It got cold again and the board lost 2 out of 4 cores again. I fiddled with the SPI Voltage to 1.75 and got the bottom 3 working. This unit as it starts will activate the top two, as it warms up the bottom 3 cores will turn on and the top one will remain inactive unless the temperature reaches around 58c. I tried everything to get core 0 to turn on, but it just won't unless I use nothing short of a hairdryer to warm it up. I have the door closed in the room to help the heat build, hopefully it'll solve the issue. I did what I can, but for now it's running at 75%. |

Update: I pulled one of the fans in the front and let it run for a while on 3 cores to get the internal temp up. I just did a restart on auto SPI voltage and I managed to jump start the first core. All 4 are running now, hopefully I can keep it going like that for a time. |

I am fiddling with individual voltages, spi frequency, blocking the CPU fans and the chassis fans to keep these things running. Some chassis fans are unplugged and some aren't. Some cpu fans are unplugged and some aren't. Some fans are blocked and some aren't. Every board behaves differently and it's a total pain to keep them all on. I think the 6-fan fan controller I bought will help (if it ever gets here). It turns off until a preset temp is reached and then turns on until it cools back down. So never too hot and never too cold. |
