My house was broken into today. They didn't leave with anything because I don't own anything that's easily pawnable. I will be installing a security system here in the next couple of weeks. There's apparently been a few break ins in and around the area, and the boys in blue here are pretty good at catching them pretty quickly. There's a lot of higher priced real estate around where I live but here in Jacksonville FL. there's ghetto intermixed with really nice neighborhoods.

I'll keep you all posted, and it's quite possible I can get a hosted site. I have a few friends that work in IT, and they may have a secure building I can store the unit in. I'll have to pay of course, but I think it'll be worth it if it comes down to that.

That sucks. They do much damage?
How funny would it be to have to file that claim with your insurance...
"All they took way my bitcoin miner..." You all know what their answer to that would be.... "What's a bitcoin miner?"

They broke a window, that's about all. Almost found 400 dollars in a desk drawer but I hid it under some items. As far as I know they stole nothing because I only have broken computers except for my scrypt miner and a few vintage PC's. Nothing they can pawn easily. And my place is already trashed so it's not like they messed it up looking for stuff, haha.

I doubt I could file a claim anyway, my insurer is a bunch of jackasses. Probably drop me as soon as I file one, and I need to clear some foliage anyway, I have a week or two to get that done and send them some photos. Something about tree's contacting the house and whatnot. Bloody ponces.

It is a fortune out of misfortune. Hope that they will be caught soon. If you are installing a security system, a few IP cams will make it easier to catch the thief.

Q: What is a bitcoin miner?
A: A money generator.
