After this week's game, I decided it might be nice to come up with some new ways of handling ourselves in battle. I don't know about the rest of you, but having few powers makes things feel slightly repetitive for me. We also haven't done much in terms of using skills and environment (excluding barrels!) to our advantages. It's fine if you are happy with the way combat goes now, but if anyone would like to discuss how to maybe further our abilities in a fight, this is the place to do it. Some of the things I've been considering today involve bluff to grant combat advantage. For example, an enemy could possibly be tricked into believing there is a threat behind him. To get even more complex, one could flank an ally (no that's not a mistake) and convince the enemy that we mean to attack our own side. Assuming you have some sort of range, (Shaorin has a +2 to reach if he uses inescapable blade), you could then attack the enemy when he wasn't expecting it. Maybe use cover like forests and the like to do some stealth checks as well. Anyway this is just an example of a few things we could do to get a bit of an upper hand during fights, make things a little more interesting and maybe even make things a bit easier for the Chronicler ![]() What other creative things might we do to improve our battle plans? |

| Ok so after talking to the DM we believed bluff to be a free action since it is speaking. Turns out it's a standard. It can be used once per encounter in order to grant combat advantage. Still gives us something to think about. |

One, you could have merely edited your post instead of double posting Second, this is good, let people know that you ca be helping the group in the battle even if you haven't used any of your named powers. Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box.At the end of the day anything can work as long as you commit to it.Just look at Rokke's attempt at intimidation a guy that ended up with his severed head.
