Authority; Did I spell that right?

Posts: 26 Group: Global Moderators Member #4 Joined: Feb 2, 2012	With this being set in a new world, there's bound to be some sort of authority. So I'm basically asking/suggesting what sort of authority is there? Like is there a King or Queen, or both? My way of looking at this would be a traditional 'pyramid', with the highest authority at the top and the lowest at the bottom. Now, with authority obvisouly comes those who would abuse it like politicians for their own deeds. This could be something worth looking at, such as for a Site Event, plus it also ties in with that I want my 1st character to start up a revolution-ary group. (If anyone takes this idea, I will throttle them and drown them.)

Posts: 7 Group: Members Member #9 Joined: Feb 3, 2012	How about there be an Arch-Wizard, and King could be the highest, The king could rule over the normal humans, whole the Arch-Wizard could rule over all things mythic. The Arch-wizard and King could have signed a peace treaty so the Arch-wizard never use his magic towards the king, or something like that.

Posts: 26 Group: Global Moderators Member #4 Joined: Feb 2, 2012	That reminds me of Old Medieval times, where the Church was the highest power and could even take power from Kings (yep that powerful). So it would come down to how powerful the Arch-Wizard would be, since we don't really know what Mythic is in Link/Clouds world and if the Arch-Wizard would assist in social matters. Damn, given me an idea. Perhaps, if there were an Arch-Wizard, there could be a Council of sorts. In which the King and the Lords (if any), as well as the Arch-Wizard congregate to discuss matters that concern them all, the country etc etc.

Posts: 7 Group: Members Member #9 Joined: Feb 3, 2012	i like that! maybe there could be a king/lord from each race still around, one for humans, trolls, orges, druids, mountian people. like 5 or 6 kings/lords, and the Arch-wizard could be the leader of this couincal, because the Arch-wizard shows no sides, and is known to be every race into one.

Posts: 26 Group: Global Moderators Member #4 Joined: Feb 2, 2012	That might work, although as Link himself said, all the races except Humans disappeared and so I would imagine the Lords of the other races would as well. This would then lead to, the new Lords of each city/town (if thats how the Lords will work) being Humans. The Arch-Wizard could act as an Oracle, he/she is asked for their opinion on the matter and what they see and yet also don't see in result of what is discussed, basically the Arch-Wizard acts like an advisor in the council but is highly regarded and possibly also highly feared.

The Arch-wizard could be the who captured the other Races, and wants a human only race, and he only speaks to the lords/kings through a ball or something, and some lords dont trust him because he never shows his face. He could be holding all the other races captive on an island or somehting. He could be using the world as his playing feild, and with his Level of magic, he could create beings from nothing, for people to fight and stuff, just be OPed to the max lol Edited by DemonKing, Feb 3 2012, 04:39 PM.

Like I said, and using your idea as reference, the Council could be the only time when the Arch-Wizard actually appears in person, and yes he or she does not reveal their face and rarely talks to anyone in private or otherwise. You make this sound like World of Warcraft ... *references the Lich King*.

Posts: 26 Group: Global Moderators Member #4 Joined: Feb 2, 2012	Lol. I do actually like the idea of the Arch-Wizard living on a lone island, since its secluded and to him/herself. They would rarely have visitors, except for any wild beasts/animals if any at all.

Posts: 7 Group: Members Member #9 Joined: Feb 3, 2012	yea, he/she could give the excuse of being alone, helps his magic with the world, helps him understand everything around him. like medatating. he/she could be a real badass. If he/she does live alone, he/she could have a group of sevents that goes to meets these lords and stuff.
