Update on the security breach: http://forum.project-terra.com/index.php?/topic/8958-beta-and-alpha-info/
So -- recap how I'm understanding this: the version we've been playing has been the Alpha release. With the amount of time it would take to fix Alpha, they could be working on releasing the Beta. So they're shutting Alpha down permanently, and working on releasing the Beta version in October. Both Stable and Sandbox will be down until Beta's released -- so no more PT until then. EDIT: For public discussion on this unfortunate occurrence, and how it relates to the CCC in PT, go vent or comment in This Thread Here. For Commonwealth Citizens/CCC Members to privately plan our alliance's future in PT once Beta is released, please discuss over in this thread here. Edited by Sheldomar, Aug 27 2012, 11:07 AM.

The above was taken from one of the update threads by the game mods and developers (Thanks JesusFreak for reposting that!!) They've begun with limited testing, issuing invites to only a few players to test the game out before releasing it to the general public. So if you're really itching to play PT, check both the email account you used for registering for PT, and your messages in the Project Terra Game Forum. They're going to gradually expand the invites over time, little by little, before opening the doors to everyone. So it sounds like the vast majority of us will have to wait....and wait.... |

Update: the game is still in the process of being rebuilt from scratch. It is in closed beta at this time, but from what I gather, it is in a barely half-functional test mode. It is taking quite a while to rebuild, and it will take quite longer still. At this pace, I'm guessing that there's a good chance that it won't be available to the general public until sometime around April or May at the very, very soonest. That's my guess. (Hey, you've got coders trying to re-write an entire computer program from scratch for free, and they're finding it's taking them a lot longer than they originally expected -- much, much longer....) The game now has a web-site again -- project-terra.com/ -- however, you cannot register to play unless Admin has sent to you an 'invite code.' Also, the original thread dealing with questions about how soon the game will be back on line that I linked in the OP of this thread -- that has been closed. They got tired of answering peoples' questions on 'how much longer?' New update thread is perma-locked, and can be found here: http://forum.project-terra.com/index.php?/topic/9124-official-beta-information/. Last update (Dec. 3rd, 2012), is that they got companies functional in closed beta. This is going to be a loooooooooong wait, folks. Meanwhile, for your entertainment, you may watch this .... ![]() EDIT: Feb. 21, 2013, and Project Terra is still in closed Beta, administrative staff only, with a long way yet to go. Go back to playing CyberNations for the foreseeable future. Or play Lord of the Rings Online, and hook up with "A Light in the Darkness" kinship on the Dwarrowdelf server. No fun to be had here, move along folks, move along.... Edited by Sheldomar, Feb 21 2013, 10:28 PM.
