I was just born in Poland and I speak Polish. My ancestors were Polish and probably German. Idk what really defines being Slavic, there's now one silly song popular in Poland about how Slavic girls are better and sexier than the rest but it's kinda going into stereotypes  Maybe I should look into my genetic profile xd

Weird. The two polish people I've discussed this with have told me in clear terms that they didn't initially believe they were Slavic. One was a professor who taught at the prestigious university of Warsaw during the Soviet era. |

During the communist regime the Soviets were frequently spreading that idea so it's not surprising True, there are theories which claim Poles are rather a mixture of different peoples from different ages but they are not mainstream and need confirmation through genetic analysis. We're not genetically pure Slavs (what a term) but we still use a Slavic language (not 100% original either because of foreign influences, mainly Latin ones) and the cultural identity is clearly Slavic also, even since the Middle Ages.
