Purify hollows. Steer clear of thugs. Report back to Soul Society immediately. Good luck.....God this guy is a dick. Raven hadn't remembered the last time he even contemplated actually engaging in combat with a hollow. The idea of him fighting a giant monster was quite frankly, frightening. He had never seen one in person. But from the stories he heard, he could infer that they were pretty intimidating, and quite frankly he wasn't that confident in his own abilities. He was nervous, but he was trying his best to hide it. He was trying his hardest to keep himself from shaking, he had never been put in such an intense situation since he had been in the spirit world. The fact that he was engaging this hollow with another Shinigami kinda put him at ease, however that still didn't take away his doubts. It had been awhile since he was last in the Rukongai. The scent here was something dreadful, and something that he had forgot. Walking through the streets of the Rukongai brought back memories. He wondered if he could find the district where the ramen shop he used to work at. To be honest, he had forgotten the district it was on, as well as the street and name of the shop. It had been over 120 years since he worked there, after all. However, one thing he didn't forget was his former wife. He wondered could she still be found in the streets of the Rukongai. From what he heard, the district he was currently stationed in was pretty dangerous. And Shinigami weren't exactly welcomed there. He had to stay alert, and he was. He kept checking his surroundings and stayed on guard for surprise attacks from the local thugs. He was in no way there to bring order to this part of the Rukongai. He was simply there to stop hollows from fucking shit up. But all in all, either one of those choices seemed bad in his eyes. He was currently having a hard time finding the meeting spot where he would find his coworker. Apparently they grouped him with someone from the 7th Division. That's all he was told. He didn't know their name, nor their rank. Hopefully they were someone strong, cause Raven didn't think of himself as strong in any shape or form. I wonder if this is the street? It says we're supposed to meet up 15 minutes ago. Ha, guess I'm late. But I don't see him either. He must be late, after all. It wouldn't be hard to spot another Shinigami around these neighborhoods. Raven sat down on a nearby wooden bench. It was still sunny outside, and the street he was on booming with activity. The rocky terrain housed many wooden constructions, as many civilians walked in "rags" of clothing. Most of them looking like thugs and carrying weapons. Raven looked up at the sky carelessly, he whispered to himself. What am I doing? I should've kept doing paperwork. This is too stressful. He had no confidence. “So this is where you’ve been? Get down from here, I’ve got a task for you” Silence was the only response given as the young male lay basking in the sun on his barracks roof, as the wind swept mildly through his hair, caressing his skin. It was the kind of day that made you happy to be alive, the kind of day that it was only fit to spend enjoying leisurely which was why he was currently employing the ruse that he was asleep in the hopes the currently present annoyance would give up and go away ”Kin!........Kin!!” ”Shaddap, you’re annoying””Ohou, annoying am i? rapidly approaching footsteps could be heard hammering the roof tiles as the presence quickly neared him THUMP!”WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TALKING TO YOUR SUPERIORS LIKE THAT!!! A pained cry and then a surprised yelp were all the man was able to let out as he tumbled down the sloped roof unable to regain his balance before with a crash he landed on the ground below ”ahhh-t-t-t-t” rubbing his head as his body basked in it’s own suffering ”Right, now I’ve got your attention I need you to head out into rukongai. There a group of hollow out there preying on the souls, they’re shouldn’t be anything too dangerous get rid of them quickly and you’ll be back here before you know it.”Don’t wanna” Kin replied with a stubborn childishness to his tone ”Oh really? Then perhaps I should beat a little more sense into you?” in an instant the male was on his feet his hands raised apologetically ”No no it’s fine, im sure I can take care of it” ”That’s much better, you’ll have a partner for this mission from squad 3, you’ll be meeting him in district 64 the last known sighting of the targets in question. If you do well I might even make you something nice for dinner when you get back.”Seriously?? Fried pork rice and dumplings? Well I guess it might not be so bad then” the young man for the first time actually sounding interested in the task before turning on his heel and sprinting out of the compound ”Oh and kin!.................don’t die the last part of her sentence muttered as she realized the man had already left ear shot. Exiting the gates of the seretie it was not long before he was reminded just why he had entered it in the first place, poverty surrounded him everywhere and while he didn’t like it what he liked even less was the fact that there was nothing you could do but dwell in the fact it was unchangeable, that this poverty would always be here and you simply couldn’t help everyone. It was a constant reminder of just how powerless they really were…nothin short of depressing. Fortunately it wasn’t too far too his destination, and passing through the arid wasteland didn’t take all too long before he found the signpost that labeled this place as the district he was looking for, though to be honest without it he would have been screwed, the whole damn place looked identical with the exception of a few more shaved dudes with makeshift weapons as you got into the rougher areas, the ones he remembered fondly as home. Though there was one individual in the midst of things that stood out, one that was wearing a uniform similar to his and more than likely the same man he was supposed to be joining up with upon arrival. Walking up behind the man he heard the admission of disinterest in the task which seemed to match his view completely so figuring he was in likeminded company it seemed only natural to mess with him. Sneaking up from the rear he slipped an arm round the mans throat and growled into his ear ”Gimmie all your coin, ya damn shinigami” |

Much to Raven's dismay, it had appeared that he was in the process of getting robbed. Or at least, an attempt of getting robbed. What was funny to Raven was the fact that he had no "coin" to give to the poor man. So in all, it was a futile effort by the robber. Not that Raven was going to let him get away with the attempt anyhow. Adrenaline quickly rushed through the Shinigami's veins at the conclusion of the man's sentences, and he didn't think twice before reaching for his blade. He quickly shrugged the man off of him before turning into a full 360 degree motion towards the man, while simultaneously unsheathing his sword. Raven was a bit impressed with his reaction time, not that it was anything special, but the difference between now and one hundred years ago was clearly noticeable. As you can imagine, the robbery attempt caused a bit of commotion in the surrounding area. Every thug stopped what they were doing to see Raven aggressively unsheath his sword.....towards another Shinigami. Raven's eyes quickly fell as he realized the very same. He let his guard down and straight faced the man. Before saying in a deflated tone. Really? Raven was a bit disappointing by the signs of maturity, or the lack their of. Here they were in the Rukongai, and the man had the nerve to play a cruel prank on him. It was unforgivable, and unprofessional and Raven was kinda angry by the man's joke. So, I'm assuming you're the man from the 7th Division. He paused for a moment, placing his sword back within his scabbard. He closed his eyes while doing so, while directing his head towards the ground before saying in a calm voice. Nice first impression. He said sarcastically. Before placing his eyes on the Shinigami's stature. The man was a tad taller than Raven and sported a black eye patch, along with long blonde hair. Off looks alone the guy came off as playful to Raven. The people around them went back to what they were doing, after realizing how much the situation loosened up. Raven could even hear some punk in the background saying. Tsk. I'd pay to see a Shinigami kill one another. Raven swallowed his spit before looking around himself. Making sure that no one was really trying to assault him while his guard was down. By the looks of things, Raven's partner would only make things more complicated on this long, and stressful day. Feeling the man drop low as his head slipped through the lock he head the drawing of a katana which was enough to make him skip backward to put a little distance between them just incase he was the cut first ask later type. Fortunately it seemed he was far more level headed than that and all he received upon revelation of the mysterious assailant was a look of dismay rather than actual anger, to which he replied with a beaming smile and a single greeting hand hanging in the air ”Yo”. The man across from him had harsh linear features, which were only made more poignant by the pursed lips of his unamused expression. All in all he seemed dismayed as he sheathed his sword once more, questioning probably in the hopes he’d say no weather he was in fact the man from the seventh division. All round this guy seemed like no fun though he was willing to give him at least the benefit of the doubt they’d only just met, perhaps he just scared really easily, or was just generally awkward, either way they didn’t know each other well enough for him to write the guy off just yet. ”Yup, that’s me. Kin Ryoshi. Who are you?” In the background he could hear someone offer to pay to see shinigami take one another on, always nice to see you were popular with the people you put your life on the line to protect, lucky he didn’t do this job for the gratitude eh? Come to think of it why the hell did he do this job, it was so much woooooork. The countless other ways he could be spending a sunny afternoon began to seep into his thoughts sending a wistful smile across his face. But alas that wasn’t his reality and this was, spose he’d just have to make the best of it and look forward to fried rice when he got back. |

Raven Hazuki. Raven said in reply to the man introducing himself. He figured that it'd be best if they hurried up and completed the mission and get the day over with. After all, he didn't want to spend an entire day in the Rukongai. He wanted to leave when the sun was still out. Even with Shinigami training he knew a group of things would be able to overpowered him if the amount of them was right. He was pretty sure the man he was working with was aware of the dangers of the Rukongai as well. So he didn't take time out to warn him about it, because he thought it'd be futile and a waist of time on both sides. Raven once more looked around the area, it was still flooding with activity, and there were no signs of Hollows about. It was just the usual thugs, poor, and young running about. It's been 100 years and things really haven't changed at all. He said to himself. Anyways. We should get down to it. There's some hollows in this area that's been terrorizing the citizens here. Personally, I find it odd that someone in this district would report this news to the Soul Society. But I guess we can walk around and see what we find. Couldn't hurt, you know? Raven began to walk away from the man slowly, awaiting confirmation. Either way, he was going to go straight into the investigation. Raven walked towards a man leaning against the wall of a small merchant shop. He had a toothpick in his mouth, wore rags, and was skinny as hell. He wasn't intimidating, so Raven decided to start there. After all, he didn't want to ask a huge thug that could pick a fight with him for no logical reason. So he went with the weakling. I'm from the 3rd Division of the Gotei 13. I'm here to investigate the sudden appearances of hollows in this area. Have you heard anything regarding this matter? Seen a hollow? Please, I need all the information from you I can get. The man chuckled to himself a little, before looking up at Raven with an intense stare. Yeah. This part of the Rukongai gets terrorized alright. I can't tell you about it though. Otherwise, "it" would kill me. Raven was surprised to see the amount of fear the hollow had caused. The fact a man from the Rukongai was scared to speak on a matter made it painfully obvious to Raven that this hollow was sort of a big deal, and he could now see why they reported it to the Soul Society. This was going to be bothersome, it wasn't "hollows" it was just one hollow judging by the way the man said it. How many of them are their? Raven was extracting all he could get from the man. Many. Now leave me alone before you get me killed. The man began to walk away, while doing so he muttered in a clearly annoyed tone. Shinigami Bastards. |

Curt, just about the only word he had to describe his new found partner. Chatting and pleasantries didn’t seem to be his thing, instead a simple one word awnser was all he gave in reply. Or at least that’s what he thought at first, but it seemed the man was merely surveying his surroundings, from the moment the pair had arrived their mission had in fact begun after all, perhaps it was actually just that he was slacking? Work never had been his strong point, he was still fairly unsure just how he was going to handle this, objectively the task seemed fairly simple investigate and eliminate, not so hard right. But honestly with all he did to avoid work he had very little experience combat wise aside from the theoretical and the odd mandatory trip to the practice fields, was he really ready to face a live enemy that was looking to kill him. Ahhhhhh well no use worrying about it, he’d cross that bridge when he came to it, maybe they’d get lucky and the bastards would have scarpered before they could even locate them. ”The fact they did might just indicate how bad things have gotten” speaking the words absent mindedly whilst gazing around before drifting into a sigh, he scratched the back of his head with a lost expression upon its face ”it’d be nice if we knew who reported it though, these guys really don’t look like they wanna talk to us.” Raven was the first to take action approaching a nearby man as he lazed by a battered husk of a shop immediately questioning the thuggish looking civilian. The response they received was less than desirable and just like the last voice they’d heard this one seemed just as opposed to their intervention. ”So you want us to kill you instead?” a threatening expression overtaking his face for an instant ”Wha? ………..just kidding breaking out in a smile while waving a dismissive hand ”But really I didn’t realize the residents of this districts were such cowards, too scared of some hollow to even let us get rid of it. If it’s like that maybe we’d be better off leaving you too it. No use trying to help people that don’t want to help themselves eh? Looking away from the man as though he’d already cast him aside ”Who you calling a coward bastard??! You shits come in here actin all high and mighty after leaving us at their mercy for this long, and now you expect us to be all smiles that you decided to bother doing something Kin’s expression turned serious and thoughtful only for the man to drop into a bow to the man before him ”Your right, to have even let one person die was an unforgivable failure on our part, on behalf of the 7th division I apologise, please tell us where they are so I can do a little towards making up for it” As a member of the division in charge of rukongai relations he did feel some personal responsibility for the situation but more than that he remembered the terror of living out here well, the helplessness of being powerless to fight back against the murderous beings. ”What’re ya doing man, stand up yer makin me feel awkward. Tch, you bastards can’t do anything on your own, whenever they come in it’s always from the east, if you head that ways you should at least catch there trail, now get the hell outta here before people see me talkin to ya His tone forcedly resenting but the fact he’d given them the information the needed testament enough to his change of heart ”Thanks, you can leave the rest to us a wide grin on his face as he turned and headed in the indicated direction. |

He was kinda angry about the information he had gathered from the man. It didn't give them any new information, other than the fact they were legit scared of the thing terrorizing them. Shortly after Raven got done questioning the Rukongai passerby, Kin started doing the same. However his method was completely different from the one Raven used. Instead he played a cruel joke on the man and manipulated his fragile mind into giving him Intel. Apparently the hollows were located on the East block of the district. Now that they knew the whereabouts of the group of hollows terrorizing the district, they could now execute a plan. Raven was impressed by the man's ability to manipulate the mind of others. It seemed like he had some use after all. Although his tactics were kinda questionable. At the end of the day he got the job done, so Raven couldn't complain. He had took the very same route that Raven took, but did it more successfully. Raven was a bit jealous to be honest, he wished he had it in him to use such methods to extract information from others. Ah, looks like you're useful after all. Anyways, let's head East. I don't wanna be here all day. I got plans later on at the bar. Raven was in a hurry, tonight they was going to be high ranking Shinigami in his favorite bar who took trips to the real world. They were to tell the others all about the human world, and how great it was. The human world was something Raven was always interested in, and he damn sure wasn't going to miss story time for this bullshit. Raven began to walk towards the east block of the Rukongai. In a matter of a few minutes he had met his destination. There were no hollows in sight, but the environment was kinda weird. There was debris everywhere and there was no one walking around or anything, despite all the buildings surrounding the area. Looks like the Hollows scared away all the people from this area. Kinda weird, don't you think? Raven said to his partner from the 7th Division. Raven then took out his notepad, and jotted down the mission's progress so far. He had to give an in-depth report of all the events after all. While doing so, a young man tapped Raven on the shoulder. He had a gentle face, blue eyes, short brown hair, and wore a orange open chested vest, along with a pair of martial artist slacks, he was bare foot. What struck Raven the most was the fact the boy carried a blade, while looking to be just reaching adolescence. Excuse me sir. But if you're looking for the monsters terrorizing this district, then you'll have to wait till the sun goes down. Raven looked at the boy and sighed, why did he have to do his first mission on this exact day? Ah, I figured that they wouldn't show in mid-daylight. Anyways, who are you? Raven asked out of curiosity. My name is Shin the hero! The protector of District 64! Raven looked at the boy who fist pumped after his exclaiming. His eyes fell as he gave the boy a deflated look. Uh, okay? How are you a hero again? Easy. I protect this place from hollows. Everyone knows me! I defeated a hollow that a Shinigami died trying to fight. Oh god. Apparently a Shinigami assigned to deal with hollows in this area was murdered. This was troubling to say the least for Raven. He didn't want to die, he had a lot to live for, or so he thought. Alright, Shin i- It's Shin the Hero! Once again, Raven gave the boy the same facial expression. Okay, Shin the Hero. It looks like you can be of some use to me and my partner. How about we stick with you until night, so you can direct us to some of these hollows? Raven asked nicely. Hmm...What's in it for me?I'll give you 10 yen. The boy smiled before proposing. Make it 100 and we have a deal! 50! Take it or leave it. Fine. But don't act surprised when I lead you into the same fate the last Shinigami here was dealt with. With the information gently coaxed from the stranger they at last had a starting point for this enigma of a mission. They’d been given the barest bones when it came to detail but from what he was hearing he was starting to think it was simply lack of reconnaissance rather than lazy briefing. There just wasn’t any information to give them. Still even now all they had was a direction and a vague notion that there were several opponents involved, not the best level of intel to be entering a lift risking situation with. That said Kin never had been much of a tactician, he was more a hands on kind of guy crossing bridges as he came to them which could often leave him in compromising positions but not enough for him to change. The mans eyes took on a wistful look to them, gazing absentmindedly into the distance as he let out a mild sigh ”what I wouldn’t give for a bottle of sake and a pretty lady right now” the man’s mention of the bar almost instantly snaring his attention. Though it wasn’t particularly bars themselves he enjoyed, though they did make for an incredibly fruitful hunting grounds for any single male, it was more drinking in general. The environment was as interchangeable as the beverage that went with it but while the settings might change, his love for booze never did it fostered all his best memories. Despite how desolate it had been the direction they took was even more deserted, the buildings continued but they seemed all but abandoned, scraps of cloth billowing in the breeze used to cover the shattered remains of empty window frames, cracks and chips were rife in the structures and they looked as though they had gone untended for months let alone seen human intrusion, it was indeed a bonafide ghost town and whether or not it had become deserted due to the presence of hollow he was unsure but should this actually be the word of there invasion here he had to ask himself just how long had this problem gone untended? How long had they left these people to suffer? It seemed his partner harbored the same questions about their location as he did, though whilst still surveying their surroundings he barely even noticed they were joined by company, that was until a child like voice piped up. The baby faced minor stood with the presence of a man, and held the eyes of one who’d seen much more than his age should allow. Already struck by just how odd it was that the one face they see in this graveyard of a settlement should be one so young the questions mounted further as he noted the kid had a sword strapped to him and it appeared to have seen use from the fraying worn exterior. After introducing himself as the towns protector he explained to them that he’d gotten his name defeating a hollow that had slain the last shinigami sent here, a grumpy dismayed expression over taking shins features as he began to grumble to himself. ”That damned woman, she tryna get me killed or something, sending me off on a mission like this without even a warning. While he was engrossed in his own thoughts it seemed Raven and the kid had struck up a deal, though the ominious tone with which the kid closed it had him feeling uneasy. Dropping to a crouch he caught the kid at eye level ”Tell you what, we make it through this successfully and I’ll match his offer, that’s the full hundred it should be enough right?” With the boy being the only one of them that actually had any sort of experience with this threat it seemed safer to have him on side , especially since that was about as prepared as they could be at this point. |

Deal! Haha. You guys don't have to worry about a thing! Shin the hero will guide you to success. This kid... Raven whispered to Kin. It was somewhat hard for Raven to take the kid seriously, but he didn't have much of a choice at the moment. So. How do you "protect" this district? I mean you aren't a Shinigami, and you're only a kid. Kinda hard to believe that you could possibly defeat a hollow. No offense. Raven tried his best not to come off as a douche bag, as the kid quickly caught an attitude, he had felt insulted by Raven's comment. It's not just me you idiot! Me and my gang of heroes defeat hollows together! And where is this group of heroes? Follow me, dumbasses! The teen said while walking past Kin, gently bumping him on the shoulder. He began walking towards a den, not too far away from where they were standing. God, I hate my job. Raven whispered to himself as he follow the teen. Raven entered right behind Shin as they entered the Den, it was quite rundown and was full of other poor teens. All heavily armed. What the hell is this? These are the heroes of this district. We all were abandoned a long time ago by out families, so we decided to stay together and make a family of our own. Raven scanned the group, there were only four of them in all. One sat down on a wooden bench, with his blade hanging from his shoulder, he had light brown hair and blue eyes, and wore the same rags Shin did. One was brown skinned, had a large afro and big lips, and the last one was a bald headed white kid. Fuckin' Shinigami The brown skinned teen said to Raven. For some odd reason Raven didn't like the vibe he was getting from the band of kids at all. It wasn't a warm reception to say the least. Now, now Joshua, no need to get all angry. These guys are paying me 100 yen to lead them to the enemy. Raven looked at his partner Kin before whispering. Suddenly this doesn't feel like the best idea out there. At this point, Raven began to feel as if they were being scammed by the group of poor thugs. A few hours of stale conversations and waiting later Well. It's pretty dark outside. Let's move out. Raven suggested. Fine. Follow me. Shin replied, as he walked out the backdoor of the Den. It was a great wooden plain in the backyard. Raven walked outside unsuspicious of the other three's actions. This was a fatal mistake, as suddenly, he felt the handle of a katana pound into his chest, Raven fell to the ground in pain. What the hell? He looked up at the kid with the afro, who had a wicked grin upon his face. What the hell do you think you're doing? Raven said in anger. Ha! You idiots really didn't think this district of the Rukongai would report hollows did you? We only sent the report to kill the Shinigamis who come here! Now, give me all of your precious Yen! Suddenly, both Kin and Raven found themselves surrounded by two blade wielding teens. As Raven rose to his feet, he gave the boy a cold stare. I knew not to trust someone as sneaky as you. But fear not. I will not kill you in cold blood, like you do to the other Shinigami who come here. Raven said as he released his blade from its scabbard. He put on a face of determination as he began to square off with the thugs.

The kid seemed to respond pretty positively to the offer, an amicable compromise struck when needed most. It was still surprising that the only one to be able to claim the title of hollow killer in this area was not even a shinigami but a child no less but with their lack of fearing the unknown perhaps a child’s bravery was exactly what was needed. It was raven that was first to question the boy’s title, with his dislike of direct confrontation Kin had been more than happy to let the child ride with his claims of glory, skeptical or no he just didn’t have the motivation to argue it and pick holes, Raven however was not quite so amiable prying until the kid declared that it wasn’t just him who’d fought off these beasts but a band of comrades with him, one he’d now take them to visit. Couldn’t hurt he figured and at this point it’s wasn’t exactly as though they had a choice, they’d already been pushed to letting a kid take the lead. What they met was no organized group of vigilantes but yet more children, crammed together in what could barely be called any more than a shack. It was saddening to see kids forced to live like this, made to grow up before their time, the only option if they wanted to protect themselves and that which they cherished, it made them cold and scornful towards the outside world, forced them to grow up without the joy, wonder and imagination that should fill the years of childhood. And yet it seemed Kins dismay at their situation was only matched by their anger towards those they blamed for it, one of the kids cursing at them no sooner had they entered, an act the shinigami only replied to with a smile. ”It’s not like we have many other options, let’s just see how this plays out, and move forward from there.” He didn’t want to give up on the kids just yet, he wanted to have faith that these really were the figures of bravery their story suggested standing up to evil for the sake of friends and family and yet he couldn’t ignore what raven had said. He’d noticed it too, this didn’t feel like the anticipating tension before a large battle, with all the shifty glances sent their way it was as though everyone was simply waiting on them to do something wary of them until it occured, though he reasoned that was simply them relying on the authorities now they had arrived. --------- Time passed and the sun sank until finally darkness bathed arid lands, on ravens cue the group set out into the night ready to face off against the threat that approached them, but mere seconds had they been out in the open when he heard the deadened thump of one of the kids weapons hitting raven in the chest, reeling backwards as he saw the blue eyed boy swipe a spear uptowards his face only to feel the footing lost from beneath him as the bald headed boy kicked his legs from beneath him. Looking at the surrounding scene he couldn’t believe how ridiculous they looked, a pair a grown men knocked on their asses by a bunch of kids with toys. Uncontrollably he burst out laughing, an act that was not taken to too kindly by the boy’s surrounding. We’re gonna get mugged and killed by a bunch of children? This joke’s so bad it’s not even funny. And the plan, what you think we carry our savings out on life threatening missions? Tch, you can tell this is the work of kids.” ”Stop mocking us!!” the spear wielding boy roared before charging at the young male and hailing him with a volley of thrusts, he danced in amidst them but was left with a streak of steadily leaking crimson having had to draw one of his katana to block the overhead swing of an axe from the baldy to his right, looking back to see the spear drawn back ready for it’s final skewering thrust now he was preoccupied. |

No money? Fine. Doesn't matter to us. You see the fact that we were abandoned and poor didn't band us together. Come on, out of all the poor people in this district what would make us band together over a regular occurance? The reason we all banded together was because at least one of our loved ones were killed by a Shinigami! And we will pay them back for what they did to us! The boy said as he rushed towards Raven he attempted to strike the boy with the handle of the sword. It was a success, as it stopped him in his tracks, his other two goons attacked Ryo, who deflected their attacks. It was scary, it was apparent to him that they had killing intent in their swings. One wrong move and Raven would be history. Be careful. These guys aren't as weak as they look! Raven exclaimed to his partner. Then again Raven himself had no idea how much power his partner had, or the two he was fighting had. Which could possibly lead to embarrassment on his part. Kill him! I want them dead! He yelled, as his subordinates began their assault on Raven. Who simply tried his best to fend them off. Some of the swings were partially getting through. This was bad, if Ryo didn't think of something and quick, it would be the end of the unseated guardian. |

Kins knee’s seemed almost to buckle under the weight of the overhead blow but his subjugation was only momentary, springing up into a jump the sudden shift of momentum throwing off the kid that had him held down and breaking their deadlock, raising his knees the spear below was left to pass through nothing but air the boy holding it thrown off by the lack of resistance to his blow and sent too far forward with the thrust, his head coming in line with the shinigamis legs and leaving him to kick off the kids skull sending him tumbling face first into the dirt while the man regained his footing with a backwards somersault. No sooner had he landed than the cueball was charging him once more axe in hand a fearsome rage behind his eyes, as though of all the misfortunes life had brought him kin was the source and here would be where he had his revenge, the axe came hailing down upon him only able to block with only one hand holding his sword, leaving him at a visible disadvantage his arm clearly struggling to support the burden of the blow, his defence mere moments from crumbling. Madness seemed to grip the kids expression as he glared down at the shinigami beneath him, the intent to kill exuding from him like an old mans body odour ”It’s over now you shinigami bastard, it’s the end for you!””Tch, this is why I called you children, Hadō #4. Byakurai” Shock and pain contorting the kids expression as he came to realize just why there had only been one hand supporting the katana, the blast of white lightning shooting straight through his ankle and causing the leg to buckle. Head falling directly into the path of a fist that rose to slam into it, sending the kid back on his ass. A shadow flitted along the ground the shinigami turning as his vision was filled with the sight of the spear wielding boy now back on his feet and weapon thrusting towards his head. Blood sprayed across the side of his face, while deep breaths were all he had to steady himself, pain causing his mind to swim. Blood trickled from his free hand, a blade pierced through it’s palm having been the only way to prevent the strike from lancing him through the head. ”Damn brats, making me work this hard and for such bullshit aswell. IS THIS REALLY WHAT YOUR LOVED ONE’S WOULD HAVE WANTED!!?!? This is nothing but an immature tantrum, taking out your frustrations on the nearest target, it’s too pathetic to be called revenge, you didn’t even bother to find the bastard actually responsible just started killing anything your blade could reach in the name of “justice” is that the sort of life they would have wanted you to live in their absence?” |
