Mod Soul Instruction Manual Your guide and need to knows about Modified Souls and how to become one. A Mod Souls' true form is a simple sphere shaped orb, strongly resembling gum balls. Designed to fit through the "mouth", a Mod Soul can animate the body or object that they are placed into, providing them with life. The body or object then gains the basic abilities that the Mod Soul possesses. A Mod Soul's true essence is the candy shape form they possess, coming in different colours and themes, they can only be destroyed when that form is destroyed. Augmentation From the moment of creation, a Mod Soul's essence is...well modified. Thus a Mod Soul is "born" with special traits. At character creation, a player chooses which aspect of the human form they wish to be enhanced. This ranges from enhanced leg strength, enhanced arm strength, enhanced vision, enhanced hearing, enhanced smell, etc. The list of augmentations acceptable are in the catalogue. Special Abilities As a Mod Soul grows in experience, they will be able to unlock Special Abilities that have been modded into them from birth. These abilities can evolve or even gain new abilities as one ranks up. If your Arcane art has a tool that it manifests from, then it has Medium Strength when not used and Strong strength when released. The Body At start you won't have your "Human" body. Instead you'll start out with an inanimate body, such as a plushie. Considered a Mod Souls "stealth" form, they can chose to animate a dead body or once they rank up, get a custom gigai. Custom gigai can be modified with special enhancements and weapons! You can also make access of any inanimate object with body parts to move (Plushies/Actions Figures/Robots/Dolls etc.) or dead bodies provided it's there. The Past In this world there exists those whom are manufactured, created to assist Shinigami; these beings are known as artificial souls. Artificial souls serve to protect and watch over a Shinigami's gigai when they must leave it to fight Hollows. However one inventor, Oda Odoroki sought to continue his role as a god! He dabbled within secret, testing the formula to create artificial souls and then to add his own spin on them. He experimented with personalities, he experimented with voice, and even experimented with giving them dreams. His studies lead to a practice known as Mod Souls. Mod Souls was a modification to artificial souls, enabling them to do more than previously thought possible. Two hundred years before the present day, Odoroki proposed to Soul Society that Mod Souls would be the perfect weapon to combat Hollows in the real world. They could take on dead bodies and fight, allowing for strategic traps. They could be designed to their liking, featuring various combat abilities and tactics. The perfect little...slaves. One among them proved their aptitude for combat, resulting in a considerable decrease in lost Shinigami. However the higher ups had been reviewing footage of the Mod Soul fights. They watched as the lifeless bodies of humans were possessed with new life, utilized without care for losing an arm or a leg. Those created to take the dead bodies of those on the battlefield. Their augmented ability meant to serve as the key to the war on Hollows. Thus upon Project Spearhead's most defining battle yet, a silent order was passed. Exterminate all Mod Souls, Project Spearhead would be discontinued. Like a god attached to his most precious creations, he illegally shipped out batches of Mod Souls to the human world, hiding them in a remote warehouse where they would not be found. Then his final act of mercy, he hid the data within those Mod Souls in order to create new Mod Souls and to continue their evolution. Oda Odoroki's location or even living status is unknown. |

When your reiatsu is low, your soul shuts down emotions, focusing on pure logic and reasoning. There is no "I can't", it's only "How can I?", there is no fear, just calm understanding and will to succeed. For the next five posts, you can overcome fear and intense pain, seemingly able to shrug it off as you continue to fight. Once the five post duration ends, all damage incurred will hit you at once and should that damage be fatal, your true form will eject from its body and break into pieces. With this your body can withstand Medium strength bludgeoning attacks, being highly resistant to damage. Though not invincible, you're able to shrug off a bit more pain than others and move forward. Code: Select All Name: Solid Rank Required: Sergeant Description:Your high amount of Reiyoku has translated into far more durable body than previously possible. It can be used to see Spiritual energy, it can see Spiritual Energy up to 60 Meters away, but they cannot tell which soul class it belongs to unless they have the appropriate sensing mod. When they see Spiritual Energy it is sort of like thermal vision, with more energy being hotter, and less being colder, before they acquire pressure sense they see everything at exactly the same temperature or level of spiritual energy, so they can't differentiate between weak, medium and strong spiritual energy. Mod Soul Masteries Name: Close Quarters Combat Practitioner Rank Required: N/A Description: Having survived many close quarter fights with foes, you've gained the ability to gauge his opponent's strikes (in terms of power), as well as the power you put into your own strikes. Prerequisite: N/A Cost: 300 XP Code for Masteries Name: Parkour Intermediate Rank Required: Seargent Description: As an Intermediate, your Parkour skills are coming into their own. With this skill you're now able to learn Advanced Parkour techniques, as well as utilize your Liquid skill whenever you attempt to dodge or move within the environment. Thus when their is some sort of obstacle in your environment (boulder, trees, rounding a corner of a building, etc), you can utilize these obstacles as a makeshift substitute in order to take damage for you while using your Liquid skill. Prerequisite: Parkour Practitioner Cost: 600 XP Code for Masteries Name: Parkour Master Rank Required: Command Sergeant Major Description: As a Parkour Master you can maneuver through the most difficult of terrain, if not impossible. People question what your legs are made of but really, you're just utilizing your reiatsu in such a way to protect your feet, as well as give you the traction you require. How impossible are the feats you've done? Now you can utilize Liquid to run vertically up walls, across quick sand and lava, tar traps? Pffft no consequence to you! Prerequisite: Parkour Intermediate Cost: 1000 XP Code for Masteries Name: Weaponry User Rank Required: N/A Description: As a soldier, you've utilized countless weapons, experienced combat up close and personal. Through this experience, you've realized you can tinker a bit with the weapons and items you come across, able to reduce charge times or cool down times by 1. Alternatively, you may add 1 additional usage to an item before it becomes useless. Prerequisite: N/A Cost: 300XP Code for Masteries Name: Weaponry Expert Rank Required: Seargent Description: As a weaponry expert you've tinkered with many a weapon and item for combat purposes. This has saved your neck many times and so you've gained good grasp of doing so.When you come across weapons and items, you're now able to reduce charge times or cool down times by 2. Alternatively, you may add 2 additional usage to an item before it becomes useless. When you reduce the charge or cool down time with this mastery, it heads into cool down for the weapons natural duration + an additional turn. Your expertise does not end there, having come across many different weapons you've now gained the ability to disarm weapons from opponents or traps. To disarm weapons an enemy is using, you must come into close quarters with the enemy. At which point if you can make contact with the weapon, you'll be able to disarm them. Once you've disarmed the enemy, this mastery goes into cool down for 3 turns.
