Anyone interested? We also need a mapmaker for the region. I'm willing to help moderate nation-based RP, as I am the most experienced in all the RPing I've done online, next to character-based RP. I'm not a graphic artist, so someone would need to develop a map. |

The program is called Greenfish Relief but unfortunately it doesnt give too much customization. If you would prefer i could make a map with paint, i might have one lying around. But for the artic, you could always say the first 4-5 squares from the top includes the artic region or something along those lines |

Fair enough then. I only have three concerns: 1. It doesn't, to me anyway, really seem 'norse/nordic' enough for Balder >.> ofc this could be dealt with by throwing an icecap in there at the top or summit. 2. It's not Balder-made or commissioned, and I'd have preferred some regional input on the map beforehand. Again, this can be dealt with either by saying 'get over it' or by making tweaks to the map. 3. Scale bar a) looks shit, and b) has a scale on which, again, I'd prefer to be region decided. I do, rather selfishly I'll admit, wish BCI/Kyrusia didn't have to look for a job atm, as he's easily the best mapmaker on NS I've come across, and he's a bro so he would've done one. If the region doesn't want the one linked here, I could ask around Sanc and other rp irc channels for a mapmaker. And if AD doesn't want to be editor/cartographer I'd be happy to undertake it. EDIT: I'd also like to get Osiris + Balder on a map together at some point, and perhaps some of the other feeders should their rping communities wish it. Edited by St George, Dec 3 2011, 01:55 AM.

I'm pretty open about a map, I just want also an arctic sectoin. We first need to establish also various ground rules for map plots. Say, one map plot per nation? What to do about expansion? As for RP tech, I would suggest allowing MT (Modern Tech) and PMT (post modern tech). PMT would be tech that's of the near future, but not so futuristic it's improbable. Those PMT types would need to be approved. I wouldn't mind moderating this RP Section as I started out with naton-based RPing and have experience RPing and moderating in this area. It can also be a collective effort of people as well. |

I'm entirely against adding 'plots' to the map, as it makes it look crap, and 99/100 it doesn't look realistic at all. What looks better this plot map or this natural map? |
