitalia. Shouldn't this tell U.S. voters all they need to know about the election, vote Democrat whoever the candidate may be, it cannot be as bad as that scenario? After that you may want to cleanse your brains palate with this offering from Lego & Porsche |

I think I've heard of it before but I'm afraid I've never read any of his work. *writes notes in "useful tips" notebook with special red pen* No, but in retrospect, was kind of a foregone conclusion considering all the purple tint still left in my hair. Somehow, that doesn't surprise me. Sometimes I think it would be easier if we just elected a goat or a dog or something. Perhaps Tuxedo Stan? Thanks, Dylly

I quite often go out of my way to avoid Adam Sandler movies. Some of his SNL characters were good but I wasn't watching SNL at that time. In keeping with the Lounges tradition of bringing you the news that matters, I offer you this important milestone in pop-culture. If anyone is looking for a birthday gift for Suzu... Perty Pictures |

Dan Akroyd is brilliant, the original SNL with the original cast was amazing, somehow you find yourself laughing at even the bad routines that you tend to filter out over time. The original premise seems to have been to make a Canadian version of an English show for American television. Sometimes its homage to Monty Python's Flying Circus is too obvious and we tend to forget about the groaners but nobody cares how many times Mickey Mantle, Joe Dimagio or John Olerud struck out,1 we prefer to remember the moments of brilliance that could only come from a troupe led by John Belushi and Dan Akroyd. Nice dress Jordan, I would consider another colour but that is a personal preference and you would not go wrong with that dress, I am just suggesting options. Wear the dress that makes you happy when you put it on and makes you think, "This is the one." 1U.S. inclusive content for our members and Guests from the U.S.A., translated from the original Canadian, "... nobody cares how many times "Rocket" Richard, Darryl Sittler or Wayne Gretsky didn't put the puck in the net, ..." ![]() Tough call. The full bottle would probably make more of an impact in most rooms but the empty bottle has better visual balance and represents more of a challenge to the artist so a better opportunity to showcase your ability. I have nothing but respect for this guy, it would drive me crazy being so constricted by the reality of the subject but that is the challenge of illustration. I prefer the artistic challenge to the technical challenge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YzfZ_MDalU&feature=youtu.be&list=PLEKv0jWmqLM24gv3NLL6HkF8hGtehb3ae Edited by Geezer, Mar 6 2016, 03:59 PM.

The only two names I recognize are Joe DiMaggio and Wayne Gretsky but I understand the analogy. There's an artist on YouTube who does art similar to that, I was rather fond of the photo realistic glass vase he drew. Dylly, we could be the goat's presidential advisors! Sometimes during stressful times, I think to myself, I'm doing better than some. I'm not an alcoholic, have never been arrested, have no unwanted children and am not on drugs, unlike the majority of my extended family. Then I think, wait a minute, if I don't have all these problems, why is it I worry so much more? I guess I'd be relaxed too if I was blazed out of my mind. The world is made of sad ironies. |

We'd be able to get away with calling the president "the old goat" too. We could feed the old goat wieners all day & laugh about it. Ukes almost never worry. As long as we got a seme to tell us what to do & we can keep our seme happy, we're happy. That's almost all a uke wants. |

Hey Guys! I don't know man.. I'm still holding out for Mr Trump but was sad about Carson I would have been happy with him. At this point I'd rather see Mr. Give everything away Sanders then a traitor like Hillary Clinton. Sadly I've realized much of the world I live in is full of liberals so I've spent a bunch of time peeed off. Let's see what else. I'm on spring break which is so great. I'm in the process of learning another song in sign language. And Last but not least I present you this. A goal of mine when I got sick and my hair fell out in clumps was to have enough hair to be able to braid. After a long long wait and several vitamins and calories later I present you: https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/12798996_10153455117808519_3186799520945610105_n.jpg?oh=97be134668a7314db5bce90b6f6ef048&oe=576371D5 https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/12802708_1179932132018279_3280564451635812246_n.jpg?oh=c2b81175748fd5d1d13fe8fb403a4425&oe=574EAC10 https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/12794493_1179957178682441_6118490371265797051_n.jpg?oh=2284ecbb670122c476662bc18c3e075d&oe=57618F61 Edited by straightedgeninja, Mar 7 2016, 08:31 PM.
