Earth Reclamation Union The United Defense Force Space Navy The Following listing for warships used in space by the Earth Reclamation Union are ships repurposed or based off of frames used by civilian use equipment. Such ships aside from their counter civilian parts are given mounted weapons and slightly reshaped to serve the military efficiently without too many problems. Though civilians of the ERU still question the need of a military, this power is considered absolutely necessary should the ERU worlds be threatened by the thought of war ever again. All ships within the United Defense Forces, the ERU's military, are kept in pristine condition and maintained by clone and android crews to avoid any problems with natural born service officers or crew. ![]() General Data Class: Destroyer Codename: Nevada Hull Designation: SDD Manufacturer: Arma Armed Industries (AAI); Affiliation: ERU; UDF; Personnel Compliment: 200 enlisted (Crew as well) Technical Data Build Materials: Reinforced Space Age Titanium Alloy Length: 250 meters Powerplant: Cold Fusion Reactor, power output unknown; Travel Capabilities: Space Arsenal Data Special Features: Anti Missile Active Decoy (AMAD) System; Targeting Laser Deflecting Gel (TLDG) Coating; Sensor Systems: Standard UDF Sensor Package, max range 540 kilometers unblocked; Fixed Weapon Placements:
Equipment Carry Abilities: Internalized Hangar; 2x Service lifts; 2x Catapults Mechs: Up to eight standard sized mobile suits may be ferried inside the ship; Upper deck capable of situating up to fifteen mobile suits; Support Units: Up to 10 fighters may be serviced; Historical and Technical Notes The Nevada class destroyer is one of several warships developed by Arma Armed Industries for the United Defense Force. Like most of the ERU's weapons, the Nevada class is developed from civilian type ships, but has a rather "surface naval" look to it due to the shape of the bow. After the introduction of the ERU and UDF mobile suits, the Nevada classes bow is redesigned to ferry mobile suits and fighters into battle. Equipped with the UDF standard for sensors and defense systems, the ship is very lightly armed with a pair of beam cannons as its primary weapons, CIWS for point defense, and a set of missile launchers for ranged attacks. ![]() General Data Class: Missile Destroyer Codename: Alaska Hull Designation: SDDG Manufacturer: Arma Armed Industries (AAI) Affiliation: ERU; UDF; Personnel Compliment: 220 crew and enlisted Technical Data Build Materials: Reinforced Space Age Titanium Alloy Length: 280 meters Powerplant: Cold Fusion Reactor, power output unknown; Travel Capabilities: Space Arsenal Data Special Features: Anti-Missile Active Decoy (AMAD) System; Targeting Laser Deflecting Gel (TLDG); Sensor Systems: Standard UDF Sensor Package, max range 605 kilometers; Fixed Weapon Placements:
Equipment Carry Abilities: Internalized Hangar; 2x Service Lifts; 2x Catapults; Mechs: Can ferry and service up to ten mobile suits; Support Units: Can service and ferry up to eight fighters or support craft; Historical and Technical Notes The Alaska class is a variant developed from civilian transports as well, but uses the same basic frame shape as the Nevada class destroyer to reduce cost and labor for developing a whole new ship. The Alaska class is slightly longer than the Nevada class by 30 meters, this is to allow the integration of a VLS missile system for cruise missiles or for missiles specifically meant for longer ranged engagements. As most weapons are the same, most parts are capable of being swapped, however the Alaska Class uses a set of bigger dual barrel cannons instead its predecessors single barrel cannons. ![]() General Data Class: Cruiser Codename: Bismark Hull Designation: SCB Manufacturer: Arma Armed Industries (AAI) Affiliation: ERU; UDF Personnel Compliment: 280 crew Technical Data Build Materials: Reinforced Space Age Titanium Alloy Length: 300 meters Powerplant: Cold Fusion Reactor, power output unknown; Travel Capabilities: Space Arsenal Data Special Features: Anti-Missile Active Decoy (AMAD) System; Targeting Laser Deflecting Gel (TLDG); Sensor Systems: Standard UDF Sensor Package, max range 600 Kilometers unblocked; Fixed Weapon Placements:
Equipment Carry Abilities: Internalized Hangar; 1x Catapult; 1x Retrieval Runway; Mechs: N/A Support Units: Can ferry and service up to twenty-five fighters and various unmanned drones; Historical and Technical Notes The Bismark class is a Cruiser built around the designs for large civilian and transport ships. The Bismark class is given the role of an anti-ship combatant when engaged in fleet battles, its 38 anti-ship missile launchers ensure it has enough fire power to fight even the largest of warships. Coupled with nine small energy cannons and the basic CIWS emplacements for point defense, the Bismark class is truly a powerful ship killer, at least by ERU Standards anyway. The ship is not capable of holding mobile suits, but it can transport fighters and unmanned drones into combat, which makes the Bismark Class Cruiser great for reconnaissance missions as well. ![]() General Data Class: Command Cruiser /w deployables Codename: Compton Hull Designation: SCD Manufacturer: Arma Armed Industries (AAI) Affiliation: ERU; UDF Personnel Compliment: 300 Crew Technical Data Build Materials: Reinforced Space Age Titanium Alloy Length: 300 meters Powerplant: Cold Fusion Reactor, power output unknown; Travel Capabilities: Space Arsenal Data Special Features: Anti-Missile Active Decoy (AMAD) System; Targeting Laser Defecting Gel (TLDG); Sensor Systems: Advanced UDF Sensor Package, max range 700 kilometers unblocked; Fixed Weapon Placements:
Equipment Carry Abilities: Internalized Hangar; 1x Catapults Mechs: Can ferry and service up to ten mobile suits, not including support weapon space; Support Units: Can ferry and service up to six support craft; Historical and Technical Notes The Compton class is a specialized cruiser repurposed from civilian cargo haulers to help bring more fire power to the battlefield, without causing much concern for civilian pressure on the ERU Government. As a command cruiser, it is not uncommon to see such a ship or two at the heart of every United Defense Force Fleet. Featuring a pair of standard high energy cannons and CIWS for point defense and anti-air, the Compton class has proven itself to be reliable even in the face of the enemy. The ship itself can also deploy mobile suits or support craft making defending this ship that much easier. The Compton is also the first of any UDF affiliated ships within the ERU to be trans-atmospheric. Edited by Lester, May 2 2014, 05:06 AM.
