Well the first two classes were really general history of world religions as an overview. The second was about Christianity in America. The last was about the role of Religion in Revolution.

How do the crusades shape people's beliefs about religion?
C'mon Rach, don't make me explain this :P

It's one of the favored arguments against the Catholic Church in general. Past conflicts, especially those more recent, help creating long-lasting barriers. Reminding everyone what each side was doing before. People like to find stuff from the past and use it in the present. Everyone uses history in some way, especially when it comes to politics and comparing different groups. Maybe you don't understand that because it doesn't matter to you but some people act this way.
