Within the quiet forest of Gaia, the main forest that bordered the Earth Village, an event that took place in the past was about to take form in the time of the here and now. The Crystal Lake, one of the purest water sources in the area, had held a secret within its depths for the last three years, a secret that was about to be unveiled. The winds began to blow gently as the creatures of the forest sang their songs, and the lake began to ripple as something stirred underneath. A bright glow illuminated from the depths of the lake as it made its way toward the surface. If any where around to behold the site, they would be struck in awe. A bright and massive eight pointed crystal rose from the lake, and for a moment held itself aloft above the rippling water as it let out a soothing, beautiful harmonic sound that could be heard for miles. Slowly this item of light moved itself forward toward the shore line, holding within a precious cargo, one that held many stories within of good vs evil, and the sacrifices of war. The crystal slowed itself until it reached the shore line before coming to a complete stop. For a few moments it hung in suspended animation in the air, only its light and song giving any hint of life. Then, the crystal began to shine brightly as its harmonic sound grew in volume, but never to uncomfortable levels. A bright flash erupted, causing the crystal of light to disappear, leaving behind a form of a young man, surrounded by an aura of light, though one viewing him now would believe it to be an angel awakening to the world. As a mother caring for a child, the man slowly floated down to the ground, and when he touched, the aura of light disappeared, and his eyes opened. He looked around, taking in his surroundings before taking a deep breath and letting out a long sigh. “I've been out of it for way too long...” The man then began going through a wave of stretches as he loosened the joints in his body. “Well, guess that's your own fault for becoming an evil bastard, Kieran Kassel.” He said to himself as he finished his stretches. Taking another deep breath, he turned to the lake that he had been placed in. Closing his eyes, he placed his hands in the way one would for a prayer. “Latina...thank you for saving me...I swear to you I will redeem myself for the sins I have committed...and breath light into this world, and myself, before I ever attempt to leave.” 'I hear you're prayer, and will hold you to your word. As our souls are now bound, so too are the powers of the priestess of light now yours to command. Use your power of light to heal those who have been injured...heal the wounds of the dark war...and help bring peace to this world, once again.' Kieran gasped as he heard the voice of one who he once loved. He looked around, and when he saw no one around, he just gave a shrug. “Well...that was unexpected...I thought most people just ignored me altogether...” 'Oh, be serious for once, Kieran!' The voice yelled at him, and although no one was present, he could almost swear someone smacked him over the head. “Ow...that hurt...” Kirean moaned as he rubbed his head, but then at that moment a smile appeared on his face. “Don't worry, I'll do my best for the world...and for your sake as well. You have my word.” Then, a faint figure of a feminine body began to illuminate before Kieran, and the young spell warrior could make out the figure outlined by the magic of light. It was Latina, and she was smiling at him. 'I know you will Kieran. Be strong, as I am one with you, I lend my power to you as well. I will be watching over you now. Should the dark powers try to attack you once more, I will do my best to help you fight them off.' The spellwarrior nodded and gave a smile. “Thank you, Latina. Thats quite reassuring, knowing that you are still with me. We'll save this world together, just like we promised we would.” He then rubbed his head a bit and looked at her with a now sheepish smile. “Just don't hit me anymore, m'kay?” The girl gave a small giggle as she looked at the man she had fallen in love with. 'I think I can manage that.' She then gave a small bow. 'I leave the rest to you...my love.' And with that, she vanished from view. Kieran looked to the sky with new determination in his eyes as he placed his hands on his sword hilt and shield. “This is a start of a new journey. Lets see what kind of trouble I can cause, eh?” |

Kieran Kassel took a deep breath and looked around. “Alright, time to gather some supplies.” He said to himself. He began going around some of the trees in the area, checking their health, durability, age, and strength of their wood. It didn't take him long to quickly realize that the strongest of the trees in the immediate area were the ones that bordered the lake. Finding the thickest and largest tree in the area, he began touching the wood, testing its smoothness, its hardiness. Then in a split moment he pulled out his shield and brought its triangle edge against the tree, swinging as hard as he could. The sound of metal striking wood echoed through the area as Kieran grunted from the pain he now felt in his arm. Through the pain, he smiled successfully to himself. “If this isn't ironwood, or something to its equivalent, then I don't know what it is.” He said as he looked where his shield had struck. The shield, even with the strength he put behind it, was barley able to cut an inch into the trunk. Kieran then used his good hand and placed it on the trunk of the tree where he had made the cut, closed his eyes, and concentrated. For a full minute he stood perfectly still, holding the place where he had struck the tree, until finally, there was a small flash of light. Kieran opened his eyes and chuckled. “Not quite like Ironwood, but it is similar. This will do perfectly.” Taking a deep breath, he focused his inner energy, touching upon an old technique learned by his people long ago. Small waves of energy began to pulsate through the spellwarrior as transparent wings began to appear on his back. Similar in color and design of the crystal that had held him, Kieran effortlessly pushed himself off the ground and propelled himself into the air. Reaching the mid point of the tree, he began testing the branches durability when, without warning, his wings disappeared. “Oh...this can't be good...” He said right before he began sky rocketing toward the ground. Only through quick reaction was he able to grab onto a branch, and he found himself dangling over the ground. “So my wings are sealed too?! Oye this is bloody wonderful.” He complained allowed as he began climbing the tree slowly, going back to the work he had originally set out to do. Skillfully jumping and climbing branch to branch, he tested the wood again and continued searching the tree carefully until he found a branch that would suit his needs. Touching the large branch, his powers activated one again, causing the branch to fall. He caught it and activated his wings again to carry him down to the bottom where his equipment was. He set the branch down and counted until his wings disappeared. “So, they only last fifteen seconds eh? Hmm, I also wonder if there is a limit to how many times I can use them...” He asked himself, and he gave a shrug. “Well, guess I'll find out the hard way eventually.” He then looked at the large branch that he had acquired. It was at least his size in length, with multiple smaller branches sticking out of them. He walked over and picked one of the leafs and rubbed it between his fingers a few times. “This should work nicely.” Walking to the middle of the large branch, he called upon his mystical, natural power again and touched the branch. A bright light engulfed the area for a few moments, before disappearing. When Kieran looked at his work, he smiled. Where a simple branch had once been, now lay a nice, well crafted bow with multiple arrows sitting next to lit, along with a large quiver. “Ah, but I'm not done just yet...” He said, gathering the arrows that he had created. Their tails consisted of the leafs from the tree, while the smaller branches made the body, but they had no sharp points. At least not yet. He then walked over to the lake he had come from and looked around carefully. He then spotted a small stream that the lake flowed into and out of, and around it were plenty of rocks. Finding a very durable one wasn't difficult, and was about to use a simple large stone when a gleam caught his eye. Curiosity getting the better of him, he decided to check it out. in the middle of the stream, he was able to find something that looked and felt like an obsidian stone. Smiling, he carefully stuck the top of the arrows into the water and touched the stone with them. A few seconds later, the black rock was smaller then it was before, and now all of the arrows had sharp points to them. Satisfied with his efforts, he collected all of his items, filled his water skin with some of the pure lake water, did a quick check up of his supplies, and nodded to himself. “All set. Now I just need to figure out where I should go.” Calling upon his memory, he remembered that there was a town not far from this area, to the west of his location. Kieran began walking in that direction when he stopped. “Wait, when did I...ah, never mind.” Shaking it off, he set off to begin his journey. |

A young boy walked down the road leading away from the Village of Earth, carrying a long golen staff like a walking stick. He was wearing a white and purple headband with a metal magic symbol on it, as well as sporting a white T-shirt, covered by a long dark blue overcoat with magical patterns running down it. His pants were white slacks with black magical patterns running down the sides. Along with that, he was lso wearing a white glove on his left hand. Flashback... "Mespita? I'm sorry, but Mespita fell over about a year ago." "It fell?" "Yes, its ruler brought it's downfall." "I see, well, thank you anyway." End of Flashback... His dark brown hair blew in the wind, showing his dark brown eyes. "Mespita has fallen. I must find its crash site so that I can pay my respects." He looked over as he came close to a lake, seeing a person who was walking in the direction he was coming from. He decided to put that person aside and walk down towards the lake, sitting down at lakeside, resting his staff across his lap. He gazed at the water, as if he were reading into it, his eyes looking as if they were gazing straight through it. |

Kieran ran through a mental checklist of things he would need to learn once he get to the village. He would have to collect more food and travel supplies since he didn't have much on him to begin with, and he would have to figure out the state of the world without being to obvious. The biggest thing he needed to learn was how much more power the Dark King had gained, and how much time had he been out of the loop. There were quite a many things he needed to figure out, and he needed to figure them out soon. So when he saw someone traveling in his direction, he felt luck was on his side, though his hand didn't stray far from the hilt of his sword. He decided to walk up to the traveler and see what he could learn. "Greetings fellow traveler; could I take a moment of your time? I've found myself lost and I have some questions I would like to ask, if you don't mind of course. Ah, my name is Kieran Kassel by the way, nice to meet you." He said, extending his right arm, while his left still stayed near his weapon in case things went bad. |

Settan looked over as Keiran walked over to him and introduced himself, asking if he could ask some questions. He got to his feet and shook Keiran's hand, "Settan Horigoshi, pleased to meet you. And no, I don't mind." After he shook Keiran's hand, he placed his hand to his side, making sure to keep his other hand on his jeweled staff, just in case Keiran decided to attack. |

"Right then, a pleasure to meet you." He said, shaking the mans hand in earnest. "Anyways, first things first is that I need to figure out where I am, and further more where the nearest town is so I can restock on supplies and food, since the stuff likes to run out every now and then, ya know?" As Kieran finished asking his question, he noticed the jeweled staff that Settan held close to him. "Thats a nice weapon you got there, Settan. Looks well crafted, from the looks of things, and I'd wager the thing is useful in a fight. Guess one still needs weapons in this time and age, what with all the loony bandits, monsters, and wanna-be dictators...which reminds me, what is the Dark King up to anyway? Still causin' untold trouble no doubt?" |

Settan's face fell serious for split second, the question about the Dark King hitting a sensitive spot inside him. He quickly put it aside and answered Cenkic's questions, "Well, if you are looking for the nearest town, the Earth Village is down this road in that direction..." He pointed in the direction opposite of where Cenkic was heading, "As for my staff, yes, it is useful, but I prefer to rely on my own strength, rather than having to channel it through this." He then answered the final question regarding the Dark King, "Well, I don't really know. I just got word that about a year ago, his kingdom fell. I'm sorry, but that's about all I know on that subject." |

At hearing that the Dark King had fallen, a visible smile, and look of relief could be seen on Kierans face. "So he's gone eh? Well thats the best news I've heard all day. Only a shame I couldn't take him down myself...ah well, what can one do right?" The man gave an shrug as he looked across the lake, a look of remorse on his face. He remembered well the many comrades that he had come to call friend on this world as he had worked along side them to try and destroy the Dark King...only to end up betraying them all as the powers of shadow and darkness had corrupted the spelllwarrior. He pushed the thoughts aside as he spoke again. "The past is the past and there isn't much we can do to change that. Best we can do is remember it and move on into the future with both feet forward and our head held high, right?" As he turned to Settan, his features changed to that of a questionable look as his head began to look up and passed the man he was talking to. "Tell me, does a large amount of smoke usually come from the earth village, or can I guess that is a bad sign?" |

Settan listened as he heard Keiran sound relieved that the Dark King was defeated. As he asked if smoke coming from the village was normal, he nodded, "Yeah, smoke rises often in the Earth Village. It's because they use fire a lot to cook food and other things." Settan stopped as he just read his words, "Wait, that's the Fire Village. Oh no." He picked up his staff and rushed towards the Earth Village. He removed the white glove from his left hand and placed it into his pocket, his aura strengthening to the point that it could be seen. He closed his eyes, extending his pointer and middle finger outwards, drawing a symbol in the air, "Wind Ride." His body dissipated into the wind, reappearing in the Earth Village. He strapped his staff to his back as his hands glowed, "KLet's see, the smoke is coming from...there!" |

A man walked slowly through the village. Not moving for anyone or thing. He would not move for a person nor a carriage drawn by horses. A man bumped into him, and jumped back. "Watch where you are going?" shouted the man. "If you would keep your eyes ahead of you then on the woman around you you would not run into people," Horo said placidly. The man blushed, but punched at Horo's face. Then his head was missing. Horo had drawn his blade and cut the man's head off before he had known. Horo nodded approvingly, and walked on. The people around him began to scream, and shout. Horo's lips curved into a dark smile though hidden by his dark cloak. This was going to be fun. |

Settan ran in the direction of the smoke, seeing a bunch of people running the other way, "Well, this is definitely not how the Earth Village was when I was around." He bent down as he saw a decapitated body, "Well, this might be a problem. But from what I can tell, this guy wasn't a normal resident of the Earth Village, plus...he seems to have been drunk." He sighed and looked over at someone with a dark cloak with a evil smile on his face. Settan raished a finger, a blanket coming over and covering the man. His face turned serious as he saw a bunch of people just standing around and screaming in fear. He closed his eyes, his visible aura flaring as the energy pushed people into buildings. The doors closed as the people went in, eventually stopping as all of the people were cleared from the scene. "So, I'm guessing you're the one causing trouble around here?" Settan placed held his staff and placed the bottom end on the ground. His dark blue aura was visible and flaring. His eyes had narrowed and taken on a serious personality. |

Horo did not turn, nor did he answer. He just kept walking his hand on the hilt of his sword. He was still grinning under his cloak. |

Settan kept siletn after saying that. He flicked his finger, a wind bullet shooting over, made to hit Horo in the back of the head. His hand clenched his staff, already ready for a counter attack. |

The wind split between his head, and went past him splitting in two. "Come now Magic Settan. You can do much better than that. Or are you still....half of a whole," Horo asked. He let out a bone chilling laugh, and continued walking. |
