Approval Rating of Obama & Congress

I was reading an article discussing how the approval rating of Obama was in the 40s and how generally you'd expect this to mean that the Presidents party (the democrats) would struggle in the mid-term election. Except... the approval rating of congress, which features a majority of republicans is at a whopping 16%. Basically Obama is about 2 to 3 times as popular as the legislators.

It is interesting but, It doesn't tell us a lot about the country's approval rating of Republicans. Most Republicans, when asked if they approve or disapprove of Congress, would still be likely to say they disapprove because there are too many Democrats in Congress, or Fake Republicans or whatever. This is evident when you Compare Congressional approval ratings to an individual District's approval rating of their Representative. What you'll usually find is that a District has a low approval rating of Congress, but has a high approval rating of their Congressional Representative.
