I suppose it might technically be possible if I had the patience. How are you fairing dear Bruce?

Tolerable. After three weeks of summer it is cooling off again. The whole summer has felt like autumn so now we prepare for the real thing. I am hoping for a good Indian summer, usually our best weather. How are you and what is new down south of the border?

Is everyone ready for the new school year?

It didn't really get hot down here this year except for a few scattered days. Lately it's been cool and mild but I suspect the hurricane in Texas is effecting our weather. I'm alright, not much to report. The kittens are growing rapidly and are utterly convinced that on top of the washing machine is a good place to sleep (ignoring their kitty bed) and that the litter liner is a toy- I finally got so frustrated with them incessantly messing with it that after changing out the litter and liner I taped the new one to the box. Which of course will be a hassle to untape when it's time to change the litter again.

I gave up on litter box liners, as the cats scratch them and make a mess. I use two litter boxes - one upstairs and one in the basement. I change them daily and wash them in the kitchen sink. The cats like a clean box. One goes outside and comes in to use the litter box. Then she wants out again. After 5 pm we keep all cats in, because of foxes and fisher cats.
If you've never heard a fisher cat screech, check this site:

We currently have just one box (I'm sure we'll need another one as they get bigger) and it's kept in the bathroom and washed in the shower stall which is scrubbed down and bleached afterwards- I intend to keep all waste germs located in one waste elimination room, I am afraid of them. You should have seen me the night Sasha decided to jump in the toilet.

And here I thought the coyotes made creepy sounds! Yeesh!

*gazes around empty lounge*

*twiddle thumbs*

... *digs through sofa cushions- pulls out two nickels, a pair of panties and a Dorito*

Sigh.

*idly wanders over to Dylly's old closet to put panties away- spies old, lonely sailor suit*

I bet this doesn't even fit him anymore.

... I wonder...

*carefully looks around- sees no one*

... *slowly removes suit from hanger*

Just popped in long enough to post this: http://w11.zetaboards.com/B_L_Lounge/single/?p=10001964&t=8599350

You know if you peer close enough into the dark corners of the Lounge you will find I am always lurking here. By the way, Dylly has been trying to get here but is having technical difficulties, he keeps crashing. He will keep trying.

That is a delightfully random video. Yuffie glared at me for turning it on and disrupting her slumber.

*makes a mental note to poke at dark corners with a stick next time before engaging in anything overtly shameful* Clearly it's because he uses up too much processing power on sparkling. I hope you're well Bruce.

A cat with an opinion to share?

Magics are best practiced in the dark. Probably why the early scribes of the Bible did not care for practitioners of magic. That and most magicians are dependant upon dark powers to wield their magic.

Yes, always with the sparkling. Particles use resources and cause lag. I am tolerable dear, which is rather intolerable for me but mayhap I am getting used to it. I hope all is well with you and yours?

I think her general opinion of most things is "Who cares, you should pet me.", but were she more cultured I believe she would have enjoyed the video.

I shudder to think what vile spells you may be concocting away from prying eyes. If I observe you, will I be turned into a newt? "Newt" is a word and I have no idea why my phone just tried to autocorrect it to "beer". If I turn into a beer, please don't spill me.

That's unfortunate. Would it help if I laid waste to your enemies? Burning and pillaging perhaps? Or maybe just a nice coffee? No? A hug?

Things are alright. We get to bathe the kittens this evening and pack to stay several days at my mother's house. She and her husband are going on a cruise and are afraid there will not be a house to come back to if certain people are not supervised and directed. I know, I'm as shocked as you are- I'm being considered responsible? The world is ending.

Cats usually view such things as, "That looks mildly interesting. Can I play with it? I don't see how that is about me at all, I shall ignore it as it deserves."

Spells are for amateurs or worse, wiccan's. Magic is naturally sourced and inorganic.A newt? I know of no mortal who has ever had that sort of power. For that you would have to consort with dark powers. Not for me and I do not recommend it. The best I could come up with was Newcastle, one of the beers I like is Newcastle Ale.

Is there ever a bad time for burning and pillaging? Ooo, coffee. Coffee and hugs, two of natures finest creations.

I think I felt the earth shift on its axis. And by her husband too! Good luck these things seldom go smoothly.

Totally glad there's no fisher cats around here.

Peers in to try & see which pair of panties he lost this time then hangs up a new, slightly larger sailor suit. Cool video, now I feel like dancing while I'm here. Any new kitten photos or videos? I check the lounge most days even if I can't post.

What's wrong with sparkles anyways? Suzu, are you at your mothers yet?
*mumbles* I like my cat.
Wiccan's... *smirks*
Ohhhh, new cartoons! <_< glares at Geezer
See everybody soon I hope! *swirls his skirt & poofs*

Coffee, hugs, burning, and pillaging. What more could you ask from life? *hugs* You know Bruce, that's somewhat ironic, considering I'm sure with fairly minimal effort you could convince most people that you were in fact some kind of super-intelligent, magical demonic entity (this is intended as a compliment).

We got here yesterday, I found a decomposing mouse under the sink. I have all kinds of kitten photos, videos too- I just can't upload them until we go to the library. The internet here is just maybe, slightly, possibly, a tiny little bit better than before (sometimes. If you squint.), but I'm pretty sure trying to upload to youtube would still crash it. I can try and get some photos up tomorrow though. They're behaving themselves but they seem kind of bored, which I guess is to be expected. We snuggle and love them all through the day and they've found a wrestle buddy in uncle Ryan but we can't let them run through the house. We tried putting them on a harness with a leash but they weren't having it.

I would just like to immortalize this quote from my little brother by putting it on the internet: "I unironically love Crotch-Ninja."

Lots of rain heading towards Halifax. I hope you stay dry and safe.
Hopefully, the hurricane will wind down before it reaches your shore.

Oopsie!

Since all of you people have cats I'm sure you know that very little kittens can have rather ambiguous looking genitals. Me and T investigated as best we could when they first arrived but even with pictures from the internet, neither of us has spent a lot of time around kittens (save for my departed Ritsuka) and had to go with our best guess. Well kittens delight in sticking their butts in your face and as the weeks go by I couldn't help but notice a growing (literally) disparity. Delve into the internet once again to confirm with pictures, yeeeeeeah that's totally what that is. Sorry Yuffie, you should've been Yuri. At least I don't think he's too offended.

Suzu,
Yes, at first kittens look alike, but as they get older, the male gets a little "powder puff" that protrudes. Like people, they do not get interested in female cats until they are teenagers (in cat terms).
When a male cat gets fixed, they will still sometimes go after a female cat in heat, a fuzzy stuffed animal, or a cuddly blanket.

Well, at least we have some time, but gotta get him fixed for sure. Sasha will be spayed as well (she's a girl no question), but he'll take priority at first because I don't want him to start spraying things.

Waiting for peanut butter brownies to come out of the oven~

Ryan: *pinching my face* "You have little baby cheeks!"
Me:"I do not!"
Ryan:"Well, little baby cheeks, except add 20 years of stress."
Me:"... Love, do I have little baby cheeks with 20 years of stress?"
T:"You don't have little baby cheeks."

... Harsh perhaps, but not necessarily inaccurate.

Trying to be here but I have been trying to stave off a cold since waking Friday. Wanted to post but that required thinking; too much like work. It was 10℃ early last night so I imagine we were into single digits by morning. Frost cannot be far off now. I hope everyone is doing well.

Its snowing in Montana and parts of Colorado and Wyoming today. I don't think NS will be quite that cold for a while. Bruce, take care of your cold and keep warm. Try some Canadian whiskey with maple syrup. It will warm you while killing off some germs.

I'm afraid scotch is the only whiskey I have at home at the moment and not much of that. I did however pick up a bottle of port the other day when I had to go out to buy food. Nothing like a fortified wine to fortify you when the nights turn cold and you do not feel well. We are into October now so we will probably see at least some flurries this month.

I thought that said "furries" and briefly wondered if some kind of strange convention takes place in October, since I could think of no other reason why you'd especially be expecting to see any. I'm sorry you're feeling poorly again Bruce. Get some rest- don't make me put my foot in an unpleasant location.

It's still warm here. It was rainy and muggy outside today, although it was fairly cold inside since T cannot survive if the air conditioner is not set to "frozen tundra". When winter arrives you'll see me bundled under three layers of clothing and him in basketball shorts.

Yes we have a furry convention every October as it s too hot for furries to convene here in the summer. It usually runs concurrently with the Shriners convention; we have been practicing "don't ask, don't tell" longer than the US military.
I had a good run for a decade or so but now seem to be back to my usual 'if it s gong around, I will get it."

It was 9℃ at 12:30 - 1:00pm today so my guess s that nights are not warm here. I know the type, I used to go to church with a chap who would stroll in wearing just a summer sport jacket and white shirt while I huddled under at least 4 layers wondering if I would survive the cold and why did I ever leave the house, don't I know it is winter?
