Given Name: Ezekiel Yates Alias: Zeke Furcadia Alt: Ezekiel Yates Species: Homo Superior Gender: Male Age: 18 Mutation: Zeke has the power to manipulate a special energy, which charges up its target. A charged target will be stronger while the energy remains, taking less damage, wear, tear, exc. Its momentum and velocity are also increased, making it impact harder and penetrate deeper. (Think being able to create mini temporary Juggernauts.) The faster the object is launched, swung, or moved, the more the energy will charge it up. (He himself does not need to "throw", "launch", "swing", or "fire" the object. Just charge it beforehand) Weaknesses: He can only charge inanimate objects. If this is a permanent limitation or a sort of temporary mental restriction (one that will take a LONG time of training and trial/error to break past) is up to debate. He can only charge a limited number of items at once. This is a temporary limitation that can be widened with training, but there will always be a cap of how many he can charge at once. Starting limitation: 1 He MUST touch the object to charge it. Perhaps in the future he may be able to from very short range, but that will require a development of his powers. Example: If he has a handgun, and he tried to charge it in order to power up the bullets, the gun would take the charge and the bullets would remain normal. He would be required to charge the first shot prior to loading, take out the magazine, recharge first shot, and reload. (Methods around this. Slingshot, which each shot put in by hand. Or a Penny Arcade rifle, where each shot is put in by hand. Character personality and resources will not have him going for guns and such, though.) Same with swinging weapons. If he is holding two sticks, he can only charge one up at a time. The item will run out of energy as it travels. Eventually, it will run out. This is more an effect over time and not distance. So a rock thrown by hand will go a much shorter distance compared to a slingshot. Training can possibly increase how long the effect lingers. Starting length cap: To be discussed, likely only a few seconds. Once released, Zeke has NO control over the item. Others may manipulate its direction. Example. He fires a metal BB from a slingshot after charging it. Magneto, or a telekinetic, could likely alter the trajectory, but making it slow down/stop would be difficult. Accuracy is key. He can throw or swing all day long, or shoot, or whatever. If he doesn't have the accuracy to hit, it is pointless. Starting accuracy: Average thrown. Zill in all others. Weight is limiting. Under his own power, he can only charge a small amount of "mass" at once. Pushing that limit may be possible, but will leave him vulnerable, weak, or even out cold. May temporarily remove Secondary Mutation if it exists. To limit himself: For every 5 pounds of weight, it takes 1 unit of "energy" to charge. This will never change, but actual charges to weight ratio can be nerfed or buffed to moderator's judgement. Energy comes back at a rate of 1 a turn. Can be expanded upon with training. Energy cap at this time: 3 I think is a good number. Up to 15 pounds, exhausting himself and needs three rounds to recuperate energy. Its obvious what he charges. The energy is a glowing yellow light. He COULD charge one object and throw a fistful, to try and hide it, but one glance will tell you which one it is. That, and it will move quite faster than the others. Secondary Mutation: As a channel for the energy, held within his body, his flesh gains a hint of the power. Physically he is faster than average. No speedster, his running speed and physical body can move visibly faster than someone of the same physical fitness. As well, his body is slightly tougher. Can take a few more hits than he would without the energy. Weakness: If he depletes his energy, this mutation wears off till back to full. Physical Description: Height: 5'10" Weight: 165 Figure: Average build, not overly strong. Complexion: Light Hair: Dark brown, cut short swept to left side. Eyes: Hazel/brown Facial Hair: Clean Shaven, may experiment. Cloths: Prefers Jeans and T-shirt, but comfortable in many things. Usually carries a Backpack around with him. Current model, Black bag with Glow in the Dark Skeleton ribcage. Attached hood includes skull. Personality: Thirsty for skills. Likes to learn new things, enjoys using his hands for activities, or to run around/climb/exc. Gets bored if there is nothing to do. History: Very little important has happened to his past. Not the most popular kid in school. Not really the strongest or fastest, did average on school work when he could focus on it. Zeke tends to gravitate to odd skills, things that have gotten some "clown" comments from others. Proficient on the Unicycle, he has learned normal and contact Juggling, light climbing, cards, simple jumps (over fences, benches, down from a short drop). He has done skateboarding, rollerblading, biking, snowboarding, stilting. Father never really approved of his focus on hobbies, but never stopped him from practicing them. As any teen, his freedom came to him when his licence was approved of, though limited by his lack of car. Having to take a part time job around school, he started saving up for his own car, with help of Christmas and birthday money. Finally his savings and job earned him enough for a small loan for a used Sedan. The perfect one was selected, and Zeke went on a test drive to make sure it was the car for him. Unlucky for him, a person was distracted by their phone, ran the red light right in front of Zeke in a gas-guzzling hummer. In the moment of panic, Zeke's mutation surged to the surface. A sudden yellow light streamed from his hands into the car, moments before he T-boned the other car. The Hummer was hit hard, making it fly several yards away from the Sedan, a large dent in the tank of a car. Luckily the driver was alone and besides a little whiplash, uninjured. The Sedan, though, was undamaged. Some barely scratched paint, but no dents to be found in the car. Zeke, within, was mostly okay, other than a little pain where the seat belt yanked at his shoulder and an egg that was forming on his forehead where he hit the steering wheel. He only had a few moments to take in the scene before hit by a sudden exhaustion, passing out still in his seat belt. Traffic cameras caught the event on tape, the other driver proven to be at fault for the accident. Zeke was taken to the hospital while still unconscious, and has been held while doctors try to find out what caused him to pass out, as no visible damage on his body would have caused it. Further tests are pending to check for possible brain damage that may have occurred during the accident. Possible Future: No real plans. Just a character to grow and develop as RP takes him. I. Love. This. Character. The powers are so well-balanced, and I can tell that you've put serious time and thought into this character not only as a mutant but as an individual. You have my approval as is, unless anyone else has an issue with Zeke. And I greatly look forward to RPing with him! |

I already told you my thoughts, but yes. Indeed, he is very well-balanced. I don't see any issues with the character, and hope to see him awake soon enough. |
