Driver of the Crazy Train
Given Name: Roman Volkov
Alias: Tempest
Furcadia Alt: Roman Volkov
Species: Mutant
Gender: Male
Age: 20

Mutation: He can control the air around him, creating anything from a light breeze to a storm wind. Potentially, he could create a tornado, but his powers have yet to mature to that level, and will likely take several more years, perhaps even a decade, to do so. His manipulation is only of the movement of the wind, not the actual matter itself, so he cannot separate the chemical components of the atmosphere to simply control pure oxygen, for example. While his control is good, given he's had a good few years to practise, large scale or complicated movement, I.e, moving a wind fast enough and over a wide enough area to blow away a crowd, or making a gust of wind follow a precise path, will require concentration.

Secondary Mutation: He can also turn himself into air. When in this state, he is unable to use his primary ability, mainly because he is focusing it on himself in order to be able to move. He must keep all of his air form connected in order to revert back to normal. If any amount is made inaccessible, such as trapped in an airtight jar, he is stuck in that form. He cannot speak when transformed, nor can he physically grasp anything. He can, however, move at a decent speed, and affect things with the wind that would create.

Physical Description: He is a very tall man, standing at a colossal 6'7", he has a toned, athletic frame and has black hair that is short to mid length and messy, with strands of white showing in places. He has emerald green eyes and a fairly pale but flawless complexion.

Personality: Confident, trickster, attention seeker.

History: Roman was born in Russia, growing up as a normal boy with his parents and older sister. His parents had started to become hostile with each other soon after his birth, and were too busy arguing over the years to pay him much attention. He grew quite close to his older sister, preferring to spend time with her over his parents. His mother seemed to grow to dislike him more and more over the years, making him think that possibly the reason for their breakup was him. He had no idea why, but things came to a head when he was eleven. His mother and father divorced, and his mother took his sister away with her to america, but refused to take him. Left with just his father, who quickly took a turn for the worse and became an alcoholic, Roman tried to find something to do with himself, and soon discovered magic. He found he had a passion, and more importantly, a talent for it. He hungrily devoured any and all magic tricks he could practise, and soon began to devise his own. By the time he turned thirteen he was already an accomplished magician with a truly magical talent for slight of hand tricks in particular. It was around this time that his mother contacted them, saying his sister had run away some months ago and had they seen her. Knowing his sister wouldn't return to Russia, he knew she was still somewhere in America. He put even more effort into his magic, devising new and elaborate tricks that just didn't seem possible in an attempt to gain enough fame and recognition to move to the states. It was an attempt to branch out into daredevil magic that awakened his mutant ability. He was suspended horizontally in a straight jacket over a bed of spikes, with the rope suspending him slowly burning away. At least, that was the idea. His newest assistant hadn't properly treated the rope to slow the burning and he felt the rope begin to give far too soon. He panicked, but when the rope gave way, all that landed on the spikes was a suddenly empty jacket. The crowd, quite naturally, was amazed, but so was he. He could see the world around him, but he couldn't feel his body as it should be. It just felt like he was a cloud. Trying to move off the spikes, he floated instead to another part of the stage, and as his heart calmed down, he suddenly reformed. The crowd applauded what seemed an impossible trick, and being the natural performer he was, he took it in stride and pretended it was all part of the act. After five straight years of building his reputation, he had gained the fame, funds and more importantly, legal age necessary to make the move and go in search of his sister. During that time, he'd managed to learn to control his transformation, and learn how to use his power to control the wind around him. He based himself in Las Vegas to begin with, as money was easy to make there as a good magician, but he spent most of his free time searching state after state, hoping to find a trace of his sister. He hit on a newspaper archive that mentioned her name in connection with another missing person, and after asking the boy's parents for any possible info, he had the slightest of leads. They knew of his mutant ability and told him of it. He used that information and started investigating any unusual gemstones that turned up recently. The stones turned up in random stores all over, but he soon traced the most recent and numerous appearances to Bayville. So he moved there, hoping to finally find his sister.

Possible Future: Roman wants to find his sister before anything, but I imagine once that's done he'll want to try and figure out what to do with himself, as well as continue to perfect his magic. That and try and have some sort of social life.
Faction:None. He might join the carnival due to his magic being a popular attraction though. [I can see the dollar signs in Ana's eyes already.]
Extra: Roman was pretty famous by the time he left Russia, at least in magic circles. Anyone that has a character that's a fan of magic would probably recognise him.

I'm glad you included things he may be able to do in the future, but that he might not be able to use at first. I think that's good and helps you to figure out where to take them in the future. Simple and do the point, I don't see any issues here. Approved
