I'm going to attempt to write out a better one soon, but in the meantime could Zdenka please take of the "Please check back later." in the WFE? I don't think it's helping much with recruitment.

How do you all like this? It only took about five minutes and can be refined a lot, but I like it. ![]() http://www.nationstates.net/region=a_copy_of_barrayar |

It's for WFE testing purposes... ![]() And if Zdenka ever starts acting up, I can always make it into a parody again... oh, wait, Zdenka is Jewish. That would be bad.

It's a whole series, actually. But really, this region takes nothing from book-Barrayar except for the name. It's definitely not something you need to know in order to participate. |

The series can be started either with Shards of Honor or The Warrior's Apprentice. The books are by Lois McMaster Bujold. Since I don't know where you live, I can't point you at a place to find them, but around here, public libraries frequently carry them. |

I've never seen them in any of ours, or I'd have read them. But...that they don't doesn't really surprise me. I'll see if I can find them.
