Origins

COG is a sixth generation clan dating back to Halo 2. KSI (Killing Services Incorporated) was the first community created. Divided into 2 groups competitive and recreational. It had one leader and we know this is no good. Decisions are one sided and high ranking officers don’t get the time of day. Plus some of the rules were being ignored entirely. Soon some of the leadership, known as the Exiled Kings, broke off and formed Xiled Gaming Company (XGC). It was friendlier and more democratic in organization.

Soon plagued by drama and power struggles, Disciples of Gaming (DoG) was formed a great new organization in Halo 2. With over 2000 members with great leadership. For a few years it was one of the best clans to be a part of. Although when Halo 3 came out it was not a smooth transition. Only a few hundred members were left in Halo 2 and eventually was shut down. Not even a ¼ of the members made it in to Halo 3 clans. Though the community grew fast members stopped having as much fun and were caught up in the politics. Some men decided to make a change.

CRG started with the help of LucifersRouge and CRG BigGreen. These men came from two different games CoD and Halo. With the help of CRG Lawless, Lucifer created the first ever CRG CoD 4 branch (ArchAngel) while Big Green enlisted the help of Temporicide to create the first ever CRG Halo 3 branch (Reborn). All of these members came from the same original community, but decided to institute a better place in order to treat its members in a more humane manner. Many members left along side these brave individuals without their initial push, none of this would have been possible, so it was very disappointing when it failed.

It was unfortunate that Lawless, unable to let go of his former clan or able to realize that ArchAngel was not under his influence, tried to use his administrative abilities to virtually wipe out ArchAngel. But he did not succeed, with the help of his Captains ANIMAL INSTINCT and DESTINATION 666, LucifersRouge founded K.I.G. Killer Instinct Gaming. Together they brought the best ideals of all their predecessors while remembering that they are real people playing a game. Unfortunately LucifersRouge and the other founders had a confrontation resulting in Lucifer creating another community. Leaving just ANIMAL and DESTINATION this was ok for about a year. Though not all was well some started to get power hungry and some chose to ignore the opinions of their lower officers and disrespected them in the process. KIG was my home for over 3 years and it was great but we decided to take It back to the way it once was.

How we got Started

Classified Omega Gaming was started because we were not happy with the way our former community was being ruled. It did not matter what we said or did our opinions did not matter. This is how we felt. We wanted to take the community back to its roots what it was established upon. So we came up with this place and thought long and hard on a name. On November 22, 2011 Classified Omega Gaming on Zetaboards was founded by me SnowboundMirage, RM YinYang and RUTHless5910.

We were amateurs in website design, creation and graphics, but we persisted and through diligence and lots of suggestions we were able to come up with an excellent website. We are not a rich community but our membership is free we only ask for mature players and that you have fun with the people in this community. Treating your fellow COG members with the up most respect.

The founders like to think of COG as a big family where we are not out of contact. We are easily reached this is because we value every persons opinion and rely upon those opinions to further the community. Our base principle is if you don’t like something say something. If you don’t nothing can be done about it.

Code of Conduct

We expect all members of this community to uphold these rules within the best of there abilities. These guidelines were passed down to us through our former clan, and they were the foundation it was originally built upon. We should treat everyone with respect. COG and your rank should appear in your clan tag and motto at all times no exceptions. I also know that if someone on the enemy team is cussing you out you want to retaliate, if you do stay within the Code. If he still persists to talk trash mute him, because no body likes to hear someone continuously arguing with some random stranger.

First and foremost there is a word that should not ever be mentioned inside this community for good reason. This is the ban word, meaning if it is used more than the occasional slip, disciplinary action will be taken. This includes but is not limited to demotion and or banning from the community. This word is the word RAPE. We are striving to have a well rounded community with both males and females. This word offends most females and in all instances is just a plain disrespectful word. You can own your enemies you can stomp them you can crush them but don’t ever say your going to rape them this is our number 1 rule and should be up held at all times. There is no other words that we will say are banned. We only ask that every one talk to your fellow COG's with the up most respect. If you think something will offend someone then don't say it. This is a sign of maturity knowing what to say and what not to say. If someone tells you not to say something in front of them then don't. If you jump into a friends lobby, and are playing with members you have not met yet, its only smart to watch what you say until you are used to each other.

Secondly no mod’s, no hacks, and absolutely no glitch’s any play style outside of the realm that game designers intended for the game to be played.

Third and final if you are to jump into an active lobby of COG and are on the opposite team you may be asked to leave. If you are asked then please do so respectfully. It is not to offend it is merely a request that you do not compete against them. This is because you may hurt someones kill death or possibly be the reason for their loss, and this may cause tension. At the same time if a fellow COG member is to join into your active lobby, and you do not tell them to leave you should not go off on them cussing them out etc. Because its your fault just simply tell them to leave respectfully and this will make friendships much smoother in this community. We understand that sometimes it is hard to not snap. If you are to do so then please apologize promptly because it is the mature thing to do.

We also do not want anyone to post obscene comments videos or pictures on our website this is a place for mature gamers. We expect all members in the community to be treated with respect. If you are having an issue with someone in the community bring it to one of the higher ranking officials. If your problem persists request an audience with one of us founders and we will bring both parties in and discuss the issue together. We want to be a part of the whole community, and we want everyone’s opinions to matter. Everyone’s voice carries weight and we want you to know this.

Ranking Structure

COG- A New Recruit in Classified Omega Gaming. Simply required to get play time with as many members as possible. Once it is established that they are a good fit for COG, They will be brought fully into COG.

COG1- A full member of the COG community. The number one responsibility of this rank is to be sure to be active in attending meetings. This rank may also assist with practices and smaller responsibilities if they so choose.

COG2- This is the rank where responsibilities start to come in to play. Along with the responsibilities of a 1, COG2's now must have a minimum of 2 practices a month. Practices are easiest if you make it a weekly thing, allowing members to know through repetition when practices are and who is having them, but it is not necessary to do so. If a COG1 is interested in assisting with practices or having a practice, a COG2 must be there and is responsible for guiding them along.

COG3- Alongside the responsibilities previously mentioned, a COG3 must also hold a job. Jobs that can be assigned to this rank are the meeting recaps and the recruit tag. If there are more 3's than there are jobs, they may either double up or cycle out, but it is important for COG3's to begin to get a feel for this type of responsibility. COG3 is also a very important rank because this is where they will begin to bring in new recruits and creating their own original way to do so. 3's are also responsible for training the COG 2's in the way of their recruiting process. And are able to approve a COG 2's recruiting process. At which time they are to inform the COG 4's and or 5's of this to possibly have the COG 2 promoted to a 3.

COG4- This rank begins to hold the other jobs, such as a Section Representative, the Section Tag Operator, and the Forum Moderator. On top of these jobs and holding practices, this rank is also responsible for assisting the COG5's and being sure that the other ranks are doing their responsibilities. COG4's should be ready to take on the responsibility of a 5 at any given time. This is the first rank in which members can promote and demote when proper discussion of this infraction has been made.

COG5- These are the Section Leaders. There is 2 per section, creating a teamwork and democratic approach to running a section for better balance. This rank must run a section smoothly and also keep their rosters up to date.

COGF- These are the 3 founders (SnowboundMirage, RM YinYang, and RUTHless5910) that are responsible for overseeing the 5's among other individual responsibilities. As you can see, rank is about responsibility and contributing to the COG community. We want to hear ideas from all ranks, and give equal opportunity to all.

Promotions

This page is simple if you want a promotion in this community you have to be able and willing to do the work required of your next rank. There is no fast or easy way to get your promotion. You will have to acquire the knowledge of the rank you wish to be promoted to, and be able to list the responsibilities off the top of your head.

To be promoted from the recruit rank you have to have played a minimum of 15 games with other community members. This is so we can see if you will fit in. We want to see how you conduct yourself in the face of defeat or if you’re having a bad game.

To be promoted from a COG 1 to a COG 2 you need to be attending all the meetings possibly assisting the 2’s with practices if need be.

To be promoted from a COG 2 to a COG 3 you need to have been holding your practices and listing what you went over. You need to have held at least 4 solid practices, as well as having prepared some sort of recruitment speech in your own words of course. This speech will asked for when being promoted for an example. This is a peak rank for members in this community because being a 3 means that the responsibility has doubled, and a lot more is asked from you. Getting your COG 3 may take some time.

To be promoted from a COG 3 to a COG 4 you should have read in a minimum of 6 recruits to COG 1’s. This is to ensure that you have a great understanding of the community and that the members you have brought in are more than willing to participate in the community. It also tells us that you have passed down our values properly and in a manner appealing to new recruits. You must have also ran the recruit tag, managed the roster, and or done the meeting recaps.

To be promoted from a COG 4 to a COG 5 you have shown great interest in the community and should be ready and willing to accept this position at any time. You have done all the responsibilities below you at least once (preferably more than once). You should have a basic understanding of what’s required to run a section smoothly and should be able to work well with your fellow COG 4’s because one of them will be promoted along side you so as to keep a fair and balanced leadership in the community and in your section. There is no one COG 5 greater than another they are all equal. As well as having no more power than that of a COG 1 only more responsibilities everyone’s voice is equal.

Recruiting

To recruit new members you have to play a minimum of 15 games with them or have someone in the community who has. You also have to go over a few things with them first.

First make sure he/she goes to the website registers and posts on the roster section on the forum.

Express to them the views and principles of the community you have to make sure they have read this Members Guide thoroughly.

You need to still go over the Code of Conduct with them make sure they understand it.

The last thing to go over with a new recruit is that he/she has to add the recruit tag to their friends list as well as at least one of the founders and your section leader.

Now I don’t expect anyone to copy this guideline or to follow it one by one everyone should have there own way to bring in members. In his/or her own words. Explain to them for as long or as short as necessary. As long as these topics are covered and the new recruit understands and agrees to these guidelines.
