Name: Ceara Race: Nord Age: 20 Gender: Female Sign: The Warrior Faction: Unaligned Rank: N/A Appearance: ![]() Ceara is a proud Nordic woman. She is easily identified by her fiery red hair that she keeps long, reaching down her back, often tying it in a ponytail. She stands at 5'6" and is only about 135 lbs, but she is much stronger and tougher then her appearance would let on. She is beautiful in a athletic way and her body is muscular, a result of her intense training as a child. Armor/Clothing: She can often be seen in leather, well, scraps. She doesn't own any armor, just the clothes on her back when she was left Skyrim. Weapons: Two one-handed steel axes along with an Iron spear that she inherited from her father and a short bow, with a few iron arrows in a quiver. Possessions: She only carries her weapons and the clothes on her back, stealing or hunting for food. Personality: The first, most noticeable trait about Ceara is that she is socially inept...Completely so in fact, her early life was much more devoted to fighting then it was to making friends or really talking for that matter. She is what you would call a severe introvert. She is not trusting of others and has few people skills, in fact, most she meets think she's mute. The second thing one will notice about Ceara is that she is wild. She prefers the outdoors and the rural to the urban. She is a wild in more then just the environment she chooses, being quick to anger and quiet a handful when she loses her tempter, which can be often. She is also, for those that get to know her, which there are few that do, is that she is a fighter. She never gives up, always fighting to survive and conquer. That doesn't mean she goes into a fight blind, she doesn't rush into battle, but she never exactly shies away from a fight either. She is naturally quick minded, picking up physical cues easily, but at the same time, one could not call her book smart. Bio: Ceara was born in Skyrim to her father, a soldier named Raddin, and her mother, a huntress named Sotte. Her mother had met her father when he was traveling through her town as a mercenary. He was scouring the woods around the town for food along with a fellow soldier. It was getting late and they had gotten lost when they were attacked by a pack of wolves. The two soldiers fought valiantly, but they were out numbered and Raddin's companion was killed. Raddin knew he could not take all of them, but he was never one to back down from a fight, so he readied himself for his death by charging forward to attack. It was then that several arrows rained through the woods and killed three of the wolves. Raddin almost didn't notice as he was fighting with the leader of the pack, but out of the corner of his eye he saw another arrow fly and strike the wolf he was fighting in the eye. The wolf howled in pain and with it's attention not on Raddin, he stabbed the wolf in the throat with his sword. The remaining wolves scattered, their leader dead. It was then that Sotte appeared in front of Raddin, bow in hand and ready to kill him. Raddin was so enamored with the huntress' beauty that he didn't even raise his sword as she spoke, asking him why he was poaching in these woods. Raddin's head cleared and he explained his predicament, Sotte realized he was the man that the soldiers in town had come looking for, after they could not find Raddin. She escorted him back to town. It was then that Raddin decided to leave his wandering ways and stayed in the small village for almost four years. They stayed together and became lovers, Sotte feeling as attracted to Raddin as he felt for her. After the second year, Raddin began to grow restless, longing to return to the military but Sotte was the only reason for him to stay, and reason enough it was. So he stifled the impulse to return to the life of a soldier. Instead he spent his time with Sotte learning to hunt and training endlessly in his fighting disciplines, anything to take his mind of being away from the fights that seemed so prevalent in Skyrim. It was during the third year of their time together that Sotte was found to be with child, she was over joyed, as was Raddin, he looked forward to having a family to come home to each day, and someone to pass his knowledge on to. After nine months the pair gave birth to Ceara, but all was not rosy as the family thought. Just before the child was about to be born, the town they were living in was attacked by bandits. Raddin was off away from town when it had happened. When he returned he found his house had been ransacked and his wife lay on the ground outside there burning home, crying. Raddin rushed to her side and found her bleeding, the terror she felt triggering labor. The baby was born there, on the ground outside of the burning home. Sotte would not survive the labor, but the baby did, the last thing that Raddin's wife said to him before passing was to protect the baby. Raddin's emotions were at odds, his grief for his lover was great, but his happiness that she would live on in their child made him hopeful. To say that Raddin loved his child was an understatement, but he was not a dotting kind of man, and as he saw his daughter as precious, he saw the world as a cruel place, one which he could not protect his daughter from forever. He decide the best way to keep her safe was to teach her how to protect herself. Raddin began teaching her from the moment she could learn that the world was a cruel place, and that the only way she'd survive was by fighting as hard as she could. They lived in the Mountains of Skyrim for the first few years of her life. Raddin often hunted with the baby tied to him with a papoose like strip of leather that he tied her to him with. She grew up on the hunt, learning the basics from her father was her earliest memories. They lived in the wild for most of Ceara's life, only going into town to sell furs and meat that they gathered on the hunt. Raddin never liked to stay in one place for too long, thinking that someone unfriendly might find them. He even thought deep down that the bandits were still trying to steal Ceara. He kept her on a short leash in those early years, even when she learned to walk, he always kept her close, especially in town, never letting her stray far from him. Ceara began to learn to fight from Raddin as soon as she could lift a weapon to fight. She had seen her father training as she grew and always wanted to be like him, using sticks like weapons trying to impersonate the movements he would do from age five on. When she was eight she first lifted an axe, this would become her chosen weapon. She would have light spars with her father from that day on, progressively becoming more and more intense as her abilities grew. He always told her that there was only one way to live life in peace and safety, and that was to have the ability to protect yourself. As the years pasted, she grew to be a stronger and faster opponent for her father, who despite the on set of middle age, was still a strong and fast man. He continued to intensify the training of his daughter, knowing that he would not live forever, and when he was gone that she would have to protect herself. His fear for his daughter tended to cause him to hinder her people skills, as even when they were in town he left her little time to make friends or play with other children. He knew that the world was an unforgiving place, and that only through vigilance and discipline would she be able to defend herself, not realizing the adverse effects of such training was having on his daughter. She worked hard and trained all the time, from the moment she woke to the time she went to sleep, and she did realize, to a small extent, the danger the world posed to her, but most of all, she only wished to make her father proud of her. When she turned 10, her body began to change with the onset of puberty. Her father wasn't a dumb man, but it was still difficult for him to explain the changes that young Ceara felt in her body. He tried his best to make the time easier by teaching her more about the world around her and taking some time off training, but it wasn't a particularly good time for her. As these days dragged on, the training resumed and she poured herself into training to take her mind of the odd feelings she began to feel, especially in town when seeing other children, there smiles as they played, she wished she could be one of them at times. Not that she didn't love her father and cherish there time together, but as with everyone, she still wished she could have a friend. One day, when Ceara was twelve, her and her father traveled to Whiterun to trade and for Raddin to buy more supplies. It was during this time that a group of Rebels, attempting to unseat the local Jarl launched a sneak attack on the city. During the attack, a guard who was bribed by the rebels opened the gates of the city, allowing the rebels to attack the market district. During the fight, which Raddin tried to stay out of for his daughters sake, the father and daughter were seperated. As Raddin looked for his daughter, he was drawn into the fight, fighting alongside the city guards against the rebels. Meanwhile, Ceara searched for her father. While searching she was grabbed by a woman who worked in the market district. The woman didn't know Ceara, but was just trying to help the girl find cover. The woman dashed into her home, where her family waited for the fighting to end. Ceara wanted to leave to find her father, but the woman's son, who was around her age, stopped her by holding her hand. Ceara was taken back by the boys gesture, she had never had a friend and as the boy told her it was dangerous outside, she stood dumbstruck, not knowing what to feel. She felt something odd for the boy, like he was special for some reason, but she couldn't place why, just that her stomach felt like it was flipping like a fish when he touched her hand. As the boy asked her who she was and what she was doing in Whiterun, she could only stammer, staring at her hand in his. She finally got her name out of her mouth when someone pounded on the door. It was a town watchman, he said that he was looking for a girl that had gone missing during the fight and her father was scouring the town looking for her. The woman opened the door and asked if what had happened. She was told that the fighting was over and the rebels repelled. It was then that Raddin arrived at the house, and seeing Ceara, he grabbed her and hugged her tight. Raddin thanked the woman for protecting his daughter and she invited them to stay with the family and have a meal. Raddin agreed, and they stayed the night, but Ceara stared at the boy the entire night, he laughed and asked her several times what was wrong, but she'd just look down and stutter out a 'n-nothing'. The boy would laugh and then would go back to what he was doing. Raddin noticed this, and while he didn't want to hurt his daughter, realizing that she had never had any friends, knew they could not stay in Whiterun. When he mentioned that they could stay an extra day, Ceara just insisted they leave right then. After they left Whiterun Ceara began to focus on her training, working harder then ever. It was so much simpler to her then talking to people, and while she liked that curious feeling she got around the boy, she didn't like how difficult it became to form words or keep her hands dry. This would be the closest she came to a friend for the next five years. To say Raddin hadn't noticed that his daughter was what some would call socially inept was putting it lightly, but this run in made him aware of it for the first time. He realized that his daughter should have friends, she was entitled to it, but when they would visit towns, she would just follow him and avoid contact with others at all costs. Raddin wanted to help her break out of her shell, but he just didn't know how as he was far from a people person himself. He just continued to teach her and encourage her to talk to others as best he could. She never took his advice though, avoiding talking to others when they would be in towns. The next few years went smoothly for Ceara and Raddin, they continued to train as they traveled Skyrim in search of game. They crisscrossed the providence several times in those years, the two of them against the world, as Ceara would often imagine it. These where the golden days for her, she grew to love the open and dislike the crowded life in cities. The congestion and...Well, people...Were not her kind of environment. She enjoyed the stillness of nature, that was where she felt at home. When Ceara was nineteen, her life would change drastically. While hunting in the woods, they found a man, beaten, bloody and unconscious. They took the man back to their camp, where they tended his wounds, when the man awoke, he was in a dazed state, yelling about people after him and how he needed to finish his mission. When Raddin asked him about what he was doing, the man just said he had to get away from someone, but who, they couldn't decypher thought the crazed and worried babble of the man. After a few days, they nursed the man back to health. When they asked him what he was doing in the woods he said that he couldn't tell them, for fear of involving the two of them. He thanked them for their help, and asked them to point him towards Solitude. The man was still hurting and they all knew it, so they escorted him against his protests. When they arrived in Solitude things went quickly, the man parted ways with them when they arrived, heading toward the castle keep. Raddin and Ceara headed toward an inn and there they stayed for the night, enjoying the warmth of an inn for a change. It was the dead of night when they were awoken by the man from the woods, he told them that he was in danger and by extension so where they. The Jarl of Solitude was assassinated, and their successor was the culprit. He told them that he was being tracked down and that he was to be killed for what he knew. Raddin was a man that believed in justice, but wasn't a fool, and asked the man for proof. It was then that someone began pounding on their door. The man on the other side told them to come peacefully or they would be taken by force. Raddin was scared for his daughter, so he told her to sneak out the window and wait for him outside of town. When Raddin finally opened the door, town watch burst through the doorway and quickly apprehended both men. The man was screaming about them trying to silence him. As Ceara peared in the window, she saw the guards kill the man. She watched in horror as they arrested her father and carried him out of the inn and toward the keep. Ceara followed the guards and saw them take her father into the jail. Ceara wasn't sure what to do, everything was spinning out of control. The next day she snuck out to the prison area and made contact with her father, entering his cell with the key she had lifted off a guard and that she was breaking him out. Raddin told Ceara that he had been tried and found guilty of sedition by the Solitude Jarl, and he was to be executed. Ceara, he was the only family that she had, she told him to follow her, it wouldn't be long before the guards would come. Raddin stopped her though, telling her that her that he couldn't have her involved, this was out of their control. Ceara wasn't going to go quietly, she knew one thing and that was to fight! It was then that the guards arrived, she readied herself to fight them, but her father grabbed her, picking her up and tossing her through a door. She didn't know what was going on, reaching up for the door, but it was locked, she reached for the key she had stolen from the guard but it was gone, Raddin had taken it from her before he pushed her through the doorway. She pleaded with him to follow her, to escape. Raddin looked at her through the port hole and told his daughter that she was alive, and that she was ready to protect herself, but he wanted her to live. With that final goodbye, he charged the guards, he fought valiantly, but he was cut down nonetheless. Ceara could only watch in horror as her only family was killed. She took one last look at her father's corpse, then ran. When she finally stopped running, she found herself beneath a bridge. She stayed there the night and cried, she cried harder then she ever thought possible all night, and when the morning came, she found she had no more tears left. She wiped her eyes and then headed out. She never wanted to see Solitude again, or any of Skyrim for that matter, bought passage on a ship bound for Morrowind with the money she had left. She didn't look back as she left the providence she had called home her entire life. The ship was heading for Morrowind, but by way of High Rock and Hammerfall, which meant she her money would only get her to Black Marsh. That was fine with Ceara, as long as she was far away from Skyrim. After they had set sail, the cook took as shine to the young girl, offering her extra food. His name was Sabrin Aciciu and he was the captain's brother, both aging Imperials. Ceara was distrustful of him at first, but he explained that she reminded him of his daughter back in Cyrodiil. After the first week, she began to trust the cook. He would always make her a nice meal and talk to her, telling her about his hometown of Anvil and of his wife and daughter. Ceara never spoke to the man during the trip, but would nod and shake her head if "Yes" or "No" was necessary. She never left her room while on the ship, not being much of one for the sea. When they arrived at Thorn, the she found that that was the end of the line, as they were heading back to Skyrim on the next leg. She got off at the Thorn docks, never wanting to return to Skyrim where her family was taken from her. Now twenty years old, she is hardly world weary, but she does know how to fight, which she believes is all she needs to survive. Class: Adventurer (Beserker) Attributes: Agility - 60 Endurance - 75 Intelligence - 40 Luck - 50 Personality - 30 Speed - 80 Strength - 70 Willpower - 60 Skills: Major - Axe - 75 Athletics - 80 Spear - 60 Hand-to-Hand - 60 Unarmored - 70 Minor - Acrobatics - 40 Block - 25 Sneak - 50 Long Blade - 25 Marksman - 25 RP Sample: Ceara looked at the shocked face of her father, had they been sparring, the face would have made her smile, but this was far too serious now for anything like that. They didn't have much time before the guards would realize what was going on. Raddin wasn't moving though, he just stood there. "Did anyone see you Ceara?!" "Of course not. Lets go!" She said, but he didn't seem to move. "You have to run Ceara, if they find out about you they'll have you killed too!" She looked at him with an determined look. "I'm not leaving without you Dad, now come on!" She was relieved as he got up and pushed her out of the cell, following her out. "Ok dad, I left the door open down the hall, they will be coming from the other way. If we hurry they won't be able to stop us in time." She began to run toward the door. She could hear the guards scurrying down the hall. Her ears twitched, they were running out of time, she looked back and she saw Raddin had a distinct limp. "Your going to have to go without me, I can't run like this." She wanted to plant an axe in the guards that worked over her father, but those thoughts had to wait, they needed to get out as fast as possible. I told you I'm not leaving without you!" She could hear the guards catching up, they would have to fight them. She turned to make a stand, but as she did her father kept going. She tightened her grip on her axe, but then her fathers arm went around her midsection. "What are you doing?! Put me DOWN!!" She was thrown through the door way, the door slamming behind her. She stood and pulled at the door. Locked. She reached down for her key but it was gone, she grabbed the bars on the port of the door. Her father was looking at her. "What are you doing?!" "I promised her I'd proteect you, but it seems this will be the last time." "No no no no!" she called to him as he ran the other way, picking up a iron bar as he limped in the direction of the guards. Her eyes began to water as she saw the inevitable, as the guards ran up her father struck one, then another with the iron bar. He even stopped a sword slash from another but then he was tackled into a wall. He threw the guard off him, but just as he did, the first guard stabbed him in the gut with his sword. She stood, dazed for a moment as her father looked at her with his last breath and mouthed, "Run" before he fell to the ground. She couldn't believe it, her father was dead. She heard an arrow whistle by her head as she came back to the world. "There's someone on the wall!" Ceara sprinted as fast as she could, running as two other arrows whizzed by. She made it to the edge of the wall and she dove over the side of the wall down the ladder she had put there for there escape. As she reached a bridge she dove into the water. Coming up below the bridge, she pulled herself up out of the water and curled up into a ball and cried until she fell asleep. Edited by Ziggyx88, Jan 17 2012, 02:49 PM.
