Hey everyone I haven't really been posting but I've been reading. After like a solid month or more of appetite loss I'm struggling to bounce back but trying my very best at staying afloat. I'm going to camp from Saturday to Thursday as a counselor in training and I'm really excited. Otherwise not much to report I guess. |

Well stop searching then! You're just going to get the same results every time. ![]() Hi Kat, glad you still come here & hope you will post more. I think I admitted I don't know what's happening on KW anymore. When I left I hated to lose my friends but I was kind of glad to be done with KW. Sometimes I hear stuff from my cousin but she isn't there as much now either. People always have different opinions & Jr Mods aren't always going to agree how to do the job but I tried not to worry about different opinions unless it got to be like Oz when he was stalking me. Everybody gets to be a Jr Mod for a reason so we should have more in common than stuff we disagree on, just try talking to each other. Hey Lyssa, sorry you're having appetite loss again, I hope you have fun at camp. |

Ughhhh... my tummy is sick... Went over and worked at packing up my aunt's things in the old house today. She is certainly a lover of knicknacks- we bought a giant roll of bubble wrap (150 feet) and used all of it and still aren't done. |

You too? Somewhere I picked up a cold again so I spent most of the week in bed or eating soup. That happens to me when I pack for an art show. Kat, so good to see you again, I hope you will post more often. I remember some chat but I don't recall anything particularly bad. Usually just talking with people fixes things and I suspect that is particularly true hear in the Lounge where our membership is made up of intelligent people. We are alway happy to see old friends return. Speaking of that, welcome back totally notGail. This weekend will see the running of the 84th edition of the annual 24 Hours of LeMans road race. This is one of the last of the truly great motor races from the golden age of road racing. The 24 Hours of LeMans is rather unusual in that it is largely by invitation. You can earn your place by successfully campaigning in one of the endurance racing series which LeMans is part of or you can be invited to participate if you have some reason to be included. This year we see the return of Alpine to the event as Renault resurrects this famous marque in time to participate and to also launch its beautiful new road car. Perhaps the biggest news for this year is the return of American brand, Ford to celebrate the 50th anniversary of it's historic first win in 1966 with the Ford G.T.40. Ford has brought the current Ford G.T. road car and have made no secret of the fact they plan to celebrate their anniversary with a victory in their class. For those who are not race fans and do not understand the appeal I am posting some photos from practice and qualifying that I think show something of the spectacle that is LeMans and why a small village lost in the French countryside became a racing capital for the world. Geezer, Fabulous photography in the racing photos. I loved the night scenes. I know you and Dylan will be glued to the racing scene and you both are competitors. Good luck in your own racing endeavors. Happy Fathers Day to you Mr. Wilson. You've been like a father to many over the past 10 years. I can't forget how you helped me out too. Zonkers, Tell your father, that I wished him a happy fathers day too. He's been a real inspiration and guidance factor in my life as well as your, although not as painfully instructive as for you. I hope your day went well.

There is something mystical about racing into the night, the excitement of the festival of lights contrast the solitude of the drivers yet is something beautiful to behold for both spectator and driver. Endurance racing is a true test of the crews and the light show it provides is something special. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. Thank you Dale, we strive to help and support each other here. The stupidity hurts. I mean it physically hurts. I don't know how this is even possible. I'm pretty sure it isn't. I'm beyond even wanting to bash my head into the wall. I can only stare blankly ahead with an expression that is a mix of boredom and constipation. If my mind were not already broken, this would break it. I will update my blog later. Right now, I need fried food and happy music... On a happier note: T:"You know, if we had any children, I'd wish that we had a gay friend." Me:"... Why's that?" T:"So they'd have a fairy godfather!" ![]() Me:"... Well, I have Dylan..." T:"Perfect! And yes, I just wanted to make the pun." Me:"But he would be a pretty good choice all around, though." T:*shrug* "I'm good with it." Edited by Suzu, Jun 21 2016, 03:24 PM.

nods I understand dear. I knew you were busy getting moved into your new home, I didn't know you had to deal with additional stupidity as well. We'll all hold down the fort while you get settled. *hands Alora an ice cream sandwich* That is what has gotten me through the last two weeks. I understand dear, I have been there so many times myself. I wish I could tell you it gets better but stupidity never changes. Probably because stupid people are not open to new ideas. New ideas involve learning something. You made me recall the last time I hit my head against a wall. It was my night off so I was sitting at a table in front of the bar instead of behind it. Now a bar may be a good place to look for stupid people and my, didn't we have our fair share of them but I sat that night with fairly sensible people as was my practice. I may have been over tired or not well to begin with but bringing the conversation down to an imbecilic level was the work of one person who joined us. I sat at one end of the table and at the other end there was a 2-2.5 sq. ft. wooden beam covered support pillar. At one point it got to be too much for me so I excused myself, pushed my chair back, stood up, walked around the table, smacked my head into a beam, turned, walked back around the table, took my seat again, looked up at everyone and said, "You may continue now," and took a sip of my drink. I may have sat with more sensible people on my days off but the unending stupidity that surrounded you at work took it's toll. It is best to remove yourself from those situations but it seems I never got that opportunity. Yes, stupidity can hurt physically, I am certain a lot of what I am dealing with now is a result of having to deal with so much stupidity over the past 8 years or so. If you can remove yourself from that situation Alora, do so. Now you wait here while I call Dylly. 1 1 Obscure "Friendly Giant" reference that only I will get. |

I'm not a fairy! *flutters wings angrily* I'm an elf. With wings. I've been hanging around but nothing much was happening. And I'm not gay, I'm bisexual. I'd be an awesome fairy godfather. I could teach important skills like shopping, picking out the best shoes & make up tips. The neat thing is all that would work even if you had a girl. Unless she took after you. Looks at Geezer, "Any more ice cream sandwiches?" Oh, guess what I've been doing lately when there isn't a race or anybody here, I've been catching up on The Teahouse. I was here before but nobody was here so I would of been reading it now except I'm here instead. Here's a link if anybody needs it: http://www.teahousecomic.com/ Do you think we should have it on our mainpage? It is kind of another online yaoi hangout. I hope you feel better soon Suzu. Dale, we had a good family day, I hope you had a good fathers day too. Lyssa, I hope you're having fun at camp & your appetite is better now. |

Dylly has always been my happy little elf. Just to prove you never know what you are going to find with an internet search I offer you this. WARNING! Should not be viewed by anyone who is queasy, sensitive or has eyes. Seriously, this is not for the faint of heart. Last chance, when you get to the slabs of meat you may become a vegetarian. Okay but I warned you. I really did you know. Spoiler: click to toggle Prior to this I thought John Denver was a strange result for my search. Will return with legitimate results of my search. Now, here is everything you never wanted to know about my obscure Friendly Giant reference. Wikipedia: Friendly Giant Wikipedia: Bob Homme ebay youtube Opening sequence complete with some commercials which show why nobody watches CBC. youtube: 2 Much of the opening sequence was repeated daily such as the lines, "where's that boot?" and the part about the chairs but there were changes each day. After a visit to the city in the summer, this clip opens with a visit to the country in the winter. Bob Homme also had at least two music albums released, the children's album referenced above and an album for the adult market. I heard only one track from this album, an instrumental which seemed to be an arrangement of the theme from "Exodus". Unfortunately I was unable to get a copy of this at the time. Bruce, the move itself, at the very least, is going fairly well. I swear my aunt owns more knickknacks than should logically fit in her house and have thus come to believe that she has employed the use of some sort of dimensional rift in order to get them all in there- we have thus far gone through 300 (not an exaggeration) feet of bubble wrap wrapping them all up and are still not done. I would have liked to have witnessed that sight personally, what was the reaction of the rest of the table? DEAR LORD WHY In fairness, you did warn me, but still, WHY??? This children's program reminds me of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, if it were older and significantly stranger. @Dylly: *checks watch* Don't worry, you have awhile. |

Final Draught So what you're telling me is, your aunt wasn't a cat person? Dusting must have been fun. Personally I believe that knickknacks reproduce any time no one is watching. Have you established a time frame for when you think you will complete the move? You have to understand, I was something of a headbanger in the eighties to begin with. The general reaction was to glance at me with an are you alright look but the looks ran the gamut from, "That sounded like a hard hit, are you alright?" to, "Seriously dude, are you alright?" but generally I think everyone else secretly wished they could do it too. Of course the person responsible for the nosedive the conversation had taken said he hoped it wasn't a result of what he was saying. Because I wanted to save any sensible person the shock I endured I think part of me is secretly hoping someone will be able to explain to me how youtube could possibly think anyone searching a bucolic childrens show from the sixties (when I watched it) would want to see that. I'm picturing horrified parents and traumatized toddlers as parents try to save children from violence & South Park by showing them the gentle shows they grew up with. This is worth reading and watching. Don't miss the live stream at the bottom of the page. https://www.upworthy.com/dont-miss-this-emotional-historic-protest-happening-on-the-floor-of-the-house-right-now?c=hpstream Edited by Geezer, Jun 23 2016, 02:33 AM.

We haven't even managed to finish dusting yet, on account of the fact that the house lacks a stepladder or a sturdy chair to reach the knickknacks in high-up places. How they got up there is a bit of a mystery considering my aunt is MAYBE 5'0. No, we've no idea, if all had gone according to plan we'd likely be living there already but life seldom cooperates that easily. People with a knack for killing a conversation are usually blissfully unaware of possessing such a talent, I think. I, for one, have no idea how anyone could think that video was in any way related and hope to see it get lost forever in the deep recesses of youtube where we might never gaze upon it again. Forgive the short reply, I am tired, I just got home from my shift a little while ago. My client has some brand new great Pyrenees puppies, one of whom managed to wiggle through the fence as I was leaving, so I had to carefully hoist the wiggly little furry ham back into the pen, and when we arrived home there was a large, fully grown ornate box turtle (a male I think, although it had traits of both sexes) sitting by the gate to our walkway. I picked him up and carried him a ways into our front yard so our dogs would be less likely to harass him. Perhaps I should look into animal rescuing. |

Hey guys. I had fun at camp. Very tiring and I feel a little under the weather now but it was fun nonetheless. I actually got asked if I would be a regular counselor next year. Which is a huge shock as this was only my first year and they already want to promote me. But I'm very excited and will now take this next year to mentally prepare. Things at my current church have gone downhill since PJ left so while at camp I found a new church to attend. It was really great to be ministered to and I got just as much benefit from the camp as the teens. Due to walking at least 6 miles a day for the camp session I was eating constantly. I am now quite muscular Now it's just figuring out what to do when at home but that shouldn't be too hard. Hope everyone is well.

I think I encountered the word "vagina" there in a higher ratio than during The Vagina Monologues. A good article and helpful but I was beginning to wonder if there was a bit of an obsession going on there. |
