Given Name: Richard Hunter Weakness: Yes, my parents have a cruel sense of humor. Yes, I know what my name can mean. No, you aren't the first to mention it. No, you may not call me that. Yes, Mr. Hunter will be just fine. Alias: Mr. Hunter Furcadia Alt: Mr. Hunter Species: HomoSuperior Gender: Male Age: 32 Mutation: Water body. He can turn part or all of his body into water, except for his brain. When part of the body is changed, a grey shell seals off the body, covering up any grotesque views. When the full body is changed, what remains is the grey shell covering the brain about the size of a rugby ball, but it is a little bigger and rounder. Still a grey shell, there seems to be a dark spot that moves just under the surface, likely his “eye” so he can see still. Weakness: Though the water is no longer part of him, he still needs water to move, speak, and return to normal. At least 12-13 gallons to return to his human form. He can keep his water with him normally, but if a speedster or someone with a way to quickly remove him from the water body, far enough away so that he can t use it, he is vulnerable and helpless (and speechless). It would take about 3 minutes to pull 12 gallons of water from average humidity air, which would allow him to return to his human body, at minimum. (Mathed out, 4 gallons gathered in a minute. 1 gallon in 15 seconds. 13 average for his body.) The nucleus is solid. He can put controlled water through small cracks and under doors exc. But his nucleus is stuck if it can't fit through. And he won t be able to see everywhere he can reach. Secondary Mutation: 1: Water Control. Up to 20 feet away he can control water. From slow and easy, to high pressure. (Often uses a water jet cutting method to carve stone for sculptures. Tends to put a high-pressure stream into a loop, spinning it fast to create a cutting water disk.) Water can be drawn out of the air bit by bit, about a gallon every 15 seconds as long as there is moisture to take. He can also gather all at once if in a body of water, up to stamina limits of how much he can control at once. In his full form, he has no mouth. Using his control of water, he vibrates it to produce a “voice” so that he can still speak. It doesn't sound quite like him, tends to be more of a slurred echo than an actual voice. It is likely he can try making other sounds, but this has not come up yet. Weakness: Dry areas are harsh on him as he can loose the water he needs to use his abilities. Heat and fire abilities can evaporate his water faster than he can collect it, and if he falls under the 13 gallon limit, he won t be able to shift back into human form. 2: Water Bladder. Throughout his body is a continuous bladder under his skin. Excess water is stored in the bladder, making him look overweight. Bladder valves are at the extremities. If part of the body is shifted via main mutation, water can exit the shell from the bladder. Main valve is in the throat. Easiest to fill via drinking. Weakness: To keep from being obvious to non-mutants, he needs to maintain a high level of water, so he has a source on hand and not have a random day he comes in with 100 pounds more weight than what people are use to. Clothing: If he uses up his water reserves, he will suddenly be a stick in a deflated parachute, hindering movement and drawing attention to himself. Unintentional bonus: As he is carrying around the excess weight, and it all being water weight, he is physically stronger than the average person his size. Physical Description: Surfer Boy gained a few years. And pounds. And a job. Thinning long blond hair was pulled back in a low ponytail, sea blue eyes set in a chubby face well tanned from an upbringing on the beach. . Often found wearing cloths sporting the wonderful invention of Elastic, the large man tended towards ether comfortable loose or teacher-grade 3 piece suits. About six feet tall, the guy was definitely hard to miss. Personality: Tends to be relaxed, voice and behavior seems like he is usually at the beach. Doesn't care to be overly serious. History: Growing up in Florida, the waters of the ocean called to him, spending most of his free time (and some of his not free time) at the beaches. Hunter kept goofing off with friends and neglecting his education, preferring the surf board to the chalk board. One year when feeling daring, he went out during a storm with some of his less intelligent friends. As any sportsman of the waves, he wanted to test himself. Unfortunately for him, the storm got worse, harshly increasing the waves ferocity and winds that nearly pulled him right off his board. The whole group got separated in the storm, several got out with their boards. Some washed up without their boards. One board came to shore without it’s rider. When Hunter woke, he was deep in the ocean, surrounded by water, not knowing what way was up and where he was. Or where his body was. Plenty of freaking out ensued. After a day of trying to figure out what was going on, slowly he had to figure out how to control himself. A day passed before he could propel himself in one direction. A few more and he was able to do more, travel faster, push himself with the currents. He didn't know why he didn't get hungry. (Later on he discovered what he actually looked like in that form. And figured out that the shell allowed water to pass through, and with it nutrients from the sea.) It took a few weeks before he figured out how to hold water to himself, a sort of amoeba body around himself, living almost like an octopus along the ocean floor. More in control of his body, he began exploring what he was never able to see before, getting lost in the expanses of the ocean. Often he found land. Some looked heavily inhabited, some deserted and small. He could climb into the beach and slowly explore land, needing to learn new methods, new ways of controlling himself out of the water. Finally, he found a still pond, enough to look into and see what he became. Once more, much panic ensued. Time was lost as he struggled to figure out what was going on. He didn't know how many days passed before he began to figure out how to get his human body back. Now that he got his human body back, he had to learn how to switch back and forth. Deserted island wasn't quite the place he hoped to first step foot on land. Completely naked. More time passed, learning how to shift back and forth between bodies, and once more he needed to set out and find a populated world. Much wandering followed till he found a ship and enough driftwood to fake being set adrift at sea. Picked up and brought to land, he discovered he wound up in Brazil about eight months since the day he got taken away by the storm. Once he got home, there was quite the crazy party as family and friends greeted him back, having thought he had died. Being so far from home and from other people for so long, he got a little sick of the “do nothing” attitude, and began working on his education. Though he never left the ocean, always returning to the Beach. Even studying on it during the day, and training himself with his new found abilities at night. Many questions were asked about his time gone from the world, but he had no way to explain what happened, stating that he was simply found by the ship. Few believed him, but none could force more out of him. Finally he got his teaching degree in Art Unfortunately, work was difficult to come across, his relaxed surfer boy look made it harder to be taken seriously, with water weight and old speech patterns there hasn't been a school that has hired him yet. Possible Future: Wants to get his name out there in the art world, make money off of his sculptures and find a solid teaching position. Mutation wise, be able to handle a larger body of water, better mastery of shapes, and be more the awesome surfer guy with water skills he can possibly be. If given the chance, he would want to teach young mutants to focus their abilities through art classes that use their powers to make art. Faction: Likely with the X-men if he can get a teaching position with powers. Extra: As stated, Teacher. |

Gatorade? H2O! This character's story and powers flow like, well, water. Everything is locked into place and makes so much sense that I am actually crying. Well. I would be if I ever did such things. An art teacher will be an excellent addition to the Xavier community (if he drifts that way), as art can teach mutants how to create rather than destroy with their powers. This is lovely. I approve of this loveliness. |

I've read over it a couple of times just verifying things, and I see nothing wrong either. Very well balanced, and... well, yeah... And Charles will be happy to have another teacher at his school... or would Mystique rather him at Bayville? Hm... that's gonna be the fun debate...
