I hope so too!
I have to see what my dad says, but I have a feeling he won't want me to. :p He's making me work part-time during the summer with him...

Perhaps if you remind him that you plan on making a living doing art and this is the time you have to learn your basic skills.Maybe you can arrange some kind of a compromise. I think your application reads well, maybe we can get some input from some other people too.

Yeah, I guess so. Last year it the classes were only 4 days a week, for three weeks. Maybe my dad will be OK with that.
While you're still here, can I ask you another question? ^_^;
"Is there anything else about your artistic practice you would like CAP to consider?"

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I don't really know how to go about this question? It's pretty vague. I could just write 'no,' but I want to write at least 3 sentences if I can and leaving this section blank isn't option.

Sorry I missed your question last night Mia, I think the question was left vague on purpose so it can cover most, if not all circumstances. For example, if you lived in Alaska so normally you could not study art but will be visiting the area in time for this program or if you had a physical disability which normally prohibits you from art study. They may give you extra consideration due to this being a rare opportunity for you. In your case, you were accepted last year so I anticipate you are the type student they are looking for. You could try adding something to the effect of your being serious about building a career in art and believe this will help you build more than just technical skills but will help you to develop creatively as an artist. So much so that although you were accepted into the program last year, you are stressing about being accepted again this year. See how this reads, if you think it is too much delete it, if you think it supports your case submit it for peer review, particularly your art teachers or if the program has an advisor. Short and simple is best, use one sentence if you can but do not short change yourself in the process.

Hey everybody! Bruce, don't be silly, I always miss you.

So uh, here's the deal guys. My laptop and tablet won't connect to the internet for reasons unknown to me. Mother's husband claims he hasn't done anything. He's on business in New York for a week so I'm using the extra desktop computer in his office, which is wired internet instead of wi-fi. I honestly have no idea when this issue might be fixed. Now, let me preface this next bit of news by saying I'm okay: We've been in a car wreck. We get road maintenance men out here every few weeks screwing with the dirt road, except literally all they do is grate it and drop loose gravel on it, which inevitably washes off in the rain. They re-graveled the road a few days ago and everybody, including my mom, had been slipping and sliding all over the place since. It was only a matter of time until somebody wiped out. Driving home Friday, going no more than 25 MPH, we hit a particularly loose patch and lost control. My husband tried to get us back on track but over-corrected and we did a full 180 and slammed into a tree. I thank the good Lord that we have only very minor injuries (Husband- kneecap out of place, sick burn on his arm. Me - Donkey punched in the head by the airbag). The car, however, is toast. We had to fill out an accident report with the cops, the whole deal, and got a ticket for "Failure to control vehicle". Suffice it to say, things have been hectic, however on the upside, after escaping with our lives my Give-A-Crap meter for all other stressful issues has reset itself to zero.

How's everyone else?

Welcome back, I'm glad to hear everyone is alright, make certain your husband takes care of his knee and rests it so it heals properly. Knee problems never seem to go away. Don't tell him I said that though. This is why I hate airbags with a passion. Even if I did not know so much about airbags I would suspect the efficacy of any safety device which requires a safety warning which oh by the way, includes the warning that it could kill your children. Or small dogs. Midgets. But not E-coli. They give tickets for bad road conditions? I grew up on a dirt road as well and that is how they maintained it also. As bad as gravel is, it was better than the potholes. Most of our road looked like the surface of the moon. I trust there is nowhere you can take the notepad to have the wi-fi checked? At least you are online for now and have a couple weeks of peace.

I'm trying, but he's exceedingly stubborn. I think he knows, he's had them for years even before this issue so if they had any chance of going away before, they probably don't now. I've always been wary of airbags, I see how they would work in theory but in practice they seem horribly impractical. The seat belt prevented me from hitting the dash, and it was the force of the airbag deploying that cracked (but thankfully did not shatter) the windshield, so literally all it succeeded in doing was punching me in the forehead. Apparently they do, I hardly see how this incident is our fault, in addition my husband has no prior violations on his driving record. This road is full of potholes but we know where all of them are and have gotten very good at dodging them. If I wanted to walk about a mile or two up the road I MIGHT get a signal if the whether is nice.

I'm blue. A very pretty blue but I didn't recognize me here. >.<
Great photo Jordan.
Love the new photo Lyssa. Hope you still like yourself.
Mia, did you find a prom dress yet?
I laughed, coughed & choked on hemorrhoids Suzu. (page 529)
Dale, I'm glad you liked "Kick-Ass" I thought it was a fun movie & the girl is really good. Theres a lot of violence but it's a comic book so it's hard to take most of it serious.
That's an awesome drawing Mia.
YOU KILLED FLUFFY~WUFFLES BRUCE ! ! !
How are you feeling Lyssa? Are your sinus's & everything better?
*scowls as he thinks Suzu & Geezer are talking about him somehow*
EWW! You guys are just gross. Next you'll be inventing the Weinie Chopper.
Hi Allie ! :) I don't know, I try to be a good example for the Lounge but then you guys come in & talk silly.
Brandon needs to be in the Lounge.
Your CASP application sounds good to me Mia. Yeah, pretty much what Bruce said.
I'm glad everyone was ok Suzu.
Airbags are scary.

Hi Everybody !

If you completely ignore all the problems with airbags, you are left with the one inescapable flaw with airbags, should they ever make a truly 'safe' airbag, airbags are deployed briefly upon impact, after which they are completely useless. Statistics have shown that most injuries and fatalities occur as a result of secondary impact for which of course, airbags are completely useless. So for airbags to work properly, you need to wear a seatbelt: if you are wearing a seatbelt, you do not need airbags. I doubt having an explosion resulting in having a large object throw itself at you , hitting you in the face during a period of high stress, will ever be 'safe' for anyone with a heart condition.

Is there any online test for wi-fi?

Hi Dylly.
Yes I still like myself. I'm feeling better for the most part but my ears are still achy and ringing. The ringing is so painful!
I don't know if I mentioned it but I have pretty much ended the relationship with my biological father. He said he was done trying....he retracted that statement a few days later but the damage has been done. Luckily I have a really great dad in Kenny.
I just want it to be summer already I'm so tired of school! Only a few more weeks.
Have this picture from Easter.

Also I haven't really been hungry and I've lost weight. Pj thinks it's stress related and will probably pass. I guess we'll see.

Nice photo Lyssa.

Here is a strange start to modern fashion and so called goth with all its purple: The Colour Purple Interestingly, purple had been around for a long time but came from a mollusk, a cowrie and was expensive to the extreme; hence purples relationship with royalty. In fact at one point in history only royalty was permitted to wear purple. Cowries have even been used as money. And yes, I have a favourite cowrie. It is not the "purple" Cowrie but it is nonetheless rather expensive so I do not have one in my collection. I generally prefer the Genus Murex as far as pelagic shell bearing mollusks are concerned. Just do not get me started on Cephalopods, we could be here all day.

Great photo Lyssa, it's good to see you looking happy again. I hope your ears get better soon, that sounds super annoying. I was hoping you were finally starting to get along with your father but you're right, you have a lot better relationship with Kenny. At least he isn't a jerk. We had snow, rain & freezing rain here today & they closed the bridge to high sided vehicles because of the wind, summer sounds really good. Could be stress but try to eat until you get your appetite back & stop worrying about stuff!

*tackles Dylly*

Seems I missed you. *waves sadly in the direction she thinks Dylly went*

Bruce, I always wear my seat belt, it seems common sense. The airbag looked rather like an over-sized, deflated bag of popcorn so I'm quite sure it wasn't going to be able to shield me from anything.

*pops in long enough to feed the crickets*

Airbags never look like they have enough nitrogen in them to actually cushion you, do they? Here is a little gem about airbags for you to ponder, "react rapidly with water to form sodium hydroxide; as a result, it would be quite harmful if it got into your eyes, nose or mouth. So to minimize the danger of exposure, air bag manufacturers mix the sodium azide with other chemicals that will react with the sodium and, in turn, make less toxic compounds." I know the expression, "less toxic" always reassures me.

Hello Bruce. I apologize for my absence, the computer issue has still not been fixed. I am doing my best. How are you?

It appears it is going to continue to be difficult for me to get here so I shall leave this early (or late, as the case may be, depending on when next he gets here):

Not a problem Alora, my history with computers is a history of problems. I know you are always here as much as you can be. I am good, not getting enough sleep but good nonetheless, how are you and yours? May your week be less difficult than you anticipate.

On a positive note Lyssa, antibiotics are always so yummy.
That is a good way to look at it, I myself could use a little summer.
Have you been having more migraines than usual?

I'm sorry you're not sleeping well, dear Bruce. I am well, as are my loved ones. I MAY have a solution to the internet problem soon if I am lucky, but that's a big if.

We shall pray that the antibiotics correct the problem soon. The second semester always seems longer but it should soon be over.

That would be excellent news Alora. That is a very nice drawing , sorry I did not get to mention it before.
